Zhao Chuchu sighed as she had no idea what to say.

Just like the original Zhao Chuchu, Zhao Meilan was a lady who was bullied a lot.

Everyone could hear the desperation in Madam He’s voice.

That was Madam He’s first time fighting back and it astonished Old Madam Ma a lot.

In the end, the old lady was the type who always bullied the weak while cowering to the strong.

“Just like you said, my life is worthless. It wouldn’t be that bad to drag all of you down to hell with me then. Let me warn you. Both of us are willing to do anything for our Meilan. Try me if you don’t believe me!” Madam He continued to roar.

Yet, the old lady did not expect a cold response from her son. “You guys are the ones who forced her. If the worst comes to the worst, we can just find Meilan a husband and we’ll drag all of you to hell with us. Our lives aren’t worth anything anyway!”

Zhao Guitang’s eyes had already turned completely red from anger. It was as if he would actually try and kill them.

Both Old Madam Ma and Madam Zhu screamed as their hearts skipped a beat. They quickly turned and ran.

Although it looked as if Madam He was aimlessly waving the knife around, if one were to look closely, she was just trying to scare the uninvited guests.

Old Madam Ma did not expect that her daughter-in-law would actually resort to killing once she was pushed past the breaking point.

The old lady was a very timid person. Naturally, she was afraid of getting killed as well.

The two of them immediately dashed out of the house.

Zhao Meilan ran out of the kitchen and helped her mother up. “Mom, are you alright?”

“I’m fine…” Madam He sounded exhausted. “Guitang, the divorce… I’m okay with it…”

After saying that, she felt as if her soul had already left her.

“What nonsense are you talking about? Why would I even divorce you?” Zhao Guitang approached his wife with the help of his walking cane. “I’m sorry for putting you in such a position. Don’t worry. I will never divorce you. They can do whatever they want. It wouldn’t matter to us.”

On the other hand, Madam Zhou came out of the room.
