Chapter 379: 379: Being Your Guarding Angel

Luo Ziling had returned to the dormitory to find the other three guys already there, talking loudly and shamelessly bragging, all the while commenting on the pretty girls at school. However, when they saw Luo Ziling come in, they all simultaneously shut up.

As Luo Ziling opened the door and entered, he distinctly heard them talking about Yang Qingyin. He immediately asked them, looking really fierce, what they were discussing just now!

“We were just saying that Goddess Yang’s beauty blows all the other campus beauties out of the water. She is the undisputed No. 1,” Cao Jianhui chuckled as he responded to Luo Ziling’s question, “Seriously, all those girls on the campus beauty list have flaws, except Goddess Yang. She’s perfect.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Li Fuming chimed in eagerly, “We are really envious that Boss, you found such a girl…”

He didn’t get to finish saying “girlfriend” before Luo Ziling interrupted him, “Enough, don’t talk about this topic anymore. If you bring it up again, be prepared get hit; but if you drop it, I’ve got fruit to share.”

“We want fruit,” the three guys immediately rushed over, Cao Jianhui yelling, “Brother wants to eat fruit to lose weight.”

Looking at the ridiculous antics of these three guys, Luo Ziling suddenly felt very happy. He was truly grateful to have met these three unique roommates. The debates and playfulness he shared with them gave him a sense of youth and vitality, along with a harmonious feeling that couldn’t be expressed in words.

Compared to the solitary life he had lived for over a decade, his current life was much more flavorful.

Yang Qingyin mentioned in her message that she was back and had reluctantly accompanied her roommate to celebrate her birthday. She also ran into a few self-important guys who tried to cozy up, and it was really tedious.

“Didn’t any guy take advantage of you?” Luo Ziling replied with a message, adding several smirking emojis.

“How could that happen? Xiaoli was with me!” Yang Qingyin replied with several eye-rolling emojis to express her displeasure.

Then, another message came in: “Junior, ‘Wolf Warrior 2,’ interested?”

“What?” Luo Ziling was confused, “What’s ‘Wolf Warrior 2’?”

“It’s a newly released movie that’s said to be really good,” a few giggling emojis followed Yang Qingyin’s message.

Luo Ziling immediately understood Yang Qingyin’s hint, “So how about I treat Little Yang to a movie tomorrow night?”

“If I’m free tomorrow, I’ll accompany Mr. Laolang to the movies, let’s hope there’s nothing on tomorrow night!” A few more giggling emojis followed.

From the giggling emojis that followed Yang Qingyin’s messages, Luo Ziling could feel she was in a good mood.

After chatting for a while, Yang Qingyin said she was sleepy and ready to go to bed.

After wishing each other good night, they stopped texting.

While browsing through other messages, Luo Ziling saw the message from Ouyang Huihui.

The message from Ouyang Huihui had been sent over an hour before.

“Luo Ziling, how about I treat you to a big meal in a couple of days and then go singing?” Surprisingly, the message was followed by several blushing emojis.

It wasn’t the blushing emojis that surprised Luo Ziling, but that there had been no other messages following the one sent over an hour ago.

Usually, if he didn’t promptly reply to Ouyang Huihui’s messages, this woman was bound to send follow-up messages chastising him.

Today was a bit odd.

“Is there some good news?” he replied.

Unexpectedly, Ouyang Huihui’s message came back immediately: “Are you willing or not?”

“Why are you treating me?” Luo Ziling felt it could be a trap, so he was very cautious.

“Is it or not?” he persisted, asking again.

And he quickly added another message, “If it is, I need to prepare a gift for you!”

“Even if it’s not my birthday, you can still give me a gift!”

Seeing this message, Luo Ziling was pretty sure that Ouyang Huihui wanted to celebrate her birthday, so he didn’t refuse and promptly accepted: “Alright then, I accept your invitation and will definitely present a gift. By the way, when is it?”

“This Friday.”

This Friday. Luo Ziling calculated. Today was Tuesday, so the day after tomorrow. He felt sure he’d be free, so he immediately replied: “Okay, I’ll bring the three big clowns of our dorm to support your birthday party.”
