Alex realized his explanation was futile. He took a deep breath and said, “I’m fickle, but I have my limits too, Paige. If you don’t mind, please give me time. I will take responsibility for you.”

Alex smiled. “I’m just showing my concern for you. Tell me if something is keep it bottled up inside?”

“No, but I will follow my heart. I think that you should question yourself whether you love the Caroline who saved you or the current Caroline,” Alex answered.
