Minerva
I called Mars after dinner, it looks like he was expecting my call as well. Just as Athena had told me, after my powers awakened, so will Mars's. He was acting all excited and all but to be honest, our powers would only be active again when there's an emergency. Well, both of us are already athletic so I guess it doesn't really matter that much.
"My powers awakened I think? When I was jogging at the park, I suddenly sped up like super fast."
"Yeah. You see, it's because my power was awakened. Athena told me that we are linked since Ares and her were rivals. I still don't quite get it. She also mentioned that we could only use our powers when we are really in grave danger. Maybe since we're already physically fit." I explained.
"So you saw Athena. I saw Ares and he's damn bulky. We just had a chat, can't believe he didn't explain anything to me and suddenly left."
"This makes me wonder. Could we, the reincarnation children date someone else I like and not the person who we originally ended up with before?"
"I think it's alright. You can date Venus. The school never mentioned anything like that though. We don't even know anyone from the secret group."
"I never-" I blushed and then continued in a soft voice.
"Said that."
"Someone's shy." Mar said as he laughed.
"Fine, I like her. Nevermind Venus. How about we ask our parents about this? They've met them before right?"
"Hmm. Sure thing. I'll bring it up tomorrow dinner."
"Nice! I actually-why don't we visit the parlor tomorrow afternoon?"
"A young maiden in love. How sweet? I don't mind. Besides, my parents are also quite fed up with me. They want me to pay attention to how I look. I guess having a haircut after two years would be nice."
We talk about random stuff that night. After taking a nice shower, it felt really refreshing. The thought of Venus, made my heart pound again. That night I wondered how our relationship would unfold. I just knew that it wouldn't be the same after the kiss.

"Morning." I said to Venus with a smile, trying to pretend nothing happened before.
To my surprise she replied which made the entire hallway filled with students look at us with surprised faces.
"Good morning, Minerva." Venus said with a beautiful smile which caused my ear to redden a bit.
"So this is the rumored Minerva." Someone said walking up to Venus.
"I'm Violet from Class 3, nice to meet you." She said with a smile.
"Nice to-"
Before I was able to finish what I said, someone put an arm around me.
"So you're just gonna forget me like that?" Mars said, jokingly with a smirk.
"Put your damn bloody hand to where it belongs, and that is not around my neck." I said as I shoved his arm away from me.
Venus and Violet were quite surprised by how we acted, including the students at the hallway.
Mars apologized after he saw that the persons in front of him were in the popular group â Venus and Violet.
"So you're Mars. Nice to meet you. I'm Venus and this is my friend Violet." Venus said as she introduced herself and Violet.
"You guys don't act like nerds. I can't believe the other would mess with you." Violet said, chuckling.
"Violet!" Venus said with a glare.
"It's true though." I said with a laugh.
"Weird thing is, these two nerds don't even act like nerds." Mars said and also laughed.
Venus smiled beautifully. Her friend, Violet bid us goodbye and left for class. Only the three of us were left.
"You didn't wear your glasses anymore." Venus said as she pointed at Minerva's eyes.
"My powers awakened and well, it helped me gain my eyesight back." I said smiling as I unknowingly felt my hand on my neck.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw that Mars was already gone. I can't believe he would leave me here with my mind and my heart panicking. Venus seemed normal. I guess I was the only one flustered between the two of us.
"So about the practice laeter?" Venus said, now twirling the ends of her hair.
"I'm sorry but I've already had an appointment with Mars. I've already told the nanny to bring you dinner." I said as I apologized.
"Oh." She replied shortly, disappointed.
"You're not avoiding me right?" She continued.
"No.- I promise, I'm not." I said honestly as I rubbed the back of my neck as I felt heat across my face.
She gave me a smile before she left.
What did she mean that I was avoiding her?
Then I remembered that she must have meant the kiss that happened yesterday. I found myself blushing again as I sat on my seat. She came in after me, I guess she must have made a trip to the bathroom first. Behind her, Mr. Brown followed. I guess it's time for class again.
Lunch was surprising. I never thought that Venus and Violet would invite us to eat with them. I begged Mars not to bail on me like what happened in the morning. We really did attract attention. As we followed behind Venus and Violet.
"I'm Travis, this is my girlfriend, Maxy." A fine built guy pointed at a brunette haired girl who has a scowl.
"Don't mind her. She's not in a good mood." Travis continued.
"I'm Minerva and my friend â well only friend Mars." I said as Mars waved his hand.
"You should be happy that I'm even here with you." Mars said with a smug that I really want to erase from his face.
"If you don't stop that, I'll have to erase that smug from your face." I said with a scary smile.
Mars just shrugged his shoulders and ate his lunch.
"Such a peculiar pair, right?" Violet said.
"Quite violent too." Travis added.
"Aren't we attracting too much attention?" I asked as I looked at the surroundings.
Everyone's eyes were on us. I don't really mind but Venus and her friends might be troubled. Besides, she really has some fine friends here. I don't want to trouble them.
"Don't mind them." Venus said, as she took a bite of her lunch.
"We weren't really that close with the others anyway. People are just generally nicer if they think you are popular." Violet said as she sighs.
"They always approach me either way. Many do talk behind my back. It's not really that nice to be considered as popular." Venus said.
"Guys are always after your virginity and girls are jealous of you. So yeah." Maxy who was quiet all the time finally said.
Violet facepalmed and Travis was laughing his ass off while Mars was trying so hard not to laugh. I guess her tongue's vicious.
"Venus knows this the best. It's quite refreshing to meet others who are also genuine." Maxy continued.
"So what do you guys do? I mean hobbies." Violet asked.
"Minerva's good at cooking but her dancing skills, not so much." Venus said with a smile.
"Didn't know you two were already close." Mars said with a smirk as he wiggled an eyebrow.
I glared at him just the thought of him imagining the relationship of Venus and I. He seriously reads too much manga.
"Just as Venus has said, I love cooking but my passion is playing basketball."
"Basketball? Whooh we did judge too much. Sorry about that." Travis said.
"Is it only that?" Mars said as he winked at me.
I really hate when he teases me like that. Fine, I do stalk Venus on instagram- what's so bad about that? I should have never told him that.
"What did you mean?" Venus asked curiously as the others.
"It's nothing. What he meant was that I also practice martial arts too." I said as I glared at him.
Mars had his both arms up as if he didn't say anything and just laughed at me.
"I play baseball." Mars said which also caused the other to be surprised.
"Wanna play with the team?" Travis asked.
"I'm part of the school's baseball team. We have tryouts about a week from now." he continued.
"You're really a good guy, you know that,Travis?" Mars said, giving Travis a happy look.
I just rolled my eyes which later landed on Venus. She seemed much happier compared to before. It made me regret cancelling our practice. I'm seriously dumb.
It hadn't noticed how long I've been staring but Venus suddenly looked at me and smiled sweetly. Our eye contact lasted longer than I thought. Feeling my ears hot, I broke our eye contact. She's really making me nervous, now I feel bad that I also want her to like me back. Aren't I just similar to the others.
"Earth to Minerva." Mars said as he hit my head.
"Do you want to have a trip to hell?" I was annoyed at him for breaking my daydreaming.
"Shouldn't that have been heaven." Mars teasingly said, pretending to be all innocent.
"You guys are really fun to be with." Travis said.
"Eat lunch with us again." Violet said.
Maxy nodded and Venus smiled. We were no longer concerned with stares that we were receiving since no one even dared to ask. Even if they did, I won't give a fuck anymore.
