40. Life was tough.

It became morning while I was still crying on the floor and I stood as soon as the nurse walked in inside again.

She was surprised to find me on the floor but then she ignored that and I stood and sat on the bed wiping off my tears and sorrows.

"A man is waiting for you outside the one who created a ruckus yesterday. Do you wanna see him? " she asked me about Rudram

"No. " And I replied without thinking once.

What was there to think about it at all?

I don't want to see him. Not now and if possible not ever.

"He is making trouble again to meet you01," she said as I sighed and stood.

"I want to discharge. The people paying you. Can you tell them to take me?" I asked her as she was staring at me with confusion.

"Didn't you ask for it from that guy yesterday?"

"I want to leave before he comes back to me.  I don't want to see any of them ever again. " I said as she nodded in agreement.

"I will call them now then," she said as she grabbed her phone from her coat pocket and dialed a number on her mobile. And after a flicker of seconds, the person's other side picked up.

"Sir she wants to meet you now. Yes sir. Yes sir. Yes her health is in a constant state. She is good to discharge. Yes sir. Yes but still we have to pay attention to her mentally. Yes, you can take her. Yes sir. I will prepare the papers. " she said and cut the call.  "They are coming to take you directly," she said and left in a hurry. With some documents from one of the cabinets in the room.

As she left the room opening the door. I caught a glimpse of Rudram standing tapping one foot and our eyes locked for a moment but she closed the door immediately.

He was drained out of color. Was dressed messily. And looking desperate.

I am fine with everyone cheating. I'm fine with everyone hurting me.

The door opened and a man walked inside with two other men behind him.

The leading was looking like someone in his 30s. Looking younger than his position. And two men behind him too in here 30s.

He walked in his all-black suit. And bowed in front of me as I flinched backward in shock.

He is too older than me to bow like this. As well as the two men behind him bowed for me.

"You have no idea how much we were looking for you, Ms. Rathod. "

I have changed my name like a dress in my life.

"How are you feeling now? " he asked me as I nodded in reply and he gave a pleasant smile.

"Are you ready to leave with us? " he asked and my eyes widen at him.

"Where are we going?"

"Your home. Your grandfather is waiting for you," he said and again passed me a smile as I looked around the room.

"Let's go," he said and gestured with his hand and I started to walk.

I don't know who and whom to trust anymore.

The door opened and I saw Rudram as his eyes widen at me,  seeing me with these men.

"Where are you going? " the constables at the door in their police uniforms started to grab him as he tried to come to me. "Look I saw Vanish leaving your room yesterday night. I know he told you everything. But please hear me too. " he said in a begging voice as I looked up into his eyes.

"What do you wanna say more lies? You were cheating on me all along. And acting like I was being an asshole with you in America and yesterday in the ward. Like I was a bitch." I said and scoffed at him.

"Look I know I made a mistake in the beginning. I was scared of being nothing. Scared of being kicked out with nothing in my life. That's why I went to extremes. But then I met you. I fell in love with you. And regretted it with every breath I intake. But I had no way to tell you.  I wanted you to be with me. For once and forever. That's why. Please Roohi please forgive me. Please I'm sorry." he begged me again as we both fixated in each other's eyes.

And at this moment.

I didn't want to hear a sorry. I don't want to hear an explanation. I don't.

Because hearing his answer was making me more mad.

What??  He was scared of being nothing?

He was scared of losing money? And that's why he chose to destroy someone else life.

The fact that even though he knew what kind of family I was being raised in and saw me getting beaten like that. He still wished to take away the only power I had at that moment.

Was making me mad. Madder.

It was me and he fell for me so that's why he regretted it.

"What scared of being nothing? Do you know what now I will show you what being nothing means. Now I will show you what nothing is." I said as I crossed passed him. Leaving him behind me.
