Chapter 214: After Story 6
Becoming The Villain’s Family
After Story 6
âGrand Prince⦠ack!â
Dwayne screamed out of nowhere.
He almost stepped on a bottle of alcohol rolling right in front of the door and trip.
This isnât some kind of minefield.
âGet some ventilation!â
The smell of alcohol, tobacco, and blood.
Dwayne sighed and opened the window and pulled back the curtains.
Tristan, languidly immersed in the darkness, frowned as the sunlight entered the room.
âItâs bright.â
He muttered in a very low voice.
Dwayne, who inadvertently turned his head and tried to unleash his nagging, shuddered.
Because there was inhuman ferocity embedded in Tristanâs thick, dark eyes. It was an animal-like look. Even though his body was stretched helplessly.
âHave you been doing this all night?â
âI think I may have left in the middle.â
âWhy do you sound like youâre guessing?â
âThere is a sword scar on the stomach.â
âWhat?!â
Dwayne sighed and lowered his gaze hurriedly.
As Tristan said, Tristanâs shirt was torn in half and there was dark red dried blood.
âHow did this happenâ¦! Did you go to the arena again? What about the treatment!â
âItâs okay. The wound has healed.â
He urgently checked the wound, but it was almost healed, leaving only a red mark like a sword cut on the strong abdominal muscles.
Dwayne knew that sooner or later even traces of it would be gone.
Thatâs how long he has been watching Tristan.
âYou have not been like that for a while, and then againâ¦â
He murmured in a muffled voice.
It was a monster-like resilience everytime.
â⦠Grand Prince, have you forgotten something?â
âThey ran out of liquor. Fill it up.â
âWhat? It hasnât been long since the butler filled the wine cellar? Itâs already⦠no, not that!â
Donât tell me you have forgotten what day it is today? Dwayne asked in an anxious voice.
âToday?â
Tristan lit a new tobacco and let out a slow puff of smoke from his lips.
âIs it my birthday?â
âThere is half a year left.â
âSorry. I was confident.â
Dwayne swallowed his annoyance at Tristanâs silly joke.
âIâm sorry, but do you know todayâs date?â
âItâs hot so itâs summer?â
âItâs hot because youâve been drinking so much that your body heats up.â
What kind of conversation is this? Dwayne let out a deep sigh and murmured.
âIt seems like I was expecting too much from the Grand Prince.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âYouâve been acting up a lot lately. You seem to need attention, should I please you?â
He snapped his fingers, eyes half-opened by his drunkenness.
He was acting helplessly and talking nonsense, but everyone knew that if Dwayne was caught in his grip, it wouldnât take even a second for him to die.
Dwayne quickly stepped back and quickly got his point across.
âToday we will send a carriage to Valoisâ family.â
âWhy?â
âWhy?! Thatâs because the person who will become the Grand Duchess will ride it!â
âSince when did my bride live there?â
Of course because she was born there! Dwayne slapped his forehead.
He was stupid for expecting that he would be able to communicate with a drunkard in the first place.
He cried and spoke in a desperate voice.
âBefore the carriage arrives at the Grand Dukeâs castle, please sober up, wash up, and dress neatly. I beg you.â
âHmm, a brideâ¦â
Tristan turned his glass around and thought.
He desperately yearned for death. But his boring life pulled him like a swamp and never let go.
âDid I finally have a woman to share my death with?â
The tobaccos he smokes nonstop are made from a combination of poisonous weeds that are likely to make people cross the underworld as soon as they inhale it.
Although the poison volatilized in an instant as it entered and exited his body.
He was fine even after drinking alcohol that was so strong that a normal personâs body would have been ruined long ago.
He survived even when he was mortally wounded.
No matter what he did, he didnât die. His actions close to self-torture made him feel alive.
âIf you want to die, do your duty.â
Like saying so.
âSheâ¦â¦.â
He didnât know who the Valois woman was. He doesnât even think he wants to know much.
However, if there is one thing he wishes for, it is that she has no regrets in her life that she could accept death with dignityâ¦â¦.
âI want you to mess with me.â
Rough enough to inflict wounds that will never heal.
To carve death deep into his bones so that he can fall into hell.
A heartfelt smile finally formed on Tristanâs lips.
âSabina.â
Gary was waiting for her in front of the mansion. But she passed by, ignoring his very existence.
Gary paused for a moment before letting out a smirk.
And he said soothingly.
âSister, you wonât even say goodbye for the last time.â
He stopped Sabina as she went straight to the carriage without looking back.
Like watching her being dragged to the slaughterhouse before she died.
Sabina stopped her steps. She was wondering what nonsense he was talking about.
âI guess you have nothing to do.â
âYou are my one and only sister, and you are going away a long way. I will not be able to attend the wedding, so I should see you off like this.â
Gary smiled. The mouth curled an arc seemed to enjoy himself.
âI believe you will do well.â
ââ¦â
âYou are the pride of the family. You will surely shine as the Grand Duchess of the Valentine family and raise your children wonderfully.â
At first glance, it was a virtue that one would say as an older brother.
However, since Sabina was becoming the wife of Valentine, it was nothing but ridicule and insult.
âIâll miss you a lot. If you miss your hometown, come over anytime.â
Gary patted Sabina on the shoulder.
Her gaze rested on the carriage that stopped completely in front of the mansion, and then swung around.
Towards Gary.
âAre you saying Iâm going to be the Grand Duchess of Valentine, so Iâm the pride of the family?â
âOf course. Many young ladies besides you were nominated, but in the end, it was you.â
Sabina accurately grasped the meaning of Garyâs words.
That means âyou have the highest value only when you enter the marriage market, so know your place and stop being satisfiedâ.
Donât even dream of the sword.
âNow that youâre going to become the Grand Duchess, you should grow up too. My father said he regretted not hiring a private tutor for bridal lessons.â
ââ¦â
âWell, itâs useless to regret it now. By all means, you should keep quiet in the Grand Duchy.â
He smiled mischievously, like he was worried about his younger sister. After Sabina silently listened to Garyâs words, she slowly pursed her lips.
âIf I am the pride of my family, then Brother will be the shame of the family.â
ââ¦â¦what?â
âBrother acknowledges that I am worthy enough to be chosen among the candidates for the Grand Duchess, and besides that, I have many other talents that cannot be counted.â
There is swordsmanship. Sabina smiled as she added.
While copying Garyâs hideous smile full of pretense.
âBrother would not have even set foot in the imperial palace without me, and there is no expression that refers to you more accurately than the word âshame.ââ
Gary looked like he doubted his ears as Sabina spoke in a soft voice.
And soon, his whole body turned red.
It was because the price he received for selling Sabina was enormous wealth and Gary âjoining the Imperial Knightsâ.
âYou know what?â
âYou, youâ¦â¦.â
âLow self-esteem and low mental quality are evidence of low intelligence where you feel satisfied by pouring your low spirits into the weak.â
She canât be the one to say things as she was about to die anyway. Now that she had gone all the way, she wanted to feel refreshed.
âYour value in the marriage market is low, and you have no exceptional talent in swordsmanshipâ¦â
Sabina seemed bored, her eyes half-closed as he poured out her words.
âIn addition to that, your intelligence is also low. You have the personality to ridicule even your younger sisterâs life⦠so I can truly say that you are a complete shame.â
âAre you really crazy?â
âOh, no. I almost forgot Brotherâs innate talent.â
She covered her mouth and gave an exaggerated look of surprise before she whispered in his ear.
âYou inherited the deepest feelings of envy, inferiority, victim mentality, and entitlement. Father must be very proud of a son who looks just like him.â
âHaâ¦â¦.â
Gary seemed stunned and couldnât say anything.
The look of him trembling with anger was ready to throw his fist at any moment. But he struggled to suppress his emotions, and raised the corners of his trembling lips.
âYou seem very angry, Sabina. Calm down and weâll send you a letter soon, so letâs talk about it then.â
The reason he was able to control his emotions was simple. It was because he still looked at Sabina below him.
If the dog he raised was genuinely angry, shouldnât he deal with it sincerely?
Yes, yes, and move on.
Sabina felt very sorry for him.
âYouâre smiling at a false sense of superiority. Even though the day will come sooner or later youâll realize that youâre an empty shell with nothing.â
She looked at him with an insignificant glance for a moment, then shook her head and headed toward the carriage.
But, then.
âAn empty shell?â
Gary, who was struggling to tolerate Sabinaâs insults, suddenly muttered lowly.
âA bitch whoâs about to die is saying that!â
Then he grabbed her by the collar.
Perhaps Sabina had touched his wrath, he even had murderous energy in his eyes.
She laughed at Gary who grabbed her by the collar, twisting her mouth.
She had given up on being respectable.
âAm I wrong? Or should I say that selling your sister is a talent?â
âDo you think you would have been brought into the family if you hadnât even had a smooth face?
âThen what is the value of your existence? A pest who eats the family?â
Sabina said, her eyes widening and squeezing Garyâs chest with her fingers.
âYou are nothing. Nothing.â
With a smile that made people angry as a bonus.
