Chapter 616
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
âCan you come over now? We still havenât figured out the best surgical plan.â
None of those guys can hold a candle to Caden. All theyâve got on duty were greenhorns.
They were not as experienced as Caden. They might be debating, but the final say was still in Cadenâs
hands.
Caden didnât have any better ideas either. This case hadnât been seen at home yet.
The patientâs family had been to many hospitals. They ended up at Hope Hospital. If even Hope
Hospital canât treat him, thereâs practically no hospital in the country that would dare to take this case.
âItâs a critical situation.â
If he didnât have 100% assurance, he wouldnât be calling in the middle of the night; disturbing her rest.
âIâm on my way.â
As soon as Arabella said this, Romeo gave her fingers a squeeze, a look of jealousy and warning in his
eyes.
Arabella gently stroked his head, telling him to cut it out. This was a matter of life and death so there
was no room for fooling around.
But Romeo turned his face away, apparently miffed.
âDo you need any other doctors? I can call them. Who do you need? Iâll get them over right away.â
Itâs nighttime and most doctors were gone, just a few interns left in the ER.
âNo need. Youâll do.â
Cadenâs words made Romeo even more jealous. He squeezed Arabellaâs hand, daring her to say it
again.
âShould I have a friend pick you up from school?â Caden had to stay and monitor the patient. At this
hour, heâs the only doctor who can help.
âNo need. Iâll get there myself.â
Romeo was even more pissed off.
After Arabella hung up, she saw Romeoâs anger. She took his hand and gave it a gentle shake.
His anger was somewhat placated by her gesture, which became softer.

âDo you think itâs appropriate to leave your fiancé in the middle of the night to meet another man?â
âRomeo.â
âI donât want to hear your explanation.â Romeo seemed to have decided not to let her go..
âYouâre misunderstanding.â Arabella took his hand and briefly explained the situation.
Her soft little hand made his anger disappear.
âIf I donât participate in this surgery, relying only on him, the risk is indeed high.â
Although the surgery was not complicated, the few people in the hospital at this time were not skilled
enough.
âYouâre not a hospital employee.â Romeo was still upset. âAnd youâre on your period so you should
rest.â
âI donât feel uncomfortable.â Arabella wanted to involve Romeo to reassure him, âYou can come with
me.â
âWhat can I do?â
He canât perform surgery. Would he just stand by and watch them talk in medical jargon and share
insights? That would make him feel worse.
âYou can supervise me and see if I behave improperly or if Iâm being flirtatious with other men.â
Romeo was amused by her.
Seizing the opportunity, Arabella said, âHeâs been taking care of my grandma all along. We havenât
been dating in private.â
Their communication was all about medicine, with no personal feelings involved.
âIâm aware of his intentions towards you.â
Romeo had noticed the way Caden looked at Arabella before. Those eyes clearly showed a love that
he wanted to control but couldnât, mixed with restraint and
pain.
âWho would dare compete with you for your fiancée?â Arabella stood up, took his hand, and said,
âCome on, go with me.â
