Chapter 417
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
âMe, I mean weâre out of this business from now on, never to be involved in this sort of thing again!â
The guy was so terrified that tears streamed down his face. Panicked, he forgot his dignity and knelt
down to beg, âPlease, have mercy and let us go!â
Romeo sneered, âYou should be grateful sheâs here.â
Everyone shivered in fear. Did Romeo mean that if it werenât for the girlâs presence, he would have
killed them all to avoid scaring her?
Who was this girl? Some rich familyâs darling daughter?
If they had known, they would have kidnapped her instead! Romeo was too hard to deal with! A girl
would have been an easier target. This was what the assassins were thinking.
Romeo stood up, pulled out his phone and called Carl, âNeed you to come over and handle
something.â
As soon as he finished speaking, he noticed someone trying to sneak away.
âWho said you could move?â
The guy was so scared he nearly lost his soul. He quickly lay back down, shivering uncontrollably.
Only then did Romeo walk over to Arabella and hold her hand, gently saying, âDonât be scared. Iâm
here.â
He looked her over, âAre you hurt?â
Arabella shook her head.
Once he was sure she wasnât injured, Romeo scooped her up in his arms, his gaze falling on the
people on the ground, âStay down, all of you.â
If he found anyone missing later, everyone else could forget about living!
The assassins had no words. They wanted to escape but couldnât move. Romeo had been too forceful
earlier, and several of them had broken ribs, and many parts of their bodies were injured.
Every little movement was agonizing. How could they run away?
Arabella was carried out of the secret room by Romeo. She whispered, âPut me down. I can walk.â
âItâs dark here. If you fall, Iâll be devastated.â
âIâll be careful.â She wasnât blind. She could walk this little distance even with her eyes closed!
Romeo was treating her like a child.
âWhat if thereâs more danger?â Romeo carried her step by step. Just behave. Once weâre out, Iâll put
you down.â
Arabella looked up at his chiselled jaw, âYou werenât hurt, were you?â
âAre you worried about me?â Romeo grinned, âI wish I got hurt a bit. That way, youâd have to care for
my wounds and worry about me.â
Arabella denied it, âI couldnât care less about you.â.
âEven if hurt, I canât earn your concern?â Romeo rubbed his face against hers, âYou naughty girl.â
Why was it so hard to earn her attention?
Romeo carried her out of the haunted house. Carl followed closely and brought people over.
âMr. McMillian, are you and Ms. Bella okay?â
âWeâre fine.â
âThatâs good.â Carl breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, there was no major incident!
He quickly took his people inside to clean up.â
Meanwhile, the amusement park manager, the head of security in the area, and other senior
executives hurried over and kept bowing and apologizing.
âMr. Romeo, I failed to notice people posing as a staff trying to attack you. Iâm truly sorry, and this is
completely my fault.â
âIâm so glad youâre okay! If anything had happened to you here, I wouldnât be able to apologize even if I
died!â
âMr. Romeo, I admit my negligence. I must take responsibility for the security issues here!â
Romeo glanced at them coldly, saying indifferently, âI know.â
Those two executives and the people following them were scared. They kept their heads down, afraid
of Romeoâs anger.
What should they do? Mr. Romeo and his girlfriend were nearly in danger, and their apologies seemed
to do no good!
