Chapter 36: To The Rescue

A whole day had passed and Isabella was still tied up in that chair. There wasn't any weapon in the room so that she could cut the rope, the only way was to wiggle out from it which wasn't working. Stefan fed her with his own hands making her want to throw it up but she was really hungry and the food was the only way to stay her woke.

The area was abandoned and she knew they were the only people there making her scared than ever. It was night time and the only thing lighting up the room was moonlight but it wasn't enough as the room was still dark. Stefan was in another room probably sound asleep.

Isabella cried out in agony as it was really painful sitting in a chair for a whole day. She just wanted to get out of there and lie down somewhere so that the pain would ease. Her body was numb from sitting all day and she so wanted to ask Stefan if she could lie down somewhere but she had decided to not talk to him and was giving him the silent treatment.

Stefan told her that they were flying to London the next day which only increased her stress. That man was being unbelievable. She was stressing out about the whole situation so much thinking that what could possibly happen if she didn't run away from there at the moment.

Tears streamed down her face as she cried out loud. "Fuck!" She yelled at herself for being so careless and letting Stefan step in her house when she knew he screamed danger. She couldn't help but let her mind wander to Seth who would be in pain right now and cursing her. He gave her everything, not caring about the relation of boss and secretary between them and this is how she was paying him.

"What are we going to do?" Thiago asked as they all sat in the living room of Seth's penthouse

"We can track Isabella's phone!" Carson added

"Yeah but do you think she would still have her phone with her, she didn't even try to call us for help" Seth said rubbing his temples. He was worried about her whereabouts. Only when they were starting to live peacefully, all of this happened. He swore to himself he would chop that man into pieces when he'll find him

"We can still try" Thiago added

Seth agreed to both of them and they decided to track Isabella's phone. It was a chilly night when the three of them went searching for Isabella.

All of this tracking idea worked and they found Isabella's phone in the middle of nowhere  almost 3 km away form the town but the idea didn't work that much as her phone was lying in the middle of the road, and it's screen was cracked. Isabella probably tried to call someone for help and Stefan attacked her and the phone went flying out of the car's window. But still had to find Isabella anyhow. They kept going straight on the road as their was no sign of streetlights and they were still hoping for the best.

She kept blaming herself when suddenly she heard gunshots being fired around the abandoned building. She was alarmed wondering if they were being attacked. She closed her eyes hoping that the killer would think she's unconscious and would leave her. A little bit lame but it was the only thing she could think of at that time.

She heard footsteps nearing the room she was in and she shut her eyes tightly making sure that no noise was made due to her movements.

"Isabella" A familiar voice came and she opened her eyes finding Carson standing in front of her

"Huh? What are you doing here Carson?" Isabella asked him totally confused as to how did he find her because they were in an abandoned area

"Look, I'll tell you everything later, right now just come with me" Carson said as he untied her. She stood up from the chair and stretched her arms finally feeling good. "Come on" Carson said as he held her hand and they left the room.

They slowly creeped down the stairs making sure that they made no noise. Their steps were cautious "Carson" Isabella whispered

"What?"

"How are we going to leave this place? There's one of Stefan's men outside the door" Isabella said in a hushed voice

"There's a back door" Carson said as they procceded downstairs

"You're here alone?"

"No, Seth and Thiago are outside along with some cops in disguise" Isabella's legs started trembling at the name of Seth thinking about how hurt he would be.

"Bella!" Stefan's voice boomed through the hall. Upon hearing his voice, Carson quickly pulled Isabella inside the nearest room and placed his hand on her mouth. Her eyes widened as she prayed he wouldn't create any fuss. They could hear his footsteps on the stairs.

A gunshot was heard from upstairs. Isabella frozed, all her breath trapped. Her heart was pounding loudly in her chest and her breathing was harsh.

"What are we going to do?" She whispered in a hushed tone

"Let's just hope he doesn't come looking for you in here till then, we're safe"

"Stefan's a crazy person, he can do anything we'll have to be quick" Isabella whispered

"Yeah we'll have to distract him and then we could leave through the back door" But it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Stefan had his men surrounding the house from every corner

"Um you should text Seth, maybe he can do anything to distract him" Isabella suggested

"Right" Carson texted Seth while Isabella kept taking sneaky glances outside the room

"He said he'll think of something" Carson said as he walked slowly and hesitantly towards the door to find Stefan

"Where the fuck did this bitch go?" Stefan's voice roared through the place, it seemed like he was talking to someone and not himself

"I-I don't know" The other man stuttered

"What the hell were you doing all this time huh? I assigned you just one duty and that was to make sure that girl doesn't run away and look what you did, bastard!" Stefan spoke loudly making Isabella flinch at his voice and choice of words

"I-I fell asleep but I would help you in finding her" The man said

"Do I pay you for sleeping your ass off? You're fired" Stefan said and started walking towards the kitchen leaving no room for discussion. All of this situation seemed like he was in a gang or something and was the leader himself, it was all so cliche.

'Like why I do always get stuck in some weird ass problems?' Isabella thought

Gunshots were heard again making both of them still. Carson was continuously hoping everything would go as planned. When he felt that Seth and the others succeededin distracting Carson, he grabbed Isabella's hand and they both walked out of the room slowly. But as this wasn't any movie that everything would go as planned. As they were just about to make their way towards the back door, they heard Stefan's voice.

"Stop!" His voice roared, there was a gun in his hand and there were some people behind him trying to make him stop and Seth was one of them as well.

"RUN!" Carson yelled and took Isabella's hand making their way towards the back door but it was difficult as their were boxes scattered on the floor. Isabella tripped over a box and fell down, taking advantage of that situation one of Carson's men aimed a knife towards her but she luckily deflected it. "Fuck you, asshole!" Isabella yelled and tried to stand up. There was chaos everywhere. Behind her, Carson was yelling her to get up. She took the knife lying beside her and ran towards Carson.

"Stop running or else I'll shoot him" Stefan's voice boomed through the hall. Isabella turned aroud and found Stefan holding a gun against Seth's forehead.

"No, keep him out of this. I'll come with you wherever you want but please don't harm him"

"Okay then, we have a deal. Come here you whore" Stefan smirked.

Seth punched Stefan's stomach in rage, not caring about the gun in his hand. "You bastard, how dare you call her that!" But Stefan pulled the trigger of the gun and shot him on his arm.

"Argh!" Seth yelled out loud in pain and collapsed on the floor

"Seth!" Isabella ran towards him. Sitting beside him she cried pleading him to stay strong. She looked around trying to find something to cover up his bleeding arm. But there was nothing except boxes scattered on the floor.

The cops behind Seth had taken out their guns and one of them shot Stecan on the leg. He fell down crying in pain "I won't leave anyone of you!" He groaned in pain

Thiago called an ambulance and Carson stayed with Seth in the ambulance while Isabella and Thiago followed them in his car. The cops had taken Stefan with them, he would be given time to heal his wound and then was to be put in jail. All of Stefan's men were arrested even though the cops were late in shooting Stefan but still they did a nice job but Seth was facing the consequence lying in the hospital bed, unconscious.  Isabella wasted no time in going back to her apartment and changing, she was beside him from the moment they stepped inside the hospital. Carson was attacked by Stefan's man with the knife but luckily the cut wasn't that deep and the doctor bandaged his hand.

Ellie and Hailey came to the hospital the very next moment they came to know about everything. Ellie was worried sick when she came to know about Isabella was missing. "Bella" She ran towards her once she saw her

"I came to know about everything, I'm so sorry I mean you are going to stay with me at my apartment now, we can't risk your life anymore, I'm sorry I'm blabbering but how are you? Did he hurt you? You know Seth was so angry and worried when you called him from Stefan's phone-"

"Ellie, I'm fine no need to worry about me and he's in jail, he won't hurt me anymore" But deep down Isabella was still frightened from all the scene and she was afraid to go back to her apartment and spend the night alone.

"I'm so sorry, he's such a sick bastard I mean who does that? But you know you're not alone anymore don't worry about it" Ellie reassured her

Isabella was thankful to Carson and Thiago who helped her getting out of that person's hold and getting him arrested but at the same time she kept blaming herseof for Seth's condition. She just kept praying he would be fine and would forgive her for what she said to him on the phobe even though it was not that easy but she still kept hoping.
