Chapter 27.
Destiny. ~ Perri Kiely.
The room falls silent. All eyes switching from me to Jason then back to me.
"How dare you." Jason spits. "I'm nothing like your father."
"My dad would of done exactly what you did then; force me out of here." I state, wiping my cheeks with the back of my hand.
"Now Sophia, your just talking nonsense." He chuckles, stepping closer putting out his hand. "Now c'mon, we are going home."
"I think you should leave." Ashley says standing in front of me.
"Not until Sophia's with me." He says standing his ground.
"Now." Ashley says again, a little more firmly.
Jason drops his arm and storms out of the studio. The room falls silent, all the boys letting out a huge sigh of relief, before turning to face me.
I give a small smile and wipe my eyes and all my running mascara away.
"Thanks." I sigh, looking up at Ashley.
Perri pulls me into a tight hug. I wrap my arms around his neck and breath into the crook of his neck, trying to regain a normal heart rate.
"Now, can you tell us everything." Ashley sighs.
We take a seat on the floor and I let out a huge sigh, pushing all the hair out of my face.
"Where to start?" I say, giving a little chuckle.
My life sounds so messed up, but it wasn't if you lived in it.
"Well, when I was younger my dad, he, he didn't like it if anyone spoke against him. Disagreed with what he was saying. Argued with him." I begin.
"He would hit my mum, push her around, verbally insult her. So me being ten, I would shout at my dad- tell him to stop." I explain before stopping.
"That's when he turned to me. Pushing, shoving, kicking. I can only remember him hitting me once."
The boys are completely silent, hanging off my every word.
"So the police took him away, locked him up." I state giving a smile at the thought of it. "He was gone for good."
"Mum got a new boyfriend, life was great. Then, as you probably remember, I got hit by a car." I continue- raising my eyebrows.
"Perri was in a right state." Jordan adds.
"Yeah, well that was the start of why I'm here." I sigh. "I've never fully recovered mentally from that accident. When I got home people just seemed to be stressed, which stressed me out."
"But I stuck it out and it eventually passed. Then, my dad showed up when I was home alone, demanding to come in- I didn't let him and I told him how I really felt."
"He did it when I was younger, he did it again." I shrug.
I hear the boys tut and shake there head. The looks on their faces is heartbreaking.
"That's why Perri came down, I don't know if he told you why?" I say, looking over at him.
"I didn't, I thought you wouldn't want me to." He adds, with a little smile.
I nod and remember what happened next.
" I heard my mum and Jason talking about moving: and Perri did!" I explain. "I was not happy!"
The boys chuckle, and I also find myself chuckling.
"But I let it slide and went to school on Monday. My tutor- well he's been giving me sarcastic comments ever since I've started at the school, but this time if had enough."
"Started saying that the bruises from my dad were from 'play time' with Perri."
"Oioi!" Jordan adds, making me giggle.
"I can assure you there has be no playtime!" I smile.
"Anyways I flipped, started swearing, and walked out of school. Well let's just say my mum wasn't happy.
Told me I couldn't have singing lessons, couldn't see Perri and I was grounded." I exclaim.
"Uh oh!" Sam adds.
"I know, so I flipped again!" I chuckle.
"I needed to get away and clear my head, everything was stressing me out and I couldn't cope." I say, readjusting my seated position.
"I left a note on my bed and snuck down here in the middle of the night, because obviously they wouldn't let me come, because I'm not allowed to see Perri." I finish raising my eyebrows.
"Jesus Christ!" Ashley exclaims. "I didn't think it was going to be that bad!"
"I know, I know!" I sigh.
He pulls me into a hug and tells me everything is going to be alright.
"I think a nandos is in order!" Jordan claps. "We need to forget everything."
We leave the studio and head over to the nearest nandos. I've been here so many times I know directions.
We get seated at the usually round booth and begin scanning the menu. Sam nudges me in the side.
"What was that for?!" I pout.
"How's Clara?" He whispers.
"She's really good actually, she says things are going well." I whisper back.
"Yeah they are!" He beams.
"Wait, why are we whispering?" I chuckle.
"The boys don't know." He says.
"They don't know!" I say shocked.
He just shakes his head and looks back down at his menu.
"What? Why not?" I frown.
He just shrugs. I decide to leave it and order my food instead.
My phone buzzes on the table, making the glasses vibrate. The boys look over as I frown at the screen.
From Jason ð¨: Sophia, if you don't come home tomorrow there will me major consequences!
From mum ð©: Soph, please. We need to know what's wrong! Come home tomorrow or like jase said, major consequences.x
"Who was it?" Perri asks, looking over my shoulder.
"My mum and Jason have made a group chat on messages so they can both tell me that if I don't come home tomorrow there will be major consequences." I explain, putting my phone back onto the table.
"That's stupid." Jordan mutters, making me giggle.
"Yep!" I sigh raising my eyebrows.
I ignore all the messages that pop up on my phone and enjoy the meal with the boys.
