Chapter 66 part 2
Lin Suiyan said that from the beginning of his transmigration heâd had some doubts. Although Su Yuli had tried very hard to play the role of Wen Jin, his temperament was still slightly different from the Wen Jin character in the book. What really made him confirm this guess was after the matter of Mu Lang was settled.
On that day, Su Yuli held a celebration banquet with Lin Suiyan. When he woke up the next day, the person beside him was still the same as before, and there was no difference in his speech or behavior, but Lin Suiyan was keenly aware of the difference â his eyes.
Wen Jinâs temperament was gentle, and so are his eyes, gentle and quiet. But Su Yuli was different. He also looks very gentle, but his eyes were free and full of energy. When people see it, they canât help but want to laugh like him.
The speculation that had been pressed down into the bottom of his heart had turned out to be true. Lin Suiyan watched carefully, and the more he looked, the more wrong he felt. The person in front of him was not his lover.
Lin Suiyanâs reaction and thinking were undoubtedly fast. He began to think about the reasons for this, and soon a guess came to mind.
If, he was not Lin Suiyan. Was Wen Jin really Wen Jin? Did his lover, like him, not belong to this world?
This discovery made Lin Suiyan both happy and sad. The happy thing was that two people who didnât know each other met, fell in love, and lived together in another world. What kind of fate was this? The sad thing was, after leaving this world, could they still find each other?
At first, Lin Suiyan, like Su Yuli, thought that the original owner had returned. But soon he found that Wen Jinâs character was different from that of the original owner.
No matter how well he cooperates, Wen Jin will lose his temper. The anger is unreasonable, as if he was deliberately finding fault and provoking him.
During this period, Su Yuli also came back. Lin Suiyan could accurately distinguish between Wen Jin and Su Yuli through his eyes. He tried to tell Su Yuli about the transmigration but found that he was forcibly sent back to his own world.
Lin Suiyan knew that this was not a simple transmigration. There was a force in control here, monitoring their every move.
It was not in Lin Suiyanâs character to sit still and wait for death, so he started to fight back.
Lin Suiyan said: âEverything went well, but your divorce letter caught me off guard.â
Su Yuli felt extremely guilty: âIâm sorry.â He lowered his head like a child who did something wrong.
Lin Suiyan laughed: âItâs all right, itâs all over.â
The problem was solved satisfactorily, and the next step was to introduce himself. Su Yuli carefully wrote his name on a piece of paper, stroke by stroke, and showed it to Lin Suiyan. âSu Yuli, this is my name. Iâm twenty years old, a native of Jincheng. Iâm currently studying at a university in Rongcheng, and Iâm a well-known school grass. You can find me by asking anywhere. â
Lin Suiyan was amused by Su Yuliâs appearance: âOh, school grass, then I really made a profit.â
He took the pen from Su Yuliâs hand. As soon as he wrote the word âLuâ, Su Yuli rushed over and snatched the pen.
Lin Suiyanâs hands were empty, and he looked up at Su Yuli. Su Yuli stuffed the pen under his pillow and coughed lightly: âHow about this? Donât tell me anything about you. When we return from this world, one month⦠No, half a month. No, no, no. One week. Iâll find you.â
Lin Suiyan was stunned at first. Then he smiled and asked, âAre you serious?â China was so big, that looking for someone when you donât know their name or origin was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Because of that divorce letter, Su Yuli felt deeply that he had lost face in front of his lover, and he had to get this face back. He wanted to take this opportunity to prove to Lin Suiyan that he was very clever.
Su Yuli nodded seriously: âYes, seriously.â After a while, he whispered uneasily: âIf I havenât found you in a week, you have to come to me.â
Lin Suiyan chuckled lightly: âOkay, okay.â
Since his lover wanted to play such a game, he was naturally happy to accompany him.
Because of this agreement, when Su Yuli woke up one day and found himself back in his original world, he didnât panic at all. Instead, he was full of energy.
Back when Su Yuli was still in the world of âSubstituteâ, he planned in his mind how to find Lin Suiyan when he came back. Fortunately, heâd thought of a plan.
Su Yuliâs method was â a portrait.
Su Yuli had discovered at the start of his transmigration that in the world of âSubstituteâ, Wen Jinâs face was exactly the same as his. Lin Suiyan was a transmigrator like him, so the situation should be the same.
After Su Yuli hurriedly washed up, he called his best friend Zhou Yan: âI remember that you learned to draw. I need your help with something, please come quickly.â
Poor Zhou Yan was in love. Every day they were joined at the hip. He hadnât gone to bed until past midnight the night before. Now, that Su Yuli had called him so early in the morning the next day he felt a bit murderous in his heart.
Zhou Yan was studying at a university in a neighboring province. Fortunately, transportation was quite convenient now, and within a few hours, the two met.
âWhatâs the matter? You called me in such a hurry.â Zhou Yan yawned and looked like he hadnât woken up yet.
Su Yuli held Zhou Yanâs hand tightly: âBrother, the happiness of your brotherâs life depends on you.â
Zhou Yan was delighted and suddenly didnât feel sleepy at all. He was happier than when he was in love: âIs there a situation?â
Su Yuli nodded. Naturally, he couldnât say anything about the transmigration. Zhou Yan might think he was a lunatic and send him to a mental hospital, so he said, âI met a man when I was wandering around the old street some time ago. I fell in love with him at first sight but I didnât look for him for several days. Now I want to send out a search notice.â
âGot it.â This matter concerned the lifelong happiness of his friend. Zhou Yan patted his chest: âRest assured, you can leave it to brother.â
Su Yuli was overjoyed. His childhood friend usually looked so unreliable. He didnât expect him to be so dependable at such a critical moment. They went straight to a shop and to buy all the necessary tools for painting.
Su Yuli found a quiet shop and when he entered the private room, Zhou Yan opened up and said, âCome on.â
Su Yuli was full of passion. After seeing Zhou Yanâs masterpiece he almost couldnât breath. He grabbed Zhou Yanâs neck and shook it vigorously.
âWhat the hell are you drawing?â
Zhou Yan was grabbed by Su Yuli and shaken from side to side without resisting. He smiled and said, âI didnât draw it as you said. Itâs not very good. How handsome is it?â
Su Yuli said, âYour boyfriend looks like this, right?â
Zhou Yan was furious.
Su Yuli retreated into the sofa and finally understood the gap between reality and ideal.
Seeing Su Yuliâs disappointed look, Zhou Yan walked over and touched his shoulder. âAre you angry? The last time I drew was when I was in junior high school. Itâs been so many years since I did it. Itâs normal for me to be rusty. How about this? I have a friend in the art academy. How about I ask him for help?â
Su Yuli glanced at Zhou Yan, and Zhou Yan smiled and hugged him: âItâs all right. With me here, the person you like will definitely not be able to run away.â
Su Yuli thought itâs not a question of whether he can run or not, itâs a matter of face.
Thinking of this, Su Yuli smiled instead. He knew that Lin Suiyan didnât take that incident to heart. If he couldnât find him after seven days then Lin Suiyan wouldnât laugh at him.
This was just a little fun between husbands. He really doesnât  have to be under so much pressure. He still has six days.
Su Yuli adjusted his mood, invited Zhou Yan to dinner, and took him around the school. The next day he sent Zhou Yan to the airport. It happened to be the weekend, and he was in no hurry to go back to school. Instead, he walked around the city.
He unintentionally passed by a bookstore and found that the store was crowded with people and very lively. He walked over and asked what was going on. It turned out that there was an author holding a book signing meeting here.
Su Yuli looked at the sign hanging at the door of the bookstore and saw that it was the author of âSubstituteâ. The authorâs real name was Lu Yumo. His favorite authorâs surname was Lu. Su Yuli realized that she had the same surname as his lover.
Strictly speaking, Lu Yumo was his matchmaker, and he liked her book very much. Since he met her today, it was fate. Su Yuli went in and bought two of Lu Yumoâs books.
The scene was so popular, that Su Yuli waited in line for two hours before it was his turn.
Lu Yumo liked to spill dog blood when writing books, it was very sadistic and sour. However, she was unexpectedly beautiful. She was wearing a long white dress with light makeup. She had a pair of black framed glasses on the bridge of her nose. When she laughed, there were two pear shaped dimples on her cheeks and her smile was very sweet.
âHello.â Su Yuli said: âMadam, I like your book very much.â
Lu Yumo smiled sweetly: âThank you.â
âI should be the one thanking you,â said Su Yuli. âThank you for writing âSubstituteâ and letting me meet the love of my life.â
Lu Yumo looked at Su Yuli in surprise. She couldnât understand what Su Yuli was saying and could only smile back.
Lu Yumo took the book from Su Yuli and opened the page. She was about to write when she saw something. Suddenly, she waved at something behind him. She smiled brightly and said, âBrother, youâre here. This way.â
Su Yuli turned his head and looked. The moment he saw the visitor, he couldnât look away anymore.
The man has a pair of eyes as deep as the sea, and under the bridge of his handsome nose were a pair of beautifully shaped lips. Su Yuli would never be mistaken, that was his lover.
â¦
In the hotel box.
The man held out his hand to Su Yuli: âLu Yubai.â
Su Yuli endured and endured, but he finally couldnât hold back anymore. So, he jumped up and hugged him tightly. He wanted to do this as soon as heâd first seen Lu Yubai in the bookstore.
âThe next day.â Su Yuli announced happily into Lu Yubaiâs ear: âI found you only the next day. Arenât I amazing?â
Lu Yubai hugged Su Yuli. The smile on his face was very gentle, and he spoke softly, âYes, you found me, youâre amazing.â
Lu Yumo came in from the outside wiping her hands. Â Seeing Su Yuli and Lu Yubai sitting side by side, she asked curiously, âBrother, who is this?â
Lu Yubai said, âLet me introduce you to Su Yuli, my boyfriend. You can call him brother.â
Su Yuli was a little surprised. He didnât expect Lu Yubai to say their relationship so directly, but when he thought about it, he was Lu Yubai, and Lu Yubai would never let him down.
Moreover, this âboyfriendâ was really too sweet. Su Yuliâs lips couldnât help but curl up.
Lu Yumo took a few steps back in shock, as if this was the first time she met this brother: âYou actually fell in love behind my back. Come on, tell me honestly. When did you meet him?â
Since she was both his sister and author of the book âSubstituteâ, neither Lu Yubai nor Su Yuli had any intention of hiding it from her.
After hearing Lu Yubaiâs words, Lu Yumoâs big eyes sparkled. She drawled, âI see. I was wondering, why you suddenly sent me a big red packet yesterday. It turns out thatâ¦â
Lu Yubai snorted and calmly said, âA thank you gift.â
Lu Yumo was very happy that her elder brother had gotten rid of his single status. She looked at Su Yuli and Lu Yubai, who were sitting together, and wisely left the room. She even closed the door behind her.
When Su Yuli and Lu Yubai transmigrated, they used their own faces. So they didnât feel strange at all when they got along.
Su Yuli leaned on Lu Yubaiâs shoulder and sighed with emotion: âYour sister really deserves to be a writer. She is so calm.â
If an ordinary person heard their stories, who knows how they would have reacted.
Lu Yubai said with a smile: âYes, she is always imaginative. She has all kinds of ideas in her mind, so she went to write novels. Speaking of which, if it wasnât for her strongly demanding me to, I wouldnât have read the book âSubstituteâ.
Su Yuli sat up straight and said solemnly, âNo, I have to give her a big red envelope too.â
If it wasnât for Lu Yumo, Lu Yubai wouldnât have read the novel âSubstituteâ, nor would he have transmigrated into the book. Then they wouldnât have met.
Su Yuli immediately got up and wanted to go to Lu Yumo. Lu Yubai pulled him back and said, âThereâs no hurry. Itâs been so long since weâve seen each other. Are you satisfied with just hugging your boyfriend?â
Su Yuliâs departing movement was paused. He looked at Lu Yubai with a smile in his eyes, but he complained, âYouâre clearly my husband. Why did you suddenly downgrade to become my boyfriend?â
Lu Yubai followed suit and said, âOh, that husband is satisfied with just hugging me. Donât you want to do anything else?â
It wasnât that Su Yuli hadnât shouted the word âHusbandâ before, but he didnât expect that when Lin Suiyan uttered that word, it would be so destructive. His cheeks immediately flushed red, and he glanced towards the door like a thief. He heard Lu Yubaiâs undisguised low laughter.
Su Yuli became angry out of embarrassment and rushed over to press on Lu Yubaiâs body. âYouâre not allowed to laugh,â he said fiercely.
Lu Yubai held Su Yu Liâs waist with one hand to prevent him from falling and said, âOkay, I wonât laugh.â
Su Yuli was indignant in his heart. He lowered his head and kissed those smiling lips fiercely. But soon, the kiss became tender. Su Yuli kissed his lover reverently.
Thank you for meeting me among thousands of people.
For giving me infinite joy and beauty.
I love you.
The author has something to say: Itâs over!
T/L: And thatâs all! Thank you to everyone who came along with me on this novel.
Notes: In case there was any confusion- the ârealâ Wen Jin and Lin Suiyan were never part of this story. When both Su Yuli and Lu Yubai were being forcefully transmigrated back and forth their bodies were being controlled by some kind of system type thing trying to drive the plot forward. As for what happens to them/the bodies now⦠¯\_(ã)_/¯ Only the author knows I guess.
