What's That Supposed To Mean? - Werewolf Romance

HEY GUYS!

Sorry I havent updated in a while. THOUGH, I want you to know that I've read every single comment and I LOVE AND APPRECIATE IT soooooooo so much! Thank you for taking your time at all to even comment and write and like and vote, not only just reading. It means alot to me. Thank you.

As you maybe know(?) this story is slowly coming to an end. As I said before, this isnt a PLANNED story so whenever I feel like writing on it, I do and whatever comes up, I write. Then I see if I'm "pleased" with it haha but anyways, I don't have much more imagination for THIS story... so it IS coming to an end.. I just want to make a small dramatic moment before they have their little "the end" :)

So anyway, my dear readers, enjoy chapter 39. This is as far as I have gotten in ANY story! Lol, its scary and amazing and its all thanks to you guys.

P.S

Sorry if all my "drama" moments are so boring, I really am not good at those. I always write about the same thing lol but I wanted to update and this is what I have for this chappie :)

Chapter 39

I woke up to chaos. It wasn't in the room but I could hear it. The running around downstairs, the nervous breathing and the hushed worried discussions. I blinked, opening my eyes. A very bad feeling settled in my body. I threw myself out of the bed, waking up Noah as I did. He immediately knew. We exchanged a worried look before running downstairs, meeting Thresh on the stairs.

“What's going on?” I asked loudly, wanting the answer right away. My father, Uncle John and Mason and Caleb stopped doing whatever they were doing and looked at the three of us on the staircase, waiting. The twins came out from their bedroom, confused and worried.

“They've taken Jacob,” my father answered. To say that my heart made a doubleflip is an understatement. It made a freaking tenflip, if I put it that way.

“How?!” Noah roared.

“When?!” I added, horrified of the image of someone taking Jacob and doing God knows what to him.

“They left a note on his bed. We found it just five minutes ago.”

“What does it say?” Thresh asked quietly, in shock.

They all looked anxious, avioding my eyes. I knew then what the note had said. A growled escaped my lips as I ran back upstairs, in to the bathroom, freshened up and then got dressed in clean clothes. I put my hear up in a ponytail and ignored everyone as I marched down the stairs and towards the front door.

“If it's me they want in exchange for Jacob, it's me they'll get.”

I threw the door open, hearing the crack I made. I was stopped by no other than Noah as he spun me around, the look on his face telling me that he thought I was crazy.

“What the hell are you doing?!” he asked with a growl. I snapped my arm back. I'd lost it; I knew that. I couldn't take this anymore. The one thing I didn't want to happen, happened. They had taken one of my loved ones because of me.

“I'm sick of this!” I yelled, probably waking the whole pack as my voice echoed in the air. “This is it! I made it clear that none of you were going to participate in this, willingly or not! And now they've taken Jacob and I will not stand here and plan something while they are probably torturing him!”

“You can't go out there alone, you'll get killed!” Noah roared back. In the back of my mind, I registered that everyone in the pack were indeed awake and had stepped out all around us now, watching us in silence. The rest of Noah's family and my father were standing a few feet behind him, all of their faces horrified.

“This is the last drop,” I told Noah more calmly, anger dripping from every word. “I'm going to make them pay, whether I make it out alive or not.”

“You're not doing this by yourself, Samantha and that's final.”

“It's me they want, Noah, not you, not Mason, not Jacob, but ME!” I roared, the loudest I'd ever yelled at anyone before.

Samantha, calm down.

I felt the shifting coming closer in anger and held back, taking deep breaths. Noah didn't even flinch as I yelled and roared and growled at him and for that I loved him, but I wasn't going to stand here and argue when I could go and save Jacob.

“I don't care if it's you they want,” Noah said in a quiet voice, taking a few steps towards me. I looked at him warningly. He wasn't going to stop me.

“Well, I do. And Jacob is not going to suffer because of me. I don't care what any of you say, I'm going. I love you, but I'm going. And you can't stop me.”

“Samantha, don't do anything stupid,” A new voice said gently, concerned. I glanced at Victor, whom I actually hadn't seen in quite a while.

“Sam, please..”

Noah shook his head, his eyes pleading. He reached out his hand slowly towards me, as if I was some kind of wild animal. I probably looked like one, even if I was still in my human form. There was practically steam coming out of my ears.

“Noah, don't.” Tears filled my eyes. Whether it was of rage or of sadness, I didn't know, but they were slowly building up. “They're going to hurt him and it's my fault.”

“Just wait,” he begged. “Let us come up with a quick plan and we'll send the entire pack. Just wait. You know I'd rather kill myself than let you go without me.”

I was getting calmer. The red I was seeing was slowly drifting away and my breathing slowed down. He was right. It would be better if we had a plan and sent the entire pack on mission instead of going myself and risking both mine and Jacob's lives. I nodded and took Noah's hand. He immediately sighed of relief and pulled me to his chest, squeezing me against him.

I felt him wave his hand behind me.

“Get to work!” He yelled to everyone. Then he embraced me again. I felt so small in his arms, like he was holding my entire body, my entire being in his arms.

“I'm sorry I snapped,” I murmured between his shoulder and neck. He shook his head.

“Don't be. Just take deep breaths. Your emotions are highetened, remember?” He chuckled. “We'll find him, I promise. He's my brother, I won't stop until he's right here where we are.”

I nodded, pressing back my tears. Oh, how I hated crying. I let out a bitter laugh as I pulled back a little, face to face with my mate.

“We get one back and we lose another. I'm so sick of this.”

“As soon as we get rid of these evil packs, we'll be fine, I promise. Don't freak out, baby, okay?”

“Okay.” I said, smiling half-heartedly. “I'm good. I'm calm. Let's get to work.”

Noah grinned and gave me a peck on the lips. “Let's go.”

We worked, indeed.

Every single person that belonged to the pack was working, whether it was discussing positions for every one, checking the map of our town, making sure we had everything we need, planning on how to attack – they were all working. My father and Uncle John and Noah and I, being the past and future Alpha's, were walking around, making sure everything was getting done and checking on how everyone was doing on their work. If they had questions or anything else, they asked us. Arianna walked with me, her arm entwined with mine.

I was anxious. We were all anxious. I glanced around; my father was talking to a few men in the pack that were working on the map. He was nodding and explaining and pointing at something on the map. Uncle John, still being quite weak, had gotten a wheelchair, much to his dismay, and rolled around in that as he was checking on everything. My eyes moved on to Noah and Victor who were talking and it seemed that their conversation was private the way they were leaning down towards each other, speaking in hushed voices.

“Aaron, what are you doing here?”

Arianna's surprised voice got my attention and I turned around, only to find Aaron and his entire pack behind him. What the...?

“We want to help.”

“What?” I breathed out.

“We do, too.”

My eyes landed on Leona and Leo and their pack. My eyes pretty much rolled out this time.

“I heard what happened to Jacob and this time, we want to help. My pack has discussed this and we all agreed on that it's time we put a stop to this.”

“We want to end Liz and her evil plans and we want to be there for you and your pack,” Leona said after Aaron. I looked between them; I was shocked and surprised but nevertheless, I was very thankful. It was so brave and amazing of them.

“This is... thank you,” I said. “I don't think you know how thankful we are.”

“We're helping friends in need,” Leona's father said with a smile.

I nodded and smiled brightly. “Please, see my father and Uncle John and they will let you know everything you need to know.”

The all nodded and passed us. They were so many, Leona's pack and Aaron's pack together with our pack was going to be huge and definitely a bigger help. Maybe no one had to lose their life after all? Hopefully, no one would.

Arianna got herself a kiss before Aaron went and she smiled, though surprise was clear on her face.

“Your man sure is amazing,” I commented with a grin.

“This is so good!” she burst. “Not only will he get a reward for this,” she blinked and I pretended to gag,” but we'll have more luck in finding Jake and attacking Liz and her evil people!”

I laughed, glad that Arianna was still the same old excited and happy girl she always was. I excused myself, letting her go to Aaron and went to my own mate as well. I didn't want to interrupt Noah and Victor but they heard me several feet away. I smiled sheepishly and they nodded, telling me to come over.

“What's going on?” I asked them.

“Vic and I have a plan,” Noah said.

“And of course, you being you, you're apart of it,” Victor added with a grin.

“I like this, keep going,” I said, smirking. If they had thought about including me before I had a say in this, I would like the idea before they even said anything.

“Well,” Noah started, “while the pack attacks and goes in, they pretty much get all the attention. So while that goes on, we three are going in through another door and we're getting Jake out of there.”

“There will probably be some guards there, so suit up for a fight, cutie,” Victor said, smirking evilly. I nodded, liking this. This had to work; if it didn't, I don't know what would.

“Have you found that “other door”?” I asked.

“We're working on it. But there is one, there always is one.”

“Otherwise you two can go in through that one and I can go in through the same window I went out of.” I knew Noah would hate this idea but I still put it out there.

“Sounds pretty go-”

“No,” Noah interrupted Victor. “Not a chance.”

“Bro, we both know she can fix this,” Victor said. “Come on, this is for your brother.”

“Fine, but you're going with her and I'll go through the door.”

Victor and I shared a look and then nodded.

“Deal.”
