Chapter 964
Lord Protector Novel
Lucius shouted, âMia, have you thought things through? Do you want to join me now? Unfortunately, youâd rejected my offer earlier, making me very upset. Youâll have to apologize to me and insult Zeke before I decide to forgive you.â
Mia hurriedly explained, âYou think too highly of yourself. Iâve got no interest in working with you.â
Everyone felt pity for her.
This girl is good at everything, but sheâs simply too headstrong.
If sheâs able to trim her sails to the wind, grabbing hold of this opportunity, she would definitely become the top gun in the entertainment industry.
Upon being rejected by Mia for the second time, Lucius grew furious. âHmph, when the military project is done, youâll truly understand what regret means. On the other hand, you, Zeke Williams; the day this project completes, is the day youâll go bankrupt. When that time comes, I donât mind sending someone over, to help you move out of your building.â
Zeke appeared calm as he ignored Lucius, heading over to sit down with a glass of red wine in hand.
A man wearing a suit walked out from the crowd and jeered, âIf you want them to feel regret, thereâs no need to wait for the project to be completed. Now is good enough. Zeke Williams, the deadline for the order Iâd commissioned Trust Media is tonight. As far as I know, your employees have already quit, so Iâm afraid that this order wonât be finished on time. How about this? Bow and apologize to Mr.
Johansson right now, and Iâll stop myself from pursuing legal action.â
These words came as a bolt from the blue.
One after another, bigshots from the film industry who had collaborations with Trust Media stood up.
âThe deadline for our film editing job weâd given you is tomorrow. Unfortunately, your film editor has defected over to Mr. Johanssonâs side. How are you gonna finish it? If you donât want to go to jail, kneel and beg for Mr. Johanssonâs forgiveness now!â
âIâd also commissioned a post-dubbing job...â
âMy film marketing job...â
In an instant, Trust Media became the target of verbal attack.
Mia wished that the ground could swallow her whole. I wouldnât have come if I knew that this would happen!
Surprisingly, Zeke remained composed. âDonât worry, your orders will be completed by the deadlines, as promised earlier. Anyway, I have another project that I would like to open to all of you. The Great Marshal has commissioned our company to produce a military film, as a means of promoting the military. If anyoneâs interested, just let Ms. Mia Young know, and sheâll register your interest. Itâll be first-
come, first-served, so if you register too late, you might miss the chance.â
The crowd exchanged glances.
Then, they burst into a mocking laugh.
âHahaha, Iâm dying of laughter. The Great Marshal has commissioned your company to make a film?
Does he think your company is Hollywood quality?â
âThe Great Marshal is an important man who has a busy itinerary every day. He wouldnât have had the time to pay the film industry any attention.â
âI canât believe heâd actually try, to bluff us, for the mere sake of fulfilling his own pride!â
âHeâs simply imitating Mr. Johansson, who actually has a military project. Since heâs green with jealousy, he has no choice, other than to boast his lungs out!â
Zeke shrugged. âWell, since you guys arenât interested, Iâll blacklist your names then. Mia, take their names down and disallow them from joining the Great Marshalâs project in the future.â
Haha!
The crowd laughed even harder, upon hearing his words.
Mia felt utterly embarrassed.
Boss, may I quit my job temporarily?
Impatience rose in Luciusâ chest as he announced, âEveryone, please have a seat. Letâs not waste any more time on him. We have more pressing matters to attend to.â
Yeah, thatâs right!
Everyone then took their seats and stared at Lucius eagerly.
Lucius began explaining, âI have three collaboration proposals here. You may choose to contribute by money, manpower, or talent. Here are the three respective types of contracts. Everyone, please have a look and choose which type of collaboration youâd like best.â
