“You’re not a good actor,” Ouyang Feifei eventually said with a hint of anger. “Can you dare to deny that this incident has nothing to do with you?”

Running his fingers through a woman’s hair felt really good; that was a sudden realization for Luo Ziling.

Due to long hours of work, Ouyang Feifei often suffered from neck pains, and that was the area most in need of massage.

So, even though skin brushed against skin as Luo Ziling massaged that area, she did not pull away.

As Luo Ziling’s slender, smooth hands massaged her neck, Ouyang Feifei, who had always refused any man’s touch in any way, wanted Luo Ziling to continue rather than stop.

“Okay, go lie down,” Luo Ziling suggested, as standing up to massage Ouyang Feifei made him feel restless, especially breathing in her scent and getting fleeting glimpses of her sleepwear that hinted at something more. Hence, he quickly suggested she lie down to prevent any further distraction.

Ouyang Feifei obediently stood up, went to the bed, and lay face down.

“I’m surprised you could actually make someone from Dragon Rise work for you,” Ouyang Feifei said as she lay down. “I’m quite astonished at your capability.”

“Smack,” Luo Ziling hit Ouyang Feifei in irritation and said angrily, “If you keep talking about this nonsense, I won’t treat you.”

After a surprised yelp, Ouyang Feifei sat up abruptly and said angrily, “What are you doing?”

“Punishing you,” Luo Ziling said unapologetically, looking at Ouyang Feifei, “Lie down.”

Ouyang Feifei quickly lay back down.

As she lay down, her mind filled with increasing annoyance, and finally, she couldn’t help but kick Luo Ziling.

Luo Ziling reacted instinctively, and when Ouyang Feifei’s leg was about to kick him, he caught it, then awkwardly let go. “Stop causing trouble, okay? If you keep fidgeting like this, I won’t be responsible for what happens later.”

What Luo Ziling meant was, if she moved during the treatment and got the needles placed wrongly, he wouldn’t take responsibility. But to Ouyang Feifei, it sounded like something else altogether.

Today’s treatment session felt more exhausting for Luo Ziling than previous ones, especially since they were done before dinner. After finishing, he collapsed on the floor, exhausted. Ouyang Feifei seemed tired too; during the process, she was unresponsive, as if asleep.

Afterward, Luo Ziling lay on the floor and she on the bed, both motionless and silent for at least twenty minutes.

In the end, it was Luo Ziling who recovered first. As he sat up from the floor and saw Ouyang Feifei still sleeping there, he couldn’t resist the urge to tease her. Bending over and leaning in, he stretched his head towards the bed to see what Ouyang Feifei was doing.

Unexpectedly, Ouyang Feifei was already awake and was startled by the sudden intrusion, turning over reflexively.

The trouble was, as she turned over, her head rose, and she ended up face-to-face with Luo Ziling at close quarters.
