Chapter 2684: I’d Do Anything for You
Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder's Record of Counterattacks
âI have a headache. You can eat it.â Cheng Fei waved his hand and rubbed his temple with his other hand.
Ning Shu took a bite of the apple and said, âThe doctor said that you have a concussion. You need a CT scan later.â
âHow do you guys plan to deal with this matter?â Cheng Fei felt nauseous and dizzy. He was in a lot of discomfort.
With a calm expression, Ning Shu continued to gnaw on the apple. âThat is up to Dad, not me. Li Qiang is Dadâs student, after all.â
Cheng Fei laid back down and said to Ning Shu, âYouâre right. Itâs indeed up to Dad.â
Helplessly, Ning Shu said, âYou shouldnât have rushed over like that.â
Cheng Fei stared at Ning Shu with tear-glazed eyes and said, âIâd do anything for you.â
Ning Shu shifted her gaze. Please donât look at her like that. She almost canât help but pity him even though he was a full-grown man.
Ning Shu stood up. âIâll go get you something to eat.â
Cheng Fei grabbed Ning Shuâs hand and whispered, âDonât go. Iâm not hungry.â
Ning Shu patted Cheng Feiâs hand and pulled her hand away. âBe good. Donât be willful.â
Ning Shu turned around and left Cheng Feiâs ward.
Cheng Fei stared at Ning Shuâs back, then closed his eyes.
When Ning Shu got home, there was a policeman at her house. She asked, âHow is the investigation going?â
âLi Qiang was motivated by his resentment over his thesis,â the policeman said.
âWe seized his computer and found chat history between him and a student from the same year named Tian Hai.
âLi Qiang complained about Professor Ai to him. Tian Hai told him that he should teach the professor a lesson; he said that the professor would then definitely kneel down in front of him and beg him for forgiveness.â
The policeman, who was wearing gloves, took out Li Qiangâs laptop and opened the chatting app.
Ning Shu scrolled through the chat history from the top.
There, Li Qiang vented and cursed out Professor Ai.
In turn, this guy, who was called Tian Hai, encouraged him.
âHave you interrogated Tian Hai?â Ning Shu asked the policeman.
âTian Hai doesnât look like a person who would do something like this,â Professor Ai said. âHow could he encourage Li Qiang to do such a thing?â
âWe have questioned Tian Hai. He told us that his account had been stolen and denied that he was the one messaging Li Qiang,â the policeman said. âPlease rest assured, Professor Ai. We will investigate this matter thoroughly.â
âCan you find out who stole his account?â Ning Shu asked. She also wrote down Tian Haiâs account ID.
Sheâd see if she could hack into it later.
Itâd depend on whether her hacking skills were up to par.
âThank you.â Professor Ai shook the policemanâs hand and sent him on his way. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Ning Shu went to see Mother Ai in the bedroom. Mother Ai was lying on the bed; with her eyebrows tightly knitted, she seemed to be thinking of something.
Blood hadnât even returned to her still pale face.
Ning Shu held Mother Aiâs hand and gave her some spiritual energy. She said, âMom, youâre safe now.â
Mother Ai looked at Ning Shu and asked, âHow is Cheng Fei?â
âHe has a concussion, but besides that, heâs fine,â Ning Shu said.
Mother Ai breathed a sigh of relief. âThank goodness that nothing serious happened to him. Otherwise, I wouldnât know how to face Cheng Feiâs parents.â
Cheng Feiâs parents lived abroad most of the time. They rarely ever returned to China.
Ai Yun pretty much never lived with her in-laws.
Mother Ai looked at Ning Shu. âIt is said that one can see the true nature of their friends in times of need. Stop thinking about having a divorce. Cheng Fei has done so much for you.
âWhenever something happens at home, Cheng Fei is always the one rushing around to take care of it. You live a very comfortable life, so why do you insist on divorcing him?â
