When he got off at the school gate, Chen Xiaoyi reminded him once again that she would invite him out to play when they had time, and insisted that Luo Ziling could not refuse.

But Luo Ziling was still thinking about what excuse he could use to refuse Chen Xiaoyi’s invitation because he really didn’t want to have too much contact with this beauty.

On the way to the dormitory, he received a call from Ling Ruonan who inquired about his day.

Ling Ruonan often called or sent messages to Luo Ziling in the evening to ask how his day had been. It wasn’t every day, sometimes several nights in a row, and sometimes with a few days in between. It didn’t make Luo Ziling feel like she was interfering in his life, but it did let him feel his mother’s care.

Luo Ziling really liked this kind of care because, after missing out on motherly love for so many years and now having it back, he cherished it very much.
