“I’ve never dated anyone. I didn’t drop or skip any classes. I didn’t notice when someone confessed to me.” Lu Beichuan intimately laughed by her ear. “Are you satisfied?”

Ye Zhen’s ears had always been sensitive spots. When his warm breath blew into her ear, it felt as if he was scratching her heart. Trembling once, Ye Zhen fiercely glared at him for acting like this in front of other people.

This display of intimate behavior and undisguised flaunting of their relationship caused Shen Weiyin’s smile to stiffen. The mask of geniality that she had been wearing all night was almost ripped off.

Ye Zhen quietly reached her hand into Lu Beichuan’s suit jacket and pinched his waist to tell him to knock if off. She changed the topic by saying, “I’m quite interested in the entertainment industry though.”

“Oh? Mrs. Lu is interested in the entertainment industry?” Shen Weiyin tidied up her emotions and looked at Ye Zhen from top to bottom. “I think with your qualifications and given time, you’ll definitely be liked by the audiences if you enter the entertainment industry.”

Ye Zhen waved her hand. “Even though I’m interested in the entertainment industry, I didn’t attend a proper film academy. As for being a celebrity, never mind that idea. I’m not interested or qualified.”

Shen Weiyin smiled. “I didn’t attend a film academy either. Acting isn’t something that requires innate skill. It’s a skill that can be learned.”

She paused. “Moreover, Mrs. Lu, you’re still young. Don’t you want your own career? Mrs. Lu, you don’t do any work of your own, right? In my opinion, no matter how well a woman marries, if she doesn’t have a career of her own, she would still be failing at life.”
