Chapter 62
After Transmigrating Into the Book, Prime Minister Made My Legs Weak
Jiâs mother and Ji Sang had a delightful weekend together. They had booked a high-speed train ticket back to City A at 7 p.m. Jiâs father was particularly reluctant to let Jiâs mother go. For the past two days, Jiâs mother hadnât been home, and they had numerous video calls. She would say âgood morningâ when waking up in the morning, ask about lunch and if she had taken good care of herself, and bid her goodnight with a kiss in the evening. In addition to these routine gestures, even the location of her socks required a video callâ¦
Ah ah ah~
Ji Sang was fed a big wave of dog food and felt that Jiâs mother came just to show off their love.
Her parents were really merciless with their heartwarming actions.
Although Ji Sang and her mother had a happy time together, there were also things that made her unhappy. For example, when she said she wouldnât meet Wen Jian, he actually didnât meet herâ¦
In the middle of it all, he made a phone call saying that he encountered some work issues and couldnât join them for dinner, apologizing for not being able to fulfill Auntieâs kind invitation.
Ji Sang had a sharp tongue but a tender heart. If Wen Jian really couldnât come for dinner, she felt an inexplicable sense of disappointment.
At 6:40 in the evening, Ji Sang accompanied her mother to the high-speed train station, and Wen Jian initiated another video call. In the video, he looked weary, as if he hadnât slept well. There were dark circles under his eyes, and although he was usually a clean-cut person, he had some stubble on his lips. However, he seemed to be in good spirits, chatting happily with Jiâs mother and mentioning that after finishing his busy schedule in the next couple of days, he wanted to take Ji Sang to meet Jiâs father.
Ji Sang listened by the side and felt goosebumps all over.
What was this? She was going to meet her fatherâ¦
But seeing the disheveled appearance of the man on the screen, her heart ached.
After Jiâs mother finished her conversation, she handed the phone back to Ji Sang.
Ji Sang leaned her chin on her hand and asked, âIs the work⦠troublesome?â
Wen Jian paused for a moment. âItâs manageable.â
Ji Sang nodded and responded, âOh.â
âSang Sang~â
âHmm?â
âIfâ¦â
ââ¦â
âItâs nothing. You stay with Auntie. Iâll hang up.â
Ji Sang: ââ¦Oh.â
The video call ended abruptly, and Ji Sang stared at the frozen image of the man for two seconds before putting her phone away. Just then, Jiâs mother reminded her about the ticket check, so Ji Sang hurriedly helped her mother with her luggage and the mother-daughter duo waved goodbye.
Once Jiâs mother left, Ji Sang walked out of the high-speed rail station and checked her phone only to discover two unread messages. It must have been too noisy earlier, and she didnât hear the notification sound.
Ji Sang opened the first message.
It was a notification of a deposit.
Ji Sangâs eyes widened in shock when she saw the amount. He carefully tapped on the zeros three times to make sure she read it correctly.
It wasâ¦
Three million?!
Trembling, Ji Sang closed the message and opened WeChat. It was a message from Wen Jian.
ãBride price.ã
Ji Sang tapped lightly on her phone to reply: ã???ã
A quick response came from the other end, ãIf I didnât finish saying it just nowâ¦ã
ãSang Sang, if I were to become penniless, at least you would have money to spend.ã
Frowning, Ji Sang asked, ãWhat do you mean?ã
After waiting for a while without a reply, Ji Sang pondered for a moment and decided to call him.
Unfortunately, Wen Jian seemed busy and didnât pick up.
Ji Sang put away her phone and took a taxi home. On the way, she made two more attempts to call Wen Jian, but he still didnât answer. When it was almost bedtime, she couldnât let it go and called again.
Unfortunately, the man still didnât answer.
Ji Sang lay in bed, the blanket between her legs as she rubbed her toes against it. She held her phone and sent a WeChat message to Wen Jian.
ãAre you very busy?ã
Just as she sent the message, Wen Qian called her.
Wen Qian was probably drunk, mumbling incoherently on the phone. It took Ji Sang quite a while to figure out where she was.
Ji Sang said through the phone, âIâm coming right over. Wait for me there.â
With that, she got up from the bed, casually picked a dress from the wardrobe, threw on a sweater, and hurriedly went out.
Ji Sang arrived at the bar to find Wen Qian slumped over the table, and surprisingly, sitting across from Wen Qian was Wen Zhiyu.
Their eyes met.
Wen Zhiyu wore an unpleasant expression, furrowing his brows deeply. He said, âShe insisted on drinking with me. I didnât do anything.â
Ji Sang felt a strong disdain for Wen Zhiyuâs desperate attempt to distance himself from the situation. She glanced at him with indifferent eyes, didnât say anything, and bent down to pat Wen Qianâs shoulder, softly calling her, âQian Qian? Qian Qian? Wake up.â
Wen Qian stirred, her movements sluggish, and she slowly raised her gaze, confused for a moment. Her red eyes looked in the direction of the voice and when she saw Ji Sang, she smiled foolishly.
âSang Sang, youâre here.â
Ji Sang reached out and touched her face. âQian Qian, letâs go home.â
She helped Wen Qian up. Wen Qian was completely limp, like she had no bones, and she clung to Ji Sang like an octopus. âSang Sang, let me tell you, Wen Zhiyu⦠that⦠bastard, I⦠Iâve avenged you!â
âLet me tell youâ¦â
âListen to meâ¦â
âI⦠I was pretending to be drunk. Shh⦠I slapped that bastard⦠slapped him twice!â
Ji Sang hadnât noticed before, but Wen Qian was leaning in close, and she finally saw a deep palm print on Wen Qianâs face, with half of her face slightly swollen.
Ji Sangâs heart ached, and she sharply turned her gaze toward Wen Zhiyu, coldly questioning, âWho did this?â
Ji Sang was always gentle and warm. Even when dealing with mischievous students in class, she would never have such a cold demeanor. Suddenly, she looked at Wen Zhiyu with such eyes, and his heart skipped a beat. He instinctively spoke, âIt wasnât me.â
Ji Sangâs eyes quickly shifted to the girl standing behind him.
The girl pursed her lips, stomped her foot, and angrily said, âWhatâs the matter? I did it. What are you going to do? She hit Zhiyu first!â
âSlapââ
Wen Zhiyu suddenly felt a stinging pain on his face.
The girl let out a scream, looking at Ji Sang in disbelief.
Ji Sang didnât even spare a glance at the girl. She stared directly at Wen Zhiyu and said, âWen Zhiyu, this slap is me repaying Wen Qianâs debt.â
Ji Sang used force, and Wen Zhiyu winced in pain.
The girl couldnât stand it and raised her hand to strike, but Ji Sang glared at her and said, âWhatâs the matter? You want to hit your sister-in-law before even entering the family?!â
One sentence directly stunned the girl.
Her hand froze in mid-air, and her gaze swiftly shifted to Wen Zhiyu.
Wen Zhiyu finally stood up from his seat, a disdainful sneer escaping his throat. âJi Sang, who do you think you are? Sister-in-law? Let me tell you! Youâre nothing more than a tool for Wen Jian to get back at me.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âWen Jian and I have no blood relation. My parents brought him out of an orphanage. Heâs just jealous of me, jealous that my parents favor me in everything. Thatâs why he came up with this plan to deceive you, just to provoke me! Do you really think Wen Jian genuinely likes you? How is that possible? Take a good look at yourself in the mirror and see what kind of person you are!â
Ji Sang stood there stunned, her mind still trying to process everything, when he continued, âAll because of you, heâs estranged from the parents who raised him. But from now on, he has nothing to do with our Wen family!â
ââ¦â
Ji Sang first escorted Wen Qian back home.
The intoxicated Wen Qian was quiet, leaning against Ji Sangâs shoulder as she fell asleep.
On the way, Ji Sang couldnât stop thinking about what Wen Zhiyu had said.
He severed ties with the parents who raised him for your sake!
Severed ties?!
How did it come to that?
She suddenly remembered the message Wen Jian had sent her.
ãIf I become a penniless, at least youâll have money to spend.ã
Connecting the dots, a painful realization formed in her throbbing head.
There are many ways to repay a debt, and giving money is the most direct way.
Soâ¦
ãIf I become a pennilessâ¦ã
Could it be that Wen Jian intends to give all the money under his name to his parents, or⦠Wen Zhiyu?@@novelbin@@
The more Ji Sang thought about it, the heavier her heart became. It felt like a small hammer was pounding inside her head, making it hard for her to breathe.
â¦
The car stopped downstairs at Wen Qianâs house. Ji Sang asked the driver to wait for her, then she supported Wen Qian and brought him inside. After settling Wen Qian down, she quickly returned to the car, provided Wen Jianâs company address, and the car sped off.
When Ji Sang arrived, Wen Jian and Lawyer Qin happened to be coming out of the company.
Wen Jian abruptly stopped in his tracks when he saw Ji Sang.
Lawyer Qin glanced at Ji Sang and said, âWell, Mr. Wen, Iâll go back and work on the documents. Shall we meet at the company at 8 a.m. tomorrow?â
Wen Jian nodded in response.
Lawyer Qin tactfully walked away.
Wen Jian walked briskly towards Ji Sang. âWhy did you come here so late?â
Ji Sangâs heart shattered into pieces. She reached out and hugged the tall man in front of her, taking a deep breath. His clean scent filled her nostrils as she said in a muffled voice, âI missed you.â
â¦
In the dark garage.
Wen Jianâs voice was low but it struck Ji Sangâs heart like the melancholic notes of a cello. Her emotions were in turmoil.
He cupped her cheeks, his gaze intense. âIt has nothing to do with you.â
âReally?â
Ji Sang blinked her dark eyes and looked closely at the man.
âI will provide support for myâ¦,â he paused when he said âparentsâ and then continued in a composed tone, âmy parents raised me, so itâs only right that I contribute to their living expenses. Thereâs no need to dwell on it.â
âButâ¦â But the support is too much. Wen Jian is transferring all the properties under his name to his parents tomorrow morning.
The result of the exchange is that Wen Jianâs name will be removed from the Wen familyâs household registration.
In the future, it will reflect poorly on Wen Jian. He is willing to sever ties with his parents for the sake of a woman!
Ah!!!
How can there be parents like this?
Even if theyâre not biological parents, they should still have feelings. Regardless, they raised Wen Jian!
Wen Jian says it has nothing to do with her, but she knows that she can be seen as the catalyst. Nothing really happened between her and Wen Zhiyu. They merely had the title of boyfriend and girlfriend. But Wen Zhiyu went home and complained, threatening Wen Jian with their parentsâ support. Wen Jianâs biological parents sided with their son, and Wen Jianâ¦
What a fool!
This fool immediately agreed to his parentsâ proposal.
Ji Sang didnât know what to say. She stared deeply at Wen Jian, then suddenly moved. Her slender legs crossed over the center console as she sat in Wen Jianâs lap. She held his face in her hands, their sticky gazes locked together. Her face pressed against his, and her red lips met his, imitating the way he had kissed her. Her soft tongue lingered between his lips and teethâ¦
Wen Jianâs breath became heavier. He couldnât resist her soft teasing. Her perky breasts rubbed against his chest through their clothes. He leaned back, his voice hoarse with desire, âSang Sang, do you know what youâre doingâ¦?â
Ji Sang looked at him through her watery eyes, half-closed like a lazy cat. âMm, I know.â
Wen Jianâs large hand tightly gripped her slender swan-like neck, holding the back of her head and pressing his lips against hers. He immediately took control, his lips and tongue intimately entwined with hers. His strong tongue explored her mouth aggressively, teasing and sucking on her delicate lilac tongue.
The sound of their passionate kissing filled the entire car.
His lower body throbbed with desire, pressing against the junction of Ji Sangâs legs. He provocatively rubbed against her, back and forth, grinding against her thighs.
Ji Sang was wearing a dress with only a pair of underwear underneath. She immediately felt the scorching heat, and a whimper escaped her throat, sounding almost like a sob.
âMmm⦠Mm, ah⦠Ahâ¦â
