Dressed as a Stand-in for the White Moonlight
On the other side of the banquet hall.
The guests dispersed one after another, leaving only Luo Xing and his assistant in the huge space.
Luo Xing sat on the chair casually, tugged at his tie, and said to his assistant, âYou can go back too.â
Luo Xing drank a lot of wine tonight, and the assistant was a little worried: âMr. Luo, Iâll take you back. â
âNo need.â
The assistant wanted to say something else when Luo Xing lifted his eyes and glanced at him. Those eyes were cold, with a hint of impatience, as if Luo Xing would get up and beat him if he said one more word.
The assistant swallowed, he could feel that Luo Xing was in a bad mood today, and he didnât dare to provoke him. So he left in a hurry after saying good bye.
The assistant walked to the door and couldnât help but look back. He saw Luo Xing sitting on the back of the chair. He didnât know what he was thinking about but his face was full of gloom.
Seeing that Luo Xing had moved, the assistant didnât dare to look any more, and hurriedly opened the door and left.
Luo Xing sat in the chair for a while, surrounded by silence. He took out his mobile phone from his pocket and dialed a number.
âWhere are you?â Luo Xing suppressed his anger and gritted his teeth: âMu. Lang.â
The response from the other side couldnât be heard. Luo Xing said angrily: âDidnât you say that you could stall Wen Jin? What are you doing? Do you know that I ⦠â
Mu Lang sat in the car, with a cigarette in one hand and a mobile phone in the other, not thinking about anything and not speaking.
After Luo Xing finished speaking, he didnât get a response, and became even more annoyed: âAre you listening to me?â
âI have something to do temporarily.â Mu Lang frowned a little irritably, âIâll talk about it when I have time.â
Luo Xingâs angry voice came from the other side: âYou! Mu Lang, are you playing with meâ¦..?â
Before Luo Xing could finish speaking, Mu Lang hung up the phone.
The driver glanced at the boss in the rearview mirror, and saw Mu Lang frowning and sliding his finger across his phone, as if he wanted to contact someone, but was hesitating.
After a long while, the driver asked, âMr. Mu, are you going back?â
âNo.â Mu Lang used his thumb and forefinger to extinguish the cigarette, as if he didnât feel the heat, âGoâ¦â
He suddenly realized that he didnât know which hospital Ding Yuan was in.
Mu Lang clicked his tongue and changed his words: âGo back home first.â
City hospital, in the ward.
Su Yuli scolded: âWhy donât you take care of your body? What if you passed out and we werenât there?â
Ding Yuan was lying on the hospital bed with a drip on his hand. He looked at Su Yuli apologetically: âIâm sorry for making you worry.â
âItâs good that you know that.â Su Yuli sternly said, âDonât do this again. The body is the capital of the revolution.â
After the admonishment, he whispered, âIt really scared me to death.â
There were porridge and side dishes just bought by the bed, Su Yuli looked through it, âAre you hungry? Would you like something to eat?â
Ding Yuan shook his head. He didnât have any appetite now. âLeave it there and Iâll eat it when Iâm hungry.â
Su Yuli said, âOkay, remember to ask the nurse to warm it up when you eat.â
Ding Yuan hummed.
Then the room was quiet.
Su Yuli lowered his head and played with his phone for a while, but couldnât help but say, âXiao Yuan, Mu Lang and I were actuallyâ¦â
Hearing Mu Langâs name, the smile on Ding Yuanâs face faded, and he said: âIt was he who pestered you. I know.â
Su Yuli said: âThatâ¦â
Ding Yuan said: â His business has nothing to do with me. If he pesters you again, you can punch him again like you just did.â
Looking at Ding Yuanâs attitude, it seems that he really doesnât care.
Su Yuli held back his curiosity, âSo you and Mu Langâ¦. what exactly is going on?â
Ding Yuan didnât hide it, and said softly, âMu Lang and I weâ¦.dated.â
Yang Shuo opened the door and came in, just in time to hear this sentence. He paused for a moment, and then said to Su Yuli: âDonât talk too long. He needs to rest.â
Su Yuli sighed and got up quickly: âThen Xiao Yuan, you have a good rest. Iâll come to see you tomorrow.â
âOkay.â
Su Yuli walked to the door and heard Ding Yuan call him: âDonât tell grandma about my illness.â
Su Yuli assured: âDonât worry.â
