“Are you boys okay in there?” she asked a little worried. These young people nowadays didn’t know their limits. She was afraid they would get injured on such an important day.

“Mu mum. We are okay. Just go downstairs and wait for us. We will be down in a minute,” said Yi Chen his back flat on the ground while staring up at the culprit who was looking at him worriedly.

Lin Ruoxi still wasn’t reassured so she said, “Young people like you shouldn’t be so impatient. You will have plenty of alone time as soon as we are do-.”

“Mum! Seriously, it’s not what you think,” said Yi Chen and Lin Rouxi finally let it go.

“Okay, okay fine. I won’t say anything. Just come down soon,” she said before leaving. Before she could turn towards the stairs a hand suddenly grabbed her before dragging her into the next room. She was about to yell when the person closed her mouth and whispered, “Ru, it’s m-... ouch,” before yelping after Lin Ruoxi sunk her teeth into his hand.

“No no no biting. We have talked about this before,” he said and she humphed while folding her arms across her chest.

“Aren’t you the one who asks me to bite your shoulder hard when we are doing it?” she said exposing his little kinks with no scruples.

“You said you would never say it out loud,” he said while resisting the urge to kiss her. How she missed his sugar bear so much and couldn’t wait to hold her in his arms.

“Babe,” he said grasping both her arms, “what can I do to fix this... to fix... us.” He pressed his forehead against hers and continued in a whisper, “I am dying inside... Please.”

Lin Ruoxi pressed her tongue against her cheek with slight annoyance with herself. She couldn’t help but gravitate towards him despite being angry at him. She also missed him and it had been hard on their family but she still couldn’t let it go.

Her children had moved into her bedroom pushing out their father and she let them. She loved the sleepovers and the pillow fights with her kids but she also missed her big bear. She wanted to cuddle with him so badly.

“You should apologise to Han Han first and publicly too then we can revisit this, okay,” she said and Yi Zhen’s face lit up slightly.

He wasn’t very good at apologising but if it got his family back then he would do his best.

“Okay... then can I... can I have a kiss,” he said but Lin Rouxi shoved his face away while saying,

“Nice try buddy.”

After saying that she walked out of the room while rubbing her red cheeks. Being pulled like that into a dark room was a little thrilling for her that her cheeks heated up. She liked it romantic and soft but when she was also into a little rough action thus she couldn’t help but blush.

Meanwhile, Zi Han helped Yi Chen up with a look of guilt. Just now when he heard Lin Ruoxi’s voice he was so frightened that he kicked him off of him.

“You broke my back,” complained Yi Chen while stretching.

“Let me get you a medic kit,” he said while turning to look for it when his hand was grabbed and Yi Chen interlocked their fingers while saying,

“Can you heal me? Please?”

He raised his other hand and pointed at his lips while saying, “I need some mouth to mouth resuscitation.”

How much more shameless could this man be? Quite shameless actually. In fact, he should have earned the title of the most shameless husband of the year booting out Yeoh Jun.

When Zi Han came downstairs with a white t-shirt and red suit jacket on he was as dazzling as the twin suns of Varanasi but it wasn’t as dazzling as the lip hickey he obviously didn’t have before he went upstairs.

Behind him was Yi Chen walking slowly with a joyous smile on his face like he had just won the lottery.

He had nothing against Yi Chen and even liked him a lot but when he thought of that kissing scene, the man would get into protective mode. No wonder Zi Feiji always messed with him at every chance he could get. It was because he was annoyed that his family’s cabbage was munched on.

It is customary that fathers dislike their daughter’s boyfriends because they were once young too and knew fully well what was on those boy’s minds. Yes, Zi Han was a man but that didn’t stop Yeoh Jun from feeling a little irritable.

“Oh well, all of us can handle our liquor except you so drink less,” he said and Yi Youxi raised his hand too.
