Chapter 45 – I’m pregnant?! (3)

Lu Beichuan shook his head slightly at William.

William returned to his senses. He sorted out his expression to a standard doctor’s smile. He said to Ye Qing, “It’s nothing. You’re in good health.”

Ye Qing glanced at Lu Beichuan, but Lu Beichuan only gestured for a nearby servant to send Ye Qing back to get some rest.

After Ye Qing left, William hastily asked in a quiet voice, “What’s going on? She was clearly pregnant when I examined her a few days ago. But today... Impossible... I didn’t make a mistake in my examination!”

“You didn’t many any mistakes. It’s because that person isn’t Ye Zhen.”

“Isn’t Ye Zhen? What do you mean?”

Lu Beichuan’s expression was gloomy. “It wasn’t Ye Qing that married over here. It was her younger sister, Ye Zhen. It’s also Ye Zhen that’s pregnant. She went back to her parents’ home a few days ago. After she came back, the way she spoke and her esthetics and habits has changed. That’s why I had you come over here to examine her. It seems that I haven’t guessed wrong.”

“Wait... what do you mean by this?” William had grown up abroad. For him to be able to speak Chinese fluently, it wasn’t easy. For Lu Beichuan to expose the sister’s plot, William couldn’t immediately come to terms with things.

Lu Beichuan didn’t bother explaining any further. “I told you to investigate Ye Zhen. Have you found out anything?”

William heard his phone chirping to alert a new text message. He took the phone out to read the message. “I found out... She booked a ticket for an international flight tomorrow.”

“International flight?” Lu Beichuan’s tone was calm, but he was grinding his back molar teeth and his face was stretched taut. “What time?”

“Tomorrow at 5PM.”

Lu Beichuan suppressed his anger and stood up from his wheelchair.

“Although your rehabilitation has been going well, I still recommend that you...” William suddenly remembered Lu Beichuan’s character, and helplessly asked, “What are you going to do?”

Lu Beichuan smiled. “Isn’t she leaving tomorrow? I’m going to send her off.”

The next day, at 3PM, Lu Beichuan took his time in leaving the Lu family’s villa. On the drive to the airport, he looked out the window with a tranquil and calm expression as he turned the ring on his ring finger. There wasn’t even a hint of him being flustered and exasperated, much less being furious

It was as if he knew everything inside and out, and it was all under his control.

Arriving at the airport at 4:30 PM, Lu Beichuan pushed open the door and walked to the boarding gate for Ye Zhen’s 5PM flight. There were streams of people coming and going at the airport.

Dragging her rolling suitcase, Ye Zhen arrived at the boarding gate and sat down to wait for her flight. After finding out that she was pregnant, Ye Zhen wasn’t willing to stay here for even an extra second. She had Father Ye purchase the earliest ticket possible.

A growing number of people started to stand in a long line at the boarding gate. Ye Zhen got up from her seat. Dragging her rolling suitcase, she walked to the end of the line. Listening to the boarding plane announcements, Ye Zhen’s heart calmed down as she followed after the people ahead of her in line.

Soon, she would be totally free. When the time came, she would find a place where she didn’t know anyone and give birth to this child. Without that great villain around, she would definitely be able to educate and raise her child well by herself.

When there were only five people in front of her in the line, Ye Zhen took out her boarding pass and her ID card. Just as she was going to hand this to the flight attendant, she heard a solid set of footsteps behind her.

Ye Zhen instinctively turned to look; she saw Lu Beichuan. He was dressed in a black suit, and his face was set in a dark and deep expression. He looked very imposing, and there were also two bodyguards standing behind him and dressed in suits. He was walking straight towards her.

Seeing this sight, Ye Zhen’s heartbeat accelerated. Cold sweat gathered on her back.
