american wedding by frank ocean blasted through out my beats as i roamed the kitchen occupying myself by making an batch of cookies. (what can i say, im just a girl)

its been about 2 days since the night at the bar and all i could think about was her; she had consumed my mind and it was eating me alive.

brandon and i ended up having an silly argument about it saying i made him look bad huddled up in a booth with lesbian and got even more mad when i told him that everything wasn't about him.

i told eden (my best friend and roommate) about it and she's been nothing but supportive: she knew about Brandon and how much it meant for me to make my family happy.

she never judged me or made me feel like i was stupid though i knew i was, she was always there for me and ill always be thankful for eden.

the door slammed door revealing the queen herself, "SYD MY LOVELY BESTIE WESTIE", she squealed hugging me tight and i smiled softly before pushing her off me because this only meant one thing.

"what do you want eden?", i asked with an stern tone taking an lick of the cookie batter leaning against the kitchen counter with my hand on my poked out hip.

she only smiled before digging into her tote bag and pulling out two tickets. "i know, i know you hateeee going out but please its the first game of the season and its going to be so so fun but i cant go alone.... will you please go to this basketball with me?", she pleaded crossing her fingers and staring up at the ceiling as she waited for my answer.

i sighed and mumbled out an soft, "fine", but she started to jump around and squeal out of an excitement. "HOLY SMOKES THIS IS GONNA BE SO FUN, ILL EVEN BUY US POPCORN", she ran into her room. i giggled softly at her sight before turning my attention back to my cookies and the amazing frank ocean.

the arena was filled with uconn students dressed in huskies apparel, eden and i squeezed our way through the huddle of people with the thick cups of popcorn in our hands.

"i got us an hookup because i know you can't see far away anddd i wanted to be closer to see the ladies ya know", she winked and i shook my head softly.

the game was about to start and as i scanned the court i froze as i seen an familiar figure. "eden", i started but she continue to cheer like the other fans around me.

there she was dressed in the white dressed with the large number 5 printed on both sides... the girl from the bar who've been on my mind.

the whole game i watched her play and i remember from the bar when she described herself in 3 words that she was absolutely right because she displayed all of them on the court.

i knew nothing about basketball but we won with an 15 point lead, the whole time eden was trying her best to explain but quickly gave up when she realized i wasn't even paying attention.

"come on, let's go get pictures with the team", she said and i froze shaking my head slightly. "i-no no you go I'll wait here", i say but she shook her head. "no you'll regret it later", she pulled me by my arm softly leading me the court.

as we walked closer and closer i started to get goosebumps knowing she was right there. "hi, im eden and this is my best friend sydney", eden introduced his to the team and as soon as she heard my name she turnt around meeting eyes with me.

her icy blue eyes staring into my brown soft eyes as much I've said before she still looked beautiful with sweat beads dropping down her face and fly away from her ponytail sticking up along with her jersey that she untucked from her shorts.

i expected her to act cold towards me but she quickly painted an smile on her face. it didn't take an genius to sense the vibe between us which cause eden to clear her throat making my tear my eyes apart from the girl.

"sorry to interpret, we just wanted an quick picture if that's okay", eden said and paige nodded her head. "yeah yeah... that's fine". She said and eden smiled waving me to come over as she stood by paige side.

i hesitated an bit before paige let out an soft chuckle, "come on, I don't bite... i promise". i walked by her side keeping an bit of space between us as someone snapped the picture on eden phone but Paige wrapped her arm around my waist pulling me slightly close to her side.

"nice seeing you stranger ", she whisper into my ear still keeping an smile on her face for the picture. i hummed, "you too".
