Chapter 2568: Why Would They Need You to Find a Pet?
Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder's Record of Counterattacks
âPlanet Omegaâs artificial intelligence system can accurately locate every single ant on the planet. Why would they need you to find a pet?â
Ning Shu laughed. âIâm just kidding. Why are you so serious today?â
âDonât take on any more dangerous missions in the future,â Alviss said. âA lot of those who go never return.â
Ning Shu nodded. âI know. I still need to become a mecha pilot.â
She couldnât bear to die just yet.
âDidnât you say you were a summoner?â Little Grass, who was still in her pocket, said contemptuously.
Alviss looked around and asked Ning Shu. âDid you hear anything just now?â
Ning Shu shook her head calmly and picked her ears. âHear what? Iâm going to rest.â
Alviss had a puzzled expression on his face for a bit. However, he didnât stay hung up on this topic.
Ning Shu returned to her room and locked her door, then took Little Grass out of her bag.
It turned into a human form, still in the shape of a little loli. It was barefooted, but it had bell anklets around its ankles.
Little Grass raised her chin and looked at Ning Shu, then snorted.
Ning Shu touched her head. âWhy havenât you grown up at all?â
Little Grass glared at Ning Shu. âWho are you to ask that? I donât know you.â
Ning Shu: What a nasty temperâ¦
âThis ghastly place has no spiritual energy at all. I grew taller in the past, but now I ended up shrinking back,â Little Grass said, still glaring at Ning Shu.
âHow did you get here?â Ning Shu asked in curiosity.
âI donât know, I passed through a crack and came here. I couldnât find the way back,â Little Grass said.
A crack between planes?
âWhereâs your former master?â Ning Shu asked.
âDead. Do you have any idea how much time has passed? Iâve lived for hundreds of years,â Little Grass said, frowning.
Ning Shu sighed. âSo youâve been this size for hundreds of years, then.â
Little Grass raised her chin. âIâm still better than you. Look at you now! Youâre short and ugly, humph!â
Ning Shu looked at Little Grass, who was now a pale and delicate little loli. âAre you angry at me?â
Little Grass squinted her eyes at her. âAm I not being obvious enough? I really want to whip you.â
âWhat do you actually do, anyway?â Little Grass asked. She seemed a little curious. âDo you just⦠run around different worlds?â
Ning Shu nodded. âYup, thatâs exactly what I do.â
This time, she had been transported into this task world. When this task ended and it was time for her to accept another task, she would be transported into a different one again.
âWhy?â
âSo I can live,â Ning Shu answered.
Little Grass snorted. âI forgive you, then. Are you going to leave again this time?â
âJust like how I occupied and left your masterâs body back then, I will also leave this body one day,â Ning Shu said matter-of-factly. Little Grass had lived for hundreds of years. After some thought, she would be able to understand the meaning of what Ning Shu said.
Little Grass frowned. âReally? Then, itâd have been better if we never met.â
Ning Shu felt that Little Grass had grown much more temperamental compared to the Little Grass that she used to know. Little Grass had been so innocent and nice before.
Little Grass had now been corrupted!
âTake me with you,â Little Grass said. âI donât want to stay in this shitty place. It doesnât have any spiritual energy.â
âI donât think thereâs a way for me to take you away,â Ning Shu said. If only she had the strength to do it, though, she would be able to take Little Grass awayâ¦
âOh,â Little Grass muttered softly. She looked aggrieved.
âThis is an interstellar plane, so technology rules above all here. Itâs normal that this plane doesnât have any spiritual energy. If you cultivate Unsurpassable Martial Arts techniques, though, you should be able to absorb a certain, different form of energy that exists here. You know Unsurpassable Martial Arts, donât you?â
âOf course I do,â Little Grass immediately said. âThat form of energy, the one that can be cultivated with Unsurpassable Martial Arts, conflicts with the energy in my body, though. Thatâs why I had to absorb other forms of energy.â
Ning Shu wondered why she didnât experience the same conflict when she had cultivated, then. Could it be because the original hostâs body had never absorbed spiritual energy before? Perhaps the body indeed could only absorb one type of energy, and perhaps the only energy that Ning Shu had cultivated since she arrived here had been that form of energy.
Ning Shu spread her hands in helplessness. âI have no solutions to offer you, then.â
She gave Little Grass some nutrient solution. Little Grass took a sip and shook her head. âIt tastes bad.â
Ning Shu rolled her eyes and said, âJust drink it.â
