Hidden Obsession
Leo's heart pounded as he stared at Adrian, the intense emotions swirling within him pushing him to do something he had never done before. With his pulse quickening, he leaned forward, his lips hovering over Adrianâs for the briefest of moments. Then, before he could second-guess himself, Leo pressed his lips against Adrianâs in a kiss that was tender, filled with genuine love and raw emotion.
It wasnât a kiss born from passion or desperation, but from the deep feelings that had been growing between them, feelings that Leo could no longer ignore or deny. He could feel the warmth of Adrianâs lips against his, the softness of the moment contrasting sharply with the pain and chaos they had just been through.
Adrian seemed momentarily surprised, his body tensing for just a second before he melted into the kiss, his hand instinctively reaching up to cradle the back of Leoâs head. The kiss was slow, unhurried, a gentle exchange that conveyed everything they couldnât put into words.
When Leo finally pulled back, his face flushed slightly, he dared to meet Adrianâs gaze. There was a softness in Adrianâs eyes that made Leoâs breath catch, a look of affection and understanding that made his heart swell. It was a look that told Leo he wasnât alone, that he had someone who cared deeply for him.
âAdrianâ¦â Leoâs voice was soft, almost shy as he spoke. âYou should rest a bit. Youâve been through so much⦠we both have.â He paused, taking a breath before continuing. âIâll rest too. We need to take care of ourselves, and I⦠I want to make sure youâre okay.â
Adrianâs hand moved to cup Leoâs cheek, his thumb brushing gently over the flushed skin. âIâm more than okay, Leo,â he murmured, his voice low and reassuring. âBut youâre right. We both need to rest. Weâve been through hell, and we need to take a moment to just⦠breathe.â
Leo nodded, relief flooding through him at Adrianâs agreement. He felt like he could finally let his guard down, even if only for a little while. He scooted back slightly on the hospital bed, making room for Adrian to sit beside him. Adrian hesitated for a moment, then climbed onto the bed, careful not to jostle Leoâs injuries.
They settled beside each other, Adrianâs arm wrapping protectively around Leoâs shoulders. The warmth of Adrianâs body against his own was comforting, and Leo allowed himself to relax, leaning into the embrace. The steady rise and fall of Adrianâs chest beneath his head was soothing, a reminder that they had both survived, that they were still here together.
Leo closed his eyes, his body finally beginning to unwind after everything that had happened. For the first time in what felt like forever, he felt safe. He could feel the exhaustion tugging at the edges of his consciousness, and he allowed himself to drift, the steady rhythm of Adrianâs heartbeat lulling him into a peaceful sleep.
