Ye Qing’s eyes were very red and slightly swollen. Showing a smile that conveyed she had been mistreated, she answered, “I’m okay.”

She chases after freedom and love. She and Mr. Lu haven’t known each for long. It’s only normal that those two don’t have much affection for each other. Don’t blame Zhenzhen for wholeheartedly wanting to leave.”

The words that she had selected were all true. Ye Qing didn’t feel as if she had said anything wrong.

Ye Zhen had been the one that agreed to give her back the position of Mrs. Lu. It was also Ye Zhen that wanted to leave.

Mrs. Lu freely chuckled when she heard these words. “I understand. Zhenzhen is a good child. It’s only natural that she’ll feel scared about marrying someone she doesn’t have feelings for. It’s also normal that she would want to leave. I can empathize with that part of her feelings very well from my own experience. But, you don’t have to worry about Zhenzhen. Ye Qing’s original intention was to give Mrs. Lu a bad impression of Ye Zhen. She hadn’t expected that Mrs. Lu would be so reasonable. In a few words, she had easily accepted this information.

All of the Ye family’s relatives knew about the the Ye family’s identical twin daughters. The older sister was clever and outstanding while the younger sister was quiet and mediocre.

When these relatives had received Ye Qing and Lu Beichuan’s wedding invitations, they had sighed and said Ye Qing was truly outstanding. She had even been able to win over Lu Beichuan. But, they had only sighed. They weren’t that surprised by the news.

And so, they were shocked that Lu Beichuan was actually going to marry Ye Zhen!

He was going to marry Ye Zhen? Ye Zhen, a nobody that wasn’t even as half as good as her older sister?

Everyone was shocked! There were endless streams of discussions.

“Ye Zhen? How did Ye Zhen become the bride?”

“I really could haven’t foreseen this. Ye Zhen seemed like such an honest child. It’s so surprising that CEO Lu would be attracted to her.” Under the circumstances, using the word “honest” wasn’t complimentary.
