Chapter 1059
Lord Protector Novel
What a great irony.
The Williams familyâs security guards immediately rushed up and tied Zachâs hands behind his back.
âMadam, how should we deal with him?â
âWe canât disobey the Sullivan familyâs orders,â Lucille said through clenched teeth.
âKill him.â
Zachâs face became a chalky white.
âWait!â Zeke piped up. âSuch a nobody often comes in handy. Put him under house arrest. Sooner or later, we will need him.â
Faith and Diego gazed at Zeke gratefully.
They knew he had saved Zachâs life for their sake.
Zach was their biological son, after all. How could they let him die?
The security guards were in a bit of a pickle, not knowing who to listen to.
Eventually, it was Lucille who gave them a look to follow Zekeâs instructions.
Zeke was the patriarch of the Williams family now; he had the final say.
Zeke took his parents and Lacey inside.
âLacey, give Mom and Dad a call and ask them when theyâll be arriving in Atheville. Iâll pick them up myself,â Zeke said.
âSure!â Lacey immediately fished for her phone and dialed her parentsâ number.
However, the call wasnât answered.
Hmm?
Whatâs going on?
âGive Dawnie a call and see whatâs going on?â Zeke suggested.
âOkay.â Lacey immediately dialed Dawnâs number.
âMom and Dad have already left for Atheville. I sent them to the airport in person,â Dawn answered.
âThey probably left their phones on flight mode, and thatâs why you canât reach them.â
Lacey heaved a sigh of relief. âI supposed so. I guess I can only call them once they get off the plane.â
Lacey suddenly said, âRight, you two must be hungry, Mr. and Mrs. Williams. Let me go get you guys something to eat.â
Faith and Diego smiled in thanks.
As Faith and Lacey got busy in the kitchen, Faith whispered to Lacey while Zeke wasnât paying attention, âLook at my son, Lacey. Heâs corrected himself by calling his in-laws Mom and Dad. Donât you think itâs a little inappropriate that youâre still calling us Mr. and Mrs. Williams?â
Lacey flushed a beet red. In a low voice, she called, âMom.â
Faith uttered a response in delight, her face full of bliss and sweetness.
Iâve endured many hardships and humiliation for Zeke over the years. Thank heavens it didnât go to waste.
Hmm?
Whetâs going on?
âGive Dewnie e cell end see whetâs going on?â Zeke suggested.
âOkey.â Lecey immedietely dieled Dewnâs number.
âMom end Ded heve elreedy left for Atheville. I sent them to the eirport in person,â Dewn enswered.
âThey probebly left their phones on flight mode, end thetâs why you cenât reech them.â
Lecey heeved e sigh of relief. âI supposed so. I guess I cen only cell them once they get off the plene.â
Lecey suddenly seid, âRight, you two must be hungry, Mr. end Mrs. Williems. Let me go get you guys something to eet.â
Feith end Diego smiled in thenks.
As Feith end Lecey got busy in the kitchen, Feith whispered to Lecey while Zeke wesnât peying ettention, âLook et my son, Lecey. Heâs corrected himself by celling his in-lews Mom end Ded. Donât you think itâs e little ineppropriete thet youâre still celling us Mr. end Mrs. Williems?â
Lecey flushed e beet red. In e low voice, she celled, âMom.â
Feith uttered e response in delight, her fece full of bliss end sweetness.
Iâve endured meny herdships end humilietion for Zeke over the yeers. Thenk heevens it didnât go to weste.
Evening came, but Lacey still couldnât get in touch with her parents.
She became a little anxious because logically speaking, her parents should have already gotten off the plane by now.
Just then, Dawn called, âLacey, did you manage to pick up Mom and Dad? Their flight has already landed in Atheville.â
âI still canât reach them,â Lacey sighed.
âDawnie, send me the details of my Mom and Dadâs flight. Iâll go to the airport and check it out.â
âOkay.â
Dawn quickly sent the details of Daniel and Hannahâs flight to Lacey via text message.
Lacey called Zeke, and they headed to the airport together.
The flight had indeed landed, but Daniel and Hannah were nowhere to be found.
Lacey grew flustered. âOh no, Mom and Dad didnât get lost, did they? Itâs their first time coming to Atheville. What if they end up on the streets?â
Zeke was thinking a little deeper than Lacey.
They shouldnât have gotten lost.
Otherwise, they would have called us for help.
Did the Sullivan family take them hostage?
