âGrace, are you listening?â Dad asked mom irately.
âI will, when you say something worth listeningâ Mom retorted.
âThat girl will not be coming to my packâ Dad snapped. An aggressive growl came from my wolf, when he heard that, and I clenched my fist to hold him back. However, Quinn, who was beside me, talking to someone in the phone, looked at me questioningly.
âShe will and thatâs my final decisionâ Mom growled out placing the bowls on the table with a clank.
Darya is my mate and we are supposed to decide what to do, but unfortunately my parents are deciding for us. That was irritating me and I was growling lowly every single time, but was ignored by both of them.
âI am the Alpha and I have decided that she will not come to this packâ Dad said pulling back his chair and taking a seat.
âYou are no longer an Alpha of the packâ mom said amused and dad growled at her in warning. âJust like I am not the Luna anymoreâ mom said softly and then turned to look at me and Quinn.
âCut the call and come to have dinner Quinn, Qâ she called sitting on her chair. Huffing, I got up from the couch and marched towards the table.
âExactly. Then why are we having this discussion?â Dad asked simply.
âBecause we want Q to take a decisionâ mom said and I cocked an eyebrow. I thought they were doing it for me.
âAlright. I know what Qâs decision isâ Dad said smugly and mom looked at him questioningly. âHe doesnât want her to come hereâ my wolf snapped his jaws, after hearing my fatherâs words, and glasses and crockeries rattled, while the whole table vibrated from my savage growl.
âGive me a warning next timeâ Quinn mumbled with a frown getting up and going to get a sponge to clean the table, because his glass fell while I growled.
Dad looked totally taken aback while mom looked jubilant.
âI guess he doesâ mom said in satisfaction as she poured water to Quinnâs glass.
âI donâtâ I muttered with a frown while my wolf growled in contradiction. Dad heaved a sigh, while momâ¦. She just gave me a death glare.
âRepeat itâ my mother snarled at me and I looked away harshly. Darya had impressed mom the moment mom she came to know the name of her farm. She cried for a whole day recalling her former pack, before finally asking me to tell everything about Darya. I told her a few things, however mom wasnât satisfied and so she took a bold step and contacted Duncan Rhoades.
At last, after meeting Darya, mom liked her all the more and I didnât know what had happened to cause that. However, now ma was adamant in her decision of bringing Darya here, while dad was against it.
Me⦠I donât know what the fuck I should do. My wolf without any doubt wants her. He has been going crazy to the point where he has started snapping at others for minute things. I am confused.
Darya is pretty to look, just like a doll, but she is very offensive too. I donât know what that girlâs problem is but she doesnât agree with anything I say. She has to contradict and state her own opinion. As much as I appreciated her for standing up to me, it still riles me up because I am not used to people refuting me, in anything.
When I didnât, mom growled before saying, âShe is already living with her fatherâs rejection; I donât want you doing the same to her.â
Her words got my attention and I finally looked up. What does that mean? I thought the former Alpha didnât know she was his daughter.
âHer fatherâs rejection?â Dad asked with furrowed brows.
âAbraham Rhoades knew she was his daughter, but still refused to claim her as his childâ Mom said still glaring at me.
I was startled by that piece of information. I didnât know that part. Darya only told me that she was stolen by the Kenrickâs when she was a baby.
âNo wonder no one knew about herâ Quinn mused after hearing momâs words.
âI always knew Abraham was no goodâ Dad said in a tone that expected applause and when he got none, he sighed and continued, âNo one knew about her because even the son kept her real identity a secret.â
âSecret from us and actually itâs not a secret because the internal matters of Emperor Pack donât concern usâ mom retorted tartly.
â100 bucks, mom is going to win this argumentâ Quinn said through the link and I shot him a glare through the corner of my eyes. âOkay⦠75?â
âShut upâ I retorted.
Taking a deep breath, âLike I said, her father rejected her and you, as her mate donât do the same to her. At the least you can do Q, is try it outâ¦. say for a couple of months. See if you can work this outâ mom said with a shrug.
âI think thatâs a good solutionâ Quinn said munching a slice of carrot.
âDid anyone ask for your opinion?â Dad launched at him and Quinn scowled. âBesides Grace, I thought this argument was about helping Q decide, not just stating what we want.â
âWhen did I state anything?â mom asked clearly offended.
âYou want her here and you told Q to bring her here. You gave him no option after telling the truth about that girlâs father.â
âHer name is Daryaâ I hissed through gritted teeth because I was tired of hearing âthat girl.â âAnd I donât want either of you arguing because I will decide if she will come here or notâ I stated.
âWell, you are right son; it is your decision at the end of the dayâ Dad said calmly, which I found extremely suspicious.
âAnd just what will your decision be?â mom asked me cocking one perfect brow.
âYou are about to go down because mom has you in a nookâ Quinn said amused and I turned to glare at him.
âAnswer me Qâ mom demanded gently.
âI need timeâ I mumbled sheepishly.
âWasnât three days enough?â
âAgain with that Graceâ dad remarked. âGive him some time because even that girl-â when I glared at him, he cleared his throat and said, âI mean Darya, too needs to be involved in this. What if Q wants her here and she doesnât want to come?â mom frowned at that. âI saw her today afternoon, she barely looked at Q and he is supposed to be her mateâ dad added.
A small smirk formed on my lips because I knew why she did that. She was angry with me and that is her way of making me aware of her anger.
âYou are smirking?â Quinn asked looking at me through narrowed eyes.
âEatâ I said and he rolled his eyes.
âI donât think soâ mom declared. âI met her and from what little I have got to know her, I can tell she is perfect for Q, for this packâ
âEnlighten me, why is it so?â dad demanded.
âWhy is dad even arguing when mom is surely going to win?â Quinn mused and I had to agree, he was right in this.
âWhy? Letâs go with she has a kind heart, I could see it in the way she expressed her love for her brother, the plants⦠she threats those plants like a child. She has an employee who is an autistic and a personâs true nature is known only when we see how they treat people who are not as privileged as them. She is brave, because no girl from this pack would have agreed to come with you when you are confronting the neighboring Alphaâ mom stated smugly.
âNailed itâ Quinn remarked through the link and I smiled. That last remark hit home because the girls from Serene Pack were very submissive before mom joined the pack. Once mom became the Luna, she made training for she-wolves a compulsory in the pack. This is why only the new generation she-wolves in the pack are trained but even then very few are fighters. They only help the pack in the case of emergency, or else they would prefer being in home, because that is what their mothers did all their life.
âDamn! I should have placed that bet with youâ he said and I scoffed.
âWe all know who wins every timeâ I said to him.
âI donât think she is braveâ dad expressed. When will he learn? Quinn and I groaned at the same time and mom chuckled while dad glared at the pair of us. âShe has four guards to save her lifeâ dad pointed out with a frown.
âDarya didnât have four guards with her, to save her life, when she ran into the school building to save her schoolmates from getting burntâ mom said and I sighed. Thatâs the reason Darya received the best outgoing student of the year in the Boarding School. She had saved seventeen of her schoolmatesâ lives when the left wing of the school building got caught in a fire. I had to admit that was very brave of her.
âShe didnât care about her life and I think all these qualities not only make her a good person, but also a good Luna. She has the ability to lead a pack. Plus, she is a girl of character and manners, and nothing like that shameless daughter of your Betaâ mom said to dad who just rolled his eyes with a smile. Quinn and I laughed because mom hates Leah and doesnât even bother hiding it.
âJust because Leah wants to become a Luna of this pack doesnât mean itâs actually going to happenâ dad said gently.
âWell if Darya isnât going to come here then it will give wrong impression to everyoneâ mom pointed out.
âEspecially Leah and her fatherâ Quinn piped in.
âMaxwell isnât involved in this. It was his mateâ dad said bitterly and I rolled my eyes. He still trusted his friend, who in the first place put all those thoughts inside Leahâs head.
âWhateverâ mom said shaking her head and then looked at me, âWhatâs your decision Q?â
Yes. My wolf pronounced without any hesitation. He wanted Darya to be with him because she is his. Thatâs the only thing that mattered to him. He didnât care if our packs were rivals or if my dad disliked Darya.
Me? Since Darya didnât agree to my suggestion, I knew this was the only other option. She was outraged when I said that we mate and part ways. I suppose she might agree to try it out for two months and then if it doesnât work, we will part ways⦠like friends?
Fuck! That word sounded horrendous even when it came from my mouth.
There is no way we can be friends. I knew in the end, if being mates doesnât work out, then we might end up killing each other. Other than that, there was a minute part in me, which wanted to get to know Darya.
âQ?â mom probed and I looked up to see three pairs of eyes focused on me.
Sighing, I answered, âYesâ because I wanted Darya to come here.
âYes to bringing Darya to the pack?â mom questioned looking me in the eye and I nodded. Immediately she heaved a sigh and beamed in delight. âI am so glad you took the right decisionâ she said happily.
My wolf yipped in joy because he was happy that I finally agreed to what he always wanted.
I looked at my dad, who was surprisingly quiet.
âWhere is she going to stay if she comes here?â Quinn asked interestedly.
âWith Q of courseâ mom answered in a duh tone. I clenched my hands to form a tight fist. There is no way I am going to share a room with Darya. I might go insane if I find that doll faceâs things in my room. No fucking way! My room is only mine. Only I am allowed to sleep in that bed. Only my clothes are allowed to be kept in my closet. There is no way I am going to share it with Darya.
My wolf was furious but I pushed him back. I will not agree to everything he says. Bringing Darya to the pack is more than enough, for now.
âOh! I need to inform it to othersâ mom imparted merrily, getting up. But before going out, she rushed towards me and kissed my cheek, âI am really very proud of youâ she said tears flooding her blue-green eyes. Ruffling my hair, she walked away.
âWhat about me?â Quinn questioned with a pout but mom was already out of the house by then.
âShe will be very proud of you if you stop acting like a kidâ dad snapped at him and Quinn grumbled something before getting up and walking away.
âI heard youâ dad said with a growl staring at Quinnâs retreating figure.
âThatâs why I said itâ Quinn snapped before leaving.
I sighed and decided what should I do now? Should I call her or go to her pack?
No. I am not going to go to her pack. I will just call her and tell her so and so⦠if she doesnât agree⦠then fine, itâs not like my life depends on it.
Mom will be disappointed but then again, itâs not my fault if she didnât agree. I tried but if Darya is foolish enough to reject my proposal for the second time, then it is her loss, not mine. My wolf will be sad, but then he will survive.
âJust because I agreed doesnât mean, I am okay with her coming hereâ my dad said and I frowned at him.
âI am giving this a two month shotâ I muttered under my breath. I want to see in these two months, if I can resist myself from either killing her or cutting her nasty tongue off. If I donât do either things, then that means I can live with her for the rest of my life.
âYes. In those two months, if that girl falls in love with you, then it will be a good thing for usâ¦.â Dad trailed on and on but I had stopped hearing what he said, the moment I heard the word love.
That word made me feel sick because I donât quite understand it! I only believe in parents love for their children. Not mates!
What has love got to do with all this? Being mates is all about marking the she-wolf, mating and if you wish then spending your life together and having a family. Where the fuck does love come in this?
Itâs a choice. You choose what you want. If you want to be with your mate, then you go for it or else you reject them.
Lust and attachment is the appropriate word, according to me, to explain what mates have.
Mateâs lust after each other, which is why we have all that mating shit and then the attachment they have for their mate is what makes them have a family of their own.
This is the other reason I donât want Darya staying in my room. She entices me and I will not be able to resist that temptation if she is with me, in my bed. Even though I want to have sex with her, I will never initiate it because I want her to come to me.
I want her to regret her words of being able to find someone better than me. That snarky comment of Darya hit home because never before had I been snubbed by the opposite sex and to know that my own mate had done it, made me furious.
I spent that night hunting in the woods. Thatâs how pissed I was.
âQ, you understood?â dad asked bringing me out of my thoughts and I frowned at him. âDid you listen to what I said?â he questioned.
âYesâ I lied.
âGoodâ dad smiled proudly and I nodded in confusion. Good what? Before I could ask him anything, he spoke again, âCall Darya and ask her to come here.â
Oh! Thatâs what he was talking about.
âAlrightâ I murmured, dropping my spoon, on my now empty plate.
That night, I was sitting in my bed and toying with my cellphone. I hated this. I didnât know what I am going to tell to Darya. Knowing her, I am sure she will start laughing at my face.
Then suddenly, I stiffened. Why am I so bothered about this? I am the master of manipulation. I will make it seem like she is the one who asked for us to try being mates for⦠two months. Thatâs sixty days.
Itâs more than enough.
Sighing, I finally called Darya.
I had been wondering whether to call her or not since the past two days. However chose against it because I didnât know what to tell to her. Instead, these two days, I had a background check on Darya done again.
Even then I came to know very few things about Darya. Her classmates remember her as the shy and timid girl, who rarely spoke to others. Actually, there are four real reasons they remember Darya. One- she had saved seventeen students, from fire, on that fateful day.
When no one dared to get inside the building, Darya had boldly entered and saved her classmates. Her act of bravery brought a shocked reaction more than admiration one.
Two- on prom night, Darya had gotten drunk and punched her professor who had apparently given her a C- grade in French. Her classmates say that the incident was very hilarious.
Three- Her connection with the Granel , Alpha of The Supreme Pack, where the boarding school is situated. Even tiny matters concerning Darya were informed to Granel, who is the trustee of the school, while his mate is the principal.
Students, who tried to bully her, were suspended. A boy had once kissed her after placing a bet with his friends, was punched in the face, by Granel, before getting expelled. I suppose since Duncan and Granel are good friends, Granel used to take special care of Darya. Plus, her classmates remember her being surrounded with guards.
Darya was popular even when she didnât have any friends. I was surprised to hear that she didnât have any friend in all the five years she studied in boarding school. Darya didnât socialize, declined all party invites. She didnât live in hostel either. She used to do up and down, daily, from Emperor Pack to Supreme Pack.
And Four- she was good an athlete. She had incredible speed and I suppose thatâs another plus.
The other reason, I had her investigated was to know if she had any boyfriend. Surprisingly, she had none and I am not ashamed to admit that, I was very pleased to hear it. My wolf was jubilant after hearing it too. I didnât like the thought of Darya with other men.
But as the real reason, she didnât have a boyfriend sank in, my mood dampened. It was because of that jerk Vernon, who was also her brotherâs third-in-command. I donât know what the fuck she ever saw in him. She is all smiles and giggly with him, but all I have ever received from her were her nasty glares.
I am better than that jerk. Way better than that jerk.
I wanted to punch Vernon but however, I knew he had no feelings for Darya. He saw her like a kid and that was some sort of relief. But then there is that guard of hers⦠Dick, Nick⦠whatever his name is. I donât like the way he looks at her. My wolf wants to tear him apart but when it comes to Nick, I know Darya isnât even aware of that wolfâs attraction to her.
Other than these few things, I knew nothing. Neither did her classmates or any other wolves. They all have heard about Darya, but no one really knows her. All the things they said, it feels superficial to me. They donât exactly explain what kind of person she is.
In short, Darya is a very private person. If I had to find anything about her then the only way, just like Darya said, is to ask her.
The call got picked after eight rings, âHello?â she said on the other end.
âQuillon hereâ I mumbled in silence.
âOh Wow, since you finally called me I assume your fingers didnât break, but as you are three days late, I am not interested in talking to you. So please, leave your message after the beep. BEEPâ she snapped and cut the call.
It took me few seconds to actually understand what she said because she was too quick. In the end I was torn between anger and laughter, but laughter won because of the way she said âBeepâ.
Smirking, I dialed her number again. This time she picked up after two rings, âVery funnyâ I retorted and she growled. I growled louder than her which caused her to growl again.
âSo is this the way we are going to talk?â I demanded through gritted teeth, because she started muttering curses at me from the other end. Boy, that girl swears like a fishwife.
âI donât want to talk to youâ she launched furiously and cut the call, again. A loud feral growl erupted from my chest and I threw the phone on my bed because I would have crushed it otherwise.
Why curse so much if she didnât want to talk in the first place? My ears are ringing even now!
I shook my head and clenched my fists. I am not going to call that crazy female again. I am done with her. At that precise moment, my phone started ringing.
Gritting my teeth, I answered the call without seeing who the caller was.
âI am done complainingâ Darya mumbled lowly and I growled. âWhy did you call?â she asked softly.
âOh! So you do know to talk normally?â I questioned sarcastically.
âShut up and tell me why you called. I donât have time to waste on youâ she launched and I pursed my lips. I will not bite back to that comment. I will not bite back.
I can do this.
âSince you refused my first suggestion, which I still think was good; I have come up with another oneâ I said calmly.
âIf this is as stupid as your first one, then this is the last time we are going to talk" I punched my bed because I couldnât punch her. My wolf growled because he didnât approve of it.
âFineâ I spoke through gritted teeth. âLetâs give being mates a try.â
She was silent for few seconds and I wondered what happened to her. My wolf perked up in apprehension. âDarya?â I called unsurely.
âDid the sun rise from west today?â she mused and I started trembling in rage. I will not bite back again because that doll face is purposely baiting me.
âYou are so funnyâ I snapped sarcastically and she had the nerve to chuckle at that.
âNo⦠Seriously? What did you eat?â she giggled and my wolf sighed.
âDeal or no deal?â I breathed out in frustration.
âUmmâ¦â I was hanging on my temper by a very loose string. What the fuck is she thinking about?
âYes. Dealâ her answer was a whisper and my wolf growled in satisfaction.
âFor two months.â
âSixty days?â Darya gasped and I smirked.
âWhy doll face? Will you find it difficult to control yourself?â I imparted smugly and there was a loud growl from Darya, which was like music to my ears.
âThere is nothing I find difficult in this worldâ she growled and I cocked an eyebrow, amused. âAnd I will be able to control myself. You are not Mr. Irresistible.â
âLetâs seeâ I challenged and then sighed, âSo, do you want me to pick you up or are you going to come here tomorrow?â I said and prayed she choose the latter. However, my wolf was praying she pick the former.
âPick me? Why?â she asked stupidly.
âWhat do you mean why?â I growled out.
âWhy would you pick me up tomorrow? Are we going out?â Darya continued being stupid.
âAre you always this dense?â I questioned and Darya growled in anger. âSince there is no way, I can leave my pack, you are going to have to come here and stay for the next sixty days.â
As I concluded that sentence, I heard a loud crack of glass breaking. My wolf stood up anxiously while I furrowed my brows. Is she alright?
âCome again?â she queried.
âYou heard me.â
âMove to your pack? Thatâs what you meant by t-trying? I have to m-move into your pack?â Darya stuttered in shock.
âThatâs how this worksâ I stated with a shrug.
âI am not going to move into your packâ she burst out in anger and my wolf growled in fury. He didnât like hearing her say that. âHow could you even think I am going to move into your stupid pack?â she spat and I growled thunderously. My wolf didnât appreciate her words either.
âYou wanted something better and you got it. You moving here is my condition in this deal. If you donât come here, then the deal is off. Donât blame me when you will be miserable for the rest of your life. I tried to give it a shot but you refused, again. So, itâs up to you Darya, to explain to yourself, your wolf as well as others, why you gave up, what you wanted from the startâ I stated in my Alpha tone and without bothering to hear her reply, I cut the call.
Once again, I dropped my cellphone on the bed, and held the edges of my bed, tightly.
What is the problem with that girl? Why has she to argue with everything I say? In times like this, that habit of hers is annoying and it makes me want to strangle her.
My wolf, who was at the forefront when I applied my condition, was now happy to be in the background. He was sad that his mate didnât accept it.
During the first time, he didnât approve of my offer because he didnât like it. He wanted Darya to be with him permanently and he didnât like the thought of us just mating once and leaving each other.
However, my wolf had somehow come to accept this because if we try being mates for a couple of months and succeed, then there might be a future for us.
I scoffed at that and stood up to go downstairs when my cellphone started ringing.
Well aware that it was from Darya, I let it ring for few seconds before picking up the call.
âI acceptâ she imparted quietly and my wolf growled in satisfaction. He started jumping and wagging his tail.
âDid the sun rise from west today?â I repeated her line, with a smug expression and I heard her growl from the other end.
âShut upâ she jeered through gritted teeth. âYou put your condition, now listen to mineâ she said and I furrowed my brows. My wolf stopped jumping and stiffened.
âI move into your pack, but I will not join your packâ she declared and I held the bed sheet in a tight grip. She was being shrewd and I hated it, especially when it has me in a corner. My wolf bristled while I slowly, ripped the sheet.
âDeal? Or no deal?â Darya demanded.
No deal, I wanted to yell.
âDealâ I breathed out in fury. âYou are coming tomorrowâ I stated.
âNoâ she snapped and I blinked.
âWhat?â
âNo. You put only one condition and so did I. If you put one more, then I am going to put two moreâ she launched angrily.
âGo aheadâ I dared. âTell me what your second condition isâ I demanded.
âNext weekâ Darya breathed out. âI move to your pack next weekâ
âFine. My second condition, you stay in my houseâ I heard her suck in a breath, but she didnât argue anymore.
âFineâ she retorted heatedly and then cut the call.
Darya might have a face of a doll, but she has a mind as cunning as a fox. She knows to negotiate and grudgingly, I had to admit, I appreciated that quality.
Her shrewdness would help her survive. Particularly here, because I knew majority of wolves from my pack, already dislike her since she belongs to Emperor Pack.
A Luna needed to be shrewd. Rogues often tend to contact the Luna first, to make their point and itâs not a good thing. They know a Luna can be an Alphaâs weakness. But I didnât want that. I wanted a Luna, who is strong enough to not only defend herself, but also to manipulate her enemies.
Darya already had the second quality because she just made me agree to her condition. She might lack the first one, but with good training, she will definitely improve, because I am not going to keep a single guard for her.
My wolf approved it because he didnât like other male wolves being around her. But he was also worried that my enemies might attack her.
However, I shook that thought out of my head. Even if my enemies get to her, I wouldnât let them touch her.
I knew well and good how to handle all my enemies.
Especially one named- Konrad.
I am going to bring that bastard to my momâs feet. Â The other mutts living in Elegance Pack might have been killed by Duncan, Cortez and their allies, but I will not let him run away.
I will kill him.
His father has destroyed my momâs whole pack and as a promise, I made to my mom, I will make them suffer.
She had told me everything even before I became an Alpha and she wanted me to hunt and kill all those responsible for the destruction of Elegance Pack.
Mom was very close to her brother, Victor Burke, who was also the last Alpha of Elegance Pack. Her parents had died when she was three and she along with her two elder sisters, were brought up by her brother. The sisters used to call their brother as papa.
My mom had found her mate when she was nineteen and immediately she joined this pack. Three years later, when she was pregnant with me, her former pack was attacked by the rogues. Her whole pack was destroyed but to protect her as well as me, dad hid the truth from her.
Within a week after my birth, mom had come to know the rogues had destroyed her former pack, killed her brother, her family, and her pack members. She had sunk into depression for few months from the shock of hearing that news. I was a baby then and I was brought up by my nanny, for the first nine months of my life, because mom was unstable at that time.
She had told me that she didnât even realize time passing. She doesnât remember watching me crawl or walk on my fours or sit and she deeply regrets it too. Mom had finally come out of her depression, when I had taken my first wobbling steps towards her.
The thought that she had even blocked her infant baby, as in me, out of her life, is what made mom start moving on in her life.
She and my dad were estranged for almost a year after my birth, but she was finally able to forgive dad because she realized, he kept the truth from her only to protect her and me.
But she didnât like it that my father didnât attack and kill the rogues who were then residing in Elegance Pack. So she herself took a bold step and went to attack the rogues. It was a rash move from mom because had my dad not been there, the rogues would have mauled her to death that day.
She was highly outnumbered and no match for those rogues. She might have returned home, without success, but her determination to kill those rogues skyrocketed that day.
For years, she kept a good watch on them. She had hired agents who would inform her everything those rogues, especially what Serge and Leo would do.
When I was fourteen, An Alpha killer named O had become popular amongst our kind. Mom wanted to hire O to kill the rogues, but to this day no one knows who is O. And when I was fifteen, O just disappeared. No one had heard about him after the death of Isadora Hampton.
It was also during the same time, that Peter Morelandâs illegitimate son, Cortez Moreland, attacked the rogues. Duncan, Granel, Tyson, his twin Tyler, attacked the rogues together along with their packs.
This time the rogues were outnumbered and they were completely wiped out. Mom was jubilant that day. She was relieved to hear that her brotherâs pack was free from rogues. She had wanted to personally go and thank Cortez and others but she didnât do it because she knew that all those packs were mourning for their losses too. Specifically Cortez, who lost his father.
She did try to contact him, but somehow her messages never reached him.
However, after few months, she came to know about the few rogues, who have escaped during the attack.
The rogue, Ruben, who was Leoâs son, was supposedly killed but then we heard that Cortez Moreland had accepted him to the pack because apparently Ruben was an innocent.
Initially she thought they were harmless, but there was a rogue named Konrad, who got her attention because he started attacking Cortezâs mate. He also started attacking different packs along with his aids. One of Konradâs aids, Cable, who actually belonged to my pack, had raped and murdered two she-wolves from our pack, before fleeing.
Since Konrad was becoming more and more of a threat, mom knew he needed to be killed. But Konrad wasnât that easy to be killed. Mainly because he was a result of sorceries. He could hypnotize others and that is how he could kill so many wolves.
By then, I had become the Alpha of Serene Pack and mom wanted me to carry out that task. She wanted me to kill Konrad, because she knew only I was capable of that.
That was when I personally took over the task of killing Konrad. I had never met him, but I had seen his photo and have heard enough about him to know he is a fucking monster. He is always underground and it is quite difficult to find him, but I have a plan, which will bring him to me.
I will attack his aids first and then kill him.
My revenge with him is not only because he is involved with Elegance Pack, but itâs also because Konrad is a danger to our kind. If he keeps continuing killing us, then we, werewolves, might either become an extinct species or slave to Konradâs wicked ways. I know killing Konrad isnât easy, what with all his gifts.
But every rule has an exception and to Konradâs rule- I am an exception.
****
So, did you like it?
Do you think Quillon will be able to hurt Konrad, a powerful creature?
