Minerva
"Nice to see you, my bully." I winked.
Venus had such a troubled face.
I guess she felt guilty doing all those stuff to me. Nevermind that, she's actually nice. I saw her helping an old lady. I was too far away but I'm sure it's her since she still had her uniform on. How come she's not honest with herself? I do hope what I thought was right and she's not really a stuck-up bitch. I would like to get to know her better, and well since we're both reincarnated children. actually quite curious to get to know who she really is.
I had doubts before but now I know that she's actually kind- I hope I'm not mistaken.
"I see that you're also shopping." I continued as she only continued to stare at me.
She stood there and gave me a glare. It's like I've caught her right handed or something. She really looks quite cute despite that bitchy attitude she had at school.
I laughed at myself causing her to glare at me once again.
"So, where do you live?" I asked.
"What's that have to do with you?" she answered, uninterested.
"Well I saw you thirty minutes ago finding a cab to book in your phone, and it kinda looks like you don't have any luck since it's the rush hour so- I was just going to ask if you wanna lift? My brother's going to arrive in about three minutes."
"I live three blocks away, in Frontview Residences."
I don't know if it's fate or not but I live there too.
I wonder what floor she lives in. Never thought fate could be at my side. I must be crazy being happy that my bully lives near me. Speaking of which, I can't wait to get to know her.
"I live there too. Why not just let my brother give you a lift? I'm sure it's quite dangerous for a popular person like you to walk around. We'll never know when a stalker will show up." I joked.
She stayed quiet as fear showed in her face. It couldn't be right? Or have I hit the nail? If then, I could get dangerous here. Should I report it to the police? I should make sure that I'm not jumping to conclusions.
"Don't tell me that what I've said is true?"
"I-"
My brother's car suddenly appeared and honked in front of us, cutting our conversation. We got in the car. My brother was smiling widely. I sure can't wait to get home, I bet even my parents are going to get every single detail since it's been a long time since I've introduced a friend-well apart from Mars. They haven't met Mars yet. Zero has black hair similar to mine before I dyed it. Unlike me, his glasses only further made him look handsome and respectable.
"This is my classmate, Venus. She lives in the same building as us."
"Venus, this is my brother, Zero."
Well, this makes my life easier. Now that my brother has met Venus, tonight's going to be a long night. I hope she doesn't recognise him. I don't want to attract the attention of the school; moreover, shit they might figure out that I'm the heir, my parents are going to kill me since I never paid attention to how I look. If, if this goes on, I'll have to wave goodbye to my quiet life.
As I was panicking about my life, I forgot about Venus and my brother.
"So are you two best friends?"
"I'm her bully." Venus said firmly.
"Bully? Woah, there's someone brave enough to-"
Oh no you don't, I won't let you destroy my perfect quiet life.
"Brother, focus when you're driving. I don't wanna die early."
My brother just scoffs. Venus didn't talk the entire drive. I do hope she won't dig deeper about my brother. About twenty minutes later, we arrived. Today's really the best day, apparently, Venus lived three floors above me in Unit 31. There's only one unit per floor that's how big each unit is.
My brother and I started to prepare dinner. It would've been fine if he didn't smile and constantly staring at me like I'm hiding something from him. I hope it won't get any worse, little did I know I was so wrong.
Dinner came and now even both my parents were smiling like a freak. It seemed that my brother had told them something I don't know about while I was preparing the table.
"So honey, Zero here said that you have a- well, your father and I and even your brother don't really pry in your private life, but- of course we are curious about this classmate of yours."
Don't pry my ass. Really it's cool and all that they wanna know, but they're going to pester me to bring her here if they figured out that Venus lives just three floors above us. Good thing my brother was busy smiling and staring at me for answers that he didn't notice or even analyze what floor Venus lives in. I should be glad that there were three other people riding in the same elevator with us.
"She's not my friend mom, not yet." I said as I took a bit of my curry chicken.
"What's her name? Zero didn't tell us. He was afraid you would be angry." My dad said.
"It's no one."
"Come on. Are you still being bullied?" my mom asked.
I stayed quiet. I really didn't want to let them down. It's just that people judge me based on my appearance. I did promise I'll join the school's basketball team to change that, but I'll have to wait for a month and if I blab about having a famous brother, I'll be looked down on.
"That's why I said that you should fit your appearance. Just because of what happened when you were young, you're going to let the entire school bully you?" my dad said, worried.
"I'll beat the crap out of them lil sis, but you know that you're even better than me. Why don't you use that?" my dotting brother said, his smile became a frown after saying the last sentence.
It's tiring becoming the center of attraction. Besides, it's because of that I'm the reincarnated child of Athena. It's like cheating and I don't like that. Everything physical has been easy to learn for me, and as for my appearance well it's not that awesome unlike my parents or my brother. It's all because of my eyesight-maybe I should get laser surgery for this?
"It's troublesome. Besides, I don't really look appealing, don't worry I promise everything would be different in college. I'll get laser surgery. I-"
"We know. You don't like attention. Especially when the entire school figured out that you're the heir to our business, they'll use you right?"
"If you do meet someone, tell us." My dad said as he finished his meal and put it away in the kitchen.
"You'll just have to wait for the surprise." I said to them and walked towards my room.
Tomorrow's the last day of classes for this week. I can't wait for next week. Just a few weeks more for the tryouts, at least then my life wouldn't be too dull then. Today's mission to get close to Venus didn't work out that well.
I picked up my phone and texted Mars.
Minerva: Hey, guess what happened.
After five minutes, there was still no reply. He doesn't really sleep that early, right? I checked the time and already ten in the evening. He's usually awake until eleven-who am I kidding, he must have been practicing for his tryouts. I guess I should up my game too huh?
I got up and opened my closet, trying to find my outfit for tomorrow. I'll have to start practicing. I guess I'll pay a visit near the park, or should I start practice shooting tomorrow at the court here tomorrow. I'll practice shooting in the morning then play at the park in the afternoon. That works! I'll just do both.

"Nerd! Sweating so much just walking here. I can't wait to laugh at you at Physical Education next week." someone from Xavier's team said to me while laughing.
Whatever. I guess teasing is still valid huh? Shesh I really can't wait for physical education, but I have to be careful. Still don't want to attract too much attention. I wonder what we'll get. Running? Basketball? Soccer? I just hope it's not dance. I'm not a good dancer.
Someone suddenly bumped my shoulders from behind almost causing me to fall. After seeing her face after she walked past me, revealing her beauty which also caused everyone to stare, it was Venus. She scoffs at me while greeting almost everyone she passed.
Really? Can't believe she's still doing that.
Isn't she tired of that?
Whatever. Just wait and I'll show you that I'm really the reincarnation of Athena then I'm sure she'll stop this-wait that's not a good idea. If that happens, she won't think about me daily-well more like how to bully me. Ugh! She's confusing me. I mean she's nice right? She helped the old lady, so that must mean that she's only bullying us to stop the others right? I mean she hasn't really bullied me that much.
I got inside the classroom and saw Mars who was laughing softly at me.
"Nerd haha. Even her friend's laughing at her. Dripped in sweat just walking to school." I heard someone say.
Am i really that drenched? I walked towards Mars with a confused face.
"What happened to you? You're really sweaty."
"Shit. Even though I've already changed."
"What were you doing anyway?"
"I was practicing shooting. I mean I have to up my game when you're trying so hard too."
"What do you mean?" Mars said, confused.
"I texted you. You didn't answer so I thought that you were practising baseball."
"I was. That's why I fell asleep earlier than usual." Mars said smiling.
"So what is it about? I've read it. I can't believe you would leave me hanging."
"I'll tell you later."
"What are the two nerds talking about?" the seat beside Mars said.
"Take your boring talks outside." another said.
"Even though we have no clue what you're talking about." another said.
"Don't be such bitch, Andrea." some girl said.
"No one even pays attention to them." she continued, causing almost everyone in the class to laugh at us. I looked at Venus and she was smiling.
Very low.
I sighed and got back to my seat in which a friend of Venus pushed away. Good thing I wasn't close enough to sit on it or I'll fall- that's what they think. My legs are actually strong enough for me to prevent me from falling from such tricks. I was kind of glad that I didn't have to do it or it'll be too troublesome. From the way I see it, Venus's kind of bullying is better or rather more humane?
I pulled my chair up and sat. After the incident, Venus told her friends not to waste their precious time on me. Precious, really? Well, that's another way to rephrase it.
Mr. Brown came in a little while after and the class began. I tried my best to concentrate only to fail on the third subject. I get sleepy during math class. I just can't understand a thing. What the heck is all the arrows? I have no idea where the boat is. Who cares about the boat? I'm running a business not a boat. I can't wait for next term, where we'll study about business math.
As I fought my way towards staying awake in class, my eyes suddenly gave up fifteen minutes before the end of math class. Everything turned quiet and pitch black. Suddenly someone slapped my back. I opened my eyes and saw Mrs. Lars.
"Could you tell us the answer?"
I looked at the board. OMG, I'm dead. I analyzed it and hoped that my skills in mathematics would help. I mean I'm great at business math, accounting, and all but the hell why should I care about where the boat is.
There's a big triangle on the board. It seemed like it was headed towards the north.
"15 degree angle, northwest?"
"Wrong. You should pay more attention to class. Sit down Ms. Henceforth"
I sat down and heard others laughing quietly. I really hate this subject. This kind of math that is. I can't wait for the end of class.
***
"You really suck at math huh?"
"No. I mean, it's a different kind of math that I'm learning from my parents."
"Accounting, finance, business management are you turfs right?"
I nodded proudly.
"Oh yeah. About the text. Apparently, Venus lives in the same building as me!" I said excitedly.
"Really? You're happy that our main bully lives in the same building as you. Are you freaking insane? I don't even know why you have a crush on her."
"I don't!"
"Suit yourself, you're her target not me. Let's just go home alright?"
"Al-"
A group of girls approached us, and told us to follow them. Little did we know something bad was about to happen. As we reached the back of the school yard, we were drenched by water. It seemed that someone from the second floor dumped cold ice water on us.
"Nerds. That's what you get. We're fans of Vulcan, and seeing Venus always hanging around you pisses me off, especially your glasses girl." The girl who seemed like the leader of the girls said.
They left in a fashionable way and didn't care if someone saw it or not.
"Are you guys okay?" Someone said, approaching us. It was a guy in a basketball uniform.
"Don't mind them, they're jerks."
"Aren't you as well?" I said.
Mars nugged me, giving me the eye that's telling me not to bother anymore.
"No. I'm not like them. I just let them be."
"That's why." I said as both of Mars and I walked away.
We walked towards the park. I have spare change since I was going to practice at the park.
"I'll have to change. How about you?"
"I was planning on building stamina so I did. I'm having a jog, how about you?"
"I'm playing with the others over there." I said pointing at the guys playing at the court.
"Won't you attract attention?" he asked.
"That's why I bought a hoodie." I smirked.
Mars and I got changed. He jogged away as I walked towards the court tying up my hair and putting on my hood.
"Can I join?" I asked, interfering with their game.
"You can practice shooting by yourself over there. We're playing a game." The big tall guy said.
He looks familiar, similar to Xavier but taller.
"Then I'll join." I said firmly.
"We don't let kids join." another said, laughing.
"I'm not a kid." I said
How can they mistake me for a kid? I'm taller than some of the boys in our class. Just because boys who often play basketball are tall. They're rude.
"But you're too short."
"Is that a way to talk to a girl?" I answered rather angrily.
"That's a more reason why you shouldn't join. It can get rough playing with guys." The tall big Xavier look-alike guy said.
"Then let's play one on one. If I win, I get to join. Fair?"
The tall big Xavier look-alike guy laughed and so did his friends.
"Alright, don't say I didn't warn you." he scoffs.
We played, long story short he never got a single point from me and I got to join their game.
"Dude, she crushed you."
"Let's see about that in an actual game." the tall big Xavier look-alike guy said, trying to collect his pride back.
The game was starting, I had the ball and dribbled slowly towards the defender. I then crossed-overed quickly between my legs to the left and faked a pass.
The defender got fooled, as he moved to my right. This gave me the opportunity to shoot a three.
Of course knowing me, I got a swack.
A perfect three from me.
After shooting, the guys were impressed. We played once more, this time I gave the others shooting chances. Most of them went for a layup since apparently from what I've seen in the game, their three pointers aren't that polished yet. The tall big Xavier look-alike guy finished his move with a cross-over jelly layup then smirked at me.
I love a game, especially a challenge.
For the next point I finished a shot using my right arm and did a layup from behind my back.
A street style play.
The crowd cheered, it seemed like we've been attracting too much attention. I saw Mars there giving me a thumbs up. The guys I played with were fired up. We defended the Xavier look-alike guy's defense and I went for a dunk. The crowd was going crazy and I decided that I should leave. It looks like my skills are still on track.
"Before you leave, what's your name? What school do you play in?"
"It's a secret. I'll play here often though."
I said as I waved goodbye. It seemed like they really like playing with me again. I walked towards Mars.
"You're really good."
"I told you before right?"
"Can't believe I didn't believe you."
"Well, wearing this hoodie is too hot. I'm going to take it off now. What time is it?"
"It's almost six."
"Shi. I need to prepare dinner."
"You're the only "nerd" I've heard swearing." He said as he laughed.
