Chapter 579: 579 Luo Ziling's Domineering Presence
The Young Urban Doctor
The middle-aged man in his forties, who was leading the group, shouted authoritatively amidst the chaotic scene, âWhat are you all doing?â
This middle-aged man was none other than Ling Mingjun, the father of Ling Haiyang, who had been viciously beaten by Luo Ziling.
However, Luo Ziling didnât recognize these people. Although he had seen them while he was in the room, he had been busy treating Ling Jinhuaâs illness, and Ling Ruonan hadnât introduced their identities to him. He knew they were elders of the Ling Family but didnât know who they were specifically.
âDad, save me,â cried Ling Haiyang, who had been beaten by Luo Ziling and felt as if all his bones were broken, in agony, âThis bastard actually dared to hit me, you must avenge me.â
With a âthudâ of his foot, Luo Ziling kicked Ling Haiyang, who hadnât managed to get up from the ground and was crawling towards him, several meters away, and then said fiercely, âIf you dare to curse me again, Iâll cripple you. I have a father, and I have a mother, what gives you the right to call me a bastard?â
Ling Zhengjun was stunned by Luo Zilingâs action. He had made an entrance, and this kid still dared to strike, it was downright lawless; where did that leave their face?
The other members of the Ling Family were also shocked, gaping in disbelief. They never expected that Ling Ruonanâs son would dare to beat Ling Haiyang in front of them.
With the arrival of the elders, the other descendants of the Ling Family grew bolder as well; seeing Luo Ziling still daring to strike, they clustered around him, filled with righteous indignation.
âYou bastard, how dare you cause trouble in the Ling Family Old Mansion.â
âBeat this bastard to death.â
âHit him, letâs see if he dares to be arrogant.â
In response to the shouting of the descendants of the Ling Family was still the angry roar of Luo Ziling and the force of his fierce punches and kicks.
Under the watchful eyes of Ling Zhengjun and the others, Luo Ziling sent six or seven of the descendants who had crowded around him flying. Yes, kicked them flying, literally kicking them several meters into the air; one even crashed into Ling Zhengjunâs arms, almost toppling him over.
If there had not been someone standing behind him, Ling Zhengjun would have certainly fallen to the ground.
Although Ling Zhengjunâs status in the Ling Family wasnât as eminent as Ling Mingruiâs son, Ling Zhengping, it was still a position of great reverence. He had never suffered such disrespect and abuse from anyone before. Therefore, after scrambling to his feet in embarrassment, he roared furiously, âSeize this bastard!â
To everyoneâs surprise, just as Ling Zhengjun roared the word âbastard,â Luo Ziling, who had originally stopped, suddenly stepped forward, grabbed Ling Zhengjun by the collar, slapped him hard across the face, and then bellowed, âIf you dare to call me a bastard again, try it?â
The slap was heavy, causing Ling Zhengjunâs face to swell up on one side.
Ling Zhengjun was stunned, and so was everyone else.
Nobody expected Luo Ziling to dare hit Ling Zhengjun, especially in front of so many people, and on the face, no less.
Ling Zhengjun was overawed by Luo Zilingâs domineering presence, staring at him with a dazed expression, no longer daring to call Luo Ziling a bastard.
Only then did Luo Ziling let go of Ling Zhengjunâs neck and tossed him aside.
Ling Zhengjun staggered backward a few steps and was steadied by a few people behind him before he could gather his wits.
Furious to the extreme, he roared again, âSeize him, and beat him out with sticks.â
Facing Luo Zilingâs eyes that had turned red with anger, Ling Zhengjun, though having been slapped, still didnât dare to call Luo Ziling a bastard again.
The others were so frightened by Luo Zilingâs assertiveness that they involuntarily stepped back, their faces filled with horror, as if they had seen a demon.
Meanwhile, Ling Haining, who had been lurking on the sidelines enjoying the show, couldnât help but be overjoyed. He hadnât expected Luo Ziling to be so reckless as to beat up an elder of the Ling Family in front of so many people.
âA brave but ignorant warrior,â was Ling Hainingâs new appraisal of Luo Ziling. In his eyes, Luo Ziling no longer qualified as his opponent.
A group of black-clad bodyguards had already come in, but they didnât rush forward until Ling Zhengjun bellowed again, prompting them to step forward and encircle Luo Ziling.
Yet, they still didnât make a move.
They didnât make a move, and Luo Ziling didnât continue to fight either. He just watched them with cold eyes.
âStop!â
âStop!â
A manâs robust voice and a womanâs voice sounded from behind the crowd; then a woman in high heels rushed through the crowd, shoved a black-clad man aside, and ran to Luo Zilingâs side.
Upon looking, Luo Ziling saw it was his mother, Ling Ruonan.
At this moment, Ling Ruonan looked pale and distraught.@@novelbin@@
The other man who had called out to stop was Ling Mingrui. He walked over with an authoritative air, glaring furiously at the people and bellowed, âWhat are you doing? On the old masterâs birthday, youâre actually brawling in public?â
âLingâer, what happened? How did it come to blows with them?â Ling Ruonan grabbed Luo Zilingâs hand, scanned him up and down, and after seeing no injuries on Luo Ziling, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Ignoring the stares of others, she looked icily at the nearby descendants of the Ling Family. âYouâve gone too far, ganging up on my son alone. Are you trying to beat my son to death or what?â
âLing Ruonan, donât slander us,â roared Ling Zhengjun, his face swollen from being struck, âItâs your bastard son who attacked us.â
With a loud âsmack,â the sound of a heavy slap echoed once more.
Luo Ziling, his hand held by Ling Ruonan, leaped forward and slapped Ling Zhengjun across the face before anyone could react. Now both sides of Ling Zhengjunâs face were swollen.
âWho dares to call me a bastard again? Try me!â Luo Ziling roared with bitter anger, completely disregarding the people standing beside him. âIâll tell you, I wonât allow anyone to insult me, nor will I allow anyone to insult my parents, or else Iâll fight you to the death.â
âHow insolent,â Ling Mingrui was equally stunned by Luo Zilingâs recent actions, but it wasnât until Luo Ziling had shouted the latter words that he snapped back to reality. With a murderous look on his face, he growled at Luo Ziling, âYou have no right to run wild here. Seize him!â
âLingâer, donât make a scene,â Ling Ruonanâs heart sank, never in her dreams thinking that the situation would become so out of hand. Despite her savvy, she could not come up with a perfect solution at such a time.
Although Luo Zilingâs audacious action irritated her, she also felt proud. Her son had truly grown up and was willing to defend his motherâs honor in public.
When the Ling Family called Luo Ziling a bastard, they were insulting her too.
If Luo Ziling hadnât struck out, she would have surely lost her temper, even in front of her own father.
However, with Luo Ziling having struck out, even hitting his uncle Ling Zhengjun, things had really escalated.
At that moment, the black-clad men finally stopped hesitating and all rushed forward.
