Magic Lesson's and Shopping

Selena’s POV

I just got finished with my work out session and I was headed to Giselle’s room so she can teach the first lesson. I’m excited but somewhat nervous. I walked over into her room.

“Finally you came I was waiting for you for ages, we have a busy day so today’s lesson will be short” It was only 10 in the morning and she just woke up 30 minutes ago, her definition of ‘ages’ is just beyond me.

“What do you mean we have a busy day?”

“We have to do some stuff today you’ll see” She smirked at me and then walked towards her wardrobe. When she turned around she had a black stick in her hand.

“Um...why do you have a black stick in your hand”

“You dummy it’s my wand, look” She waved it in the air and a trail of gold glitter/dust showed up, it was like tinkerbell threw up.

“Woah, that is so cool” I was so amazed at the sight before me.

“Today’s first lesson is levitating. This spell requires a lot of concentration, the second you lose concentration whatever you were levitating will drop and you’ll lose your control over it. Now watch me do it and then you can try” I nodded at her taking all the information in.

Giselle took a deep breathe in and lifted up her wand. Now that I looked at it carefully, it was like a long black crystal, it was so beautiful and it just reflected how Giselle was. Mysterious yet absolutely amazing and beautiful.

“Levitatium” She pointed her wand at pillow on her bed and slowly the pillow lifted into the air, the higher she raised her wand the higher the pillow went. I stood there absolutely amazed.

“See, with the right amount of concentration you can do it, also make sure you pronounce the words right because with some spells the slightest difference in pronunciation and you’ll be doing a different spell”

“Now take my wand and lets start” She handed me her wand and my hands were shaky while taking them, my heart was racing a million miles an hour, as I held her wand I felt a surge of energy in it and I had to grip it harder.

“Woah”

“That usually happens when you hold a wand which is full of power, I mean all wands are full of power but some are special. I have one because I am a protector of the kingdom, which is a high position and my bloodline is strong, which results in the power my wand holds”

“Okay, now raise the wand and point it at....” she looked in her room for something, she found a photograph of her and the boys at the beach.

“This is weightless so lets start with this...now concentrate and say ‘levitatium’ and concentrate and then try lifting the wand” I nodded and looked at the photo. I tried to but the picture distracted me, it had a very shirtless Adam on it with a breathtaking smile.

“Levitatium” I lifted the wand but nothing happened. I tried again, but I kept looking at Adam in the picture, can’t blame me I’ve never seen him smile like that.

“Hahahhaha” Giselle went into a laughing fit beside me.

“Hey, what’s so funny” I felt bad because I couldn’t do the spell and her laughing made it no better.

“Is your shirtless lover boy making it hard to concentrate” She smirked at me and went to turn the photo on the other side.

“He isn’t my lover boy, I couldn’t concentrate because of all your ugly faces” I stuck my tongue.

“You wish this was ugly” She pointed at her face and then signalled for me to try again.

This time I concentrated hard and I imagined in my head that I was levitating the photo. I lifted the wand and said ‘Levitatium’. I felt a weird push in the wand and I took that as a signal and lifted the wand higher. The photo lifted into the air. I literally wanted to scream at my achievement but I held it higher and still in the air and the photo was levitating. Giselle clapped her hands beside me.

“Well done that was amazing Lena, lets try with something else”

We carried on practising with objects like pillows, clothes and her suitcase.

“I’m so proud of Lena and that concludes our lesson for today” Giselle hugged me and I felt pretty proud of myself.

I walked into my room to see Jade and Chloe sitting on my bed with clothes surrounding them.

“What the hell exploded on my bed” I went towards to the bed to see that these clothes didn’t even belong to me.

“Well I’m glad you asked” Chloe had a freaky smile on her face and was bouncing on my bed, along with Jade who had a huge grin on her face.

“Today is the first day of putting our plan into action, we are going out to buy new outfits for you and we are gonna get your hair all did” Wow talk about just throwing you in the deep end of things.

“I thought we were going to this later”

Giselle spoke from behind me. “Nope we’re doing this now so when we go home your going to be your new self, the whole point of this is a new year means a new you.”

“Well what the heck are we waiting for lets get this started” Jade came towards me with an outfit which was pretty ugly.

“Um...Jade no offence but I thought that the whole change thing would include cute new outfits not something which is ten times my size”

Jade did a stupid fake laugh and put her hand in my shoulder. “Oh you silly child, this is so when we get your hair all did we can cover it so when it comes to the new years party you will shock everyone” Oh great we’re pulling a surprise thing.

I’m not going to lie and say that I hate this outfit, the huge hoodie and baggy jeans made me feel so comfortable.

We all got into the car and drove the mall. When we got out I felt self conscious because I looked like a tramp whereas my three friends looked like supermodels and it didn’t help that I was short. We entered the mall and it being huge would be an understatement. Well here goes nothing.

My feet are killing me at this point. We’ve been to lord knows how many stores and I have more than 10 bags filled with clothes and shoes. If you think we are done, well you thought wrong, we just finalised ‘the outfits’ for the first week back. Honestly I’m so excited to wear them, as I tried them all on they made me feel so different and beautiful.

Right now we are looking for a dress for the party. I hated all the outfits. I was sitting on a huge seat when Chloe shoved an outfit in my face. “This might be the outfit for the party” She dragged me into the changing room and left me to get changed. When I first looked at the dress I was like oh hell no. But then I tried it on, I need to be more open minded. I didn’t look at the mirror and I walked out.

“Oh my days, I knew it, that outfit looks awesome on you” The girls loved this outfit on me so I knew I had to buy it. I took it off and changed back into my comfy clothes.

“Now we just need to buy one more important thing before we go for your hair appointment” What the hell was left.

“Giselle what the hell are we buying now”

“Dresses for the winter ball, duh” Oh my days that literally went out of my mind, I forgot about it.

“Can’t you just wave your wand and do the whole Cinderella’s fairy godmother thing and make this trip shorter.”

“No, she can’t how would that be fun, now lets go” Jade and Chloe grabbed my hand and ran out of the store. We entered a store which full of dresses, it was as if the rainbow threw up in here.

I tried on a dress which was puffy and pink and I hated it, I looked like an absolute joke. I then tried on a maroon dress, which was horrendous it made me look like a prostitute.

“Seriously Lena, make up your mind on a dress” The girls were getting impatient and so was I.

“You know what guys, you look for your dresses and I’ll go look for something”

I walked over to a section which was filled with dresses which were all light colours. But one dress caught my eye, it was a baby blue colour, it had a slightly puffy skirt which was simple but wow at the same time, the top half of the dress was covered with beautiful rhinestones and the rest of the dress had a subtle touch of rhinestones, enough that under the light they shone. The dress was absolutely breathtaking.

“I see that you like this dress, would you like to try it on” I turned to see a lady dressed in a smart black dress standing next to me.

“Yes please” The lady handed the dress to me and lead me into a changing room. I took my clothes off and put the dress on and the feeling I had as I put on the dress it made me feel like a princess. I walked to see the girls with their dresses in their hands standing in awe in front of me.

“Lena, baby you look absolutely beautiful” Jade gushed as she hugged me.

“I think this dress is perfect for you, would you like me to take your measurement so we can have the dress made for you” I followed the lady and she took my measurements. I went and took off the dress and handed it back to the lady.

“Thank you so much” We walked out of the shop and headed to get my hair done honestly I was nervous but hey YOLO. I’m just kidding, I’m lame , I know.

We were welcomed by a man who seemed quite scary, he told me to go and sit on a seat and then he took my hair out of a messy bun, he made a face while doing so. Rude much.

“Hi, so we want to change her whole look, she needs to look much better and lively, transform her so that she looks amazing in time for our winter ball” Jade spoke to the guy and started to explain everything to him.

“Well, this is going to be a challenge, but there is nothing that Aurelio cannot do, I’m going to transform this girl’s hair and make her look like a new person, now lets get started” He clapped his hands and shooed the girls away, who went and started to get their hair done too. I closed my eyes and let him do his thing.

The whole process took a whole tugging, which was painful, I had my pulled in all directions, but then finally I could feel him cutting my hair and styling it. My neck was aching from sitting there for hours. I felt Aurelio pull me out of my seat.

“Don’t open your eyes” He lead me somewhere and then told me to open my eyes.

When I saw myself I couldn’t help but gasp, this girl in front of me looked so beautiful, my hair was much lighter at the ends and it looked so lively and amazing. I ran my hands through it and they felt amazing. I turned around and hugged Aurelio who was shocked but then he hugged me back.

The girls screamed when they saw my hair, and I was so glad they turned out amazing.

“Thank you Aurelio, honestly this means a lot to me, thank you so much”

“Anytime, you look beautiful darling, keep smiling like this, that scowl you had on your face when you came in made you look ugly” He laughed at me and then handed me a card.

“Ring me a few days before your winter ball and I’ll come in time and make you look like a Princess”

“Thank you so much” I left with a huge smile on my face.

The whole ride home we all fangirled over my new hair and right now I was so excited for the new Selena to come into action. I’m so ready for this year.
