Chapter 359
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
âBella, grab a seat here.â Louisa gestured for Arabella to sit on the chair placed between two hospital
beds.
After seating, Bella naturally placed her hand on her Grandpaâs wrist and said, âGrandpa, weâre all
hoping for your speedy recovery.â
She then placed her other hand on her Grandmaâs wrist and said, âGrandma, can you hear me?â
Her gestures didnât slip past Hansâ notice.
He was wondering: was his sister checking on their grandparentsâ condition?
Even though he heard that she saved Phillip before, their grandparentsâ condition seemed worse than
Phillipâs, and even the best doctor was helpless about it. Louisa didnât notice her daughterâs unusual
actions. She placed her hand on the bed edge, whispering, âWho would have thought that fire 18 years
ago took Bella away in the thick smoke? Thank God, she came back to me after 18 years. You have no
idea how smart Bella is; sheâs young and yet capable of running a company, totally living up to your
prime time!â
Louisa chuckled and then continued, âThis must be genetic; we Collins family folks have the knack for
business. That clothing company was on the brink of bankruptcy, but after Bella took over, it bounced
back and even gained the support of many employees!â
Kenneth sat by Grandpaâs bedside, feeling a bit choked up. âDad, Louisa is right. You really should see
Bella; she is beautiful, smart, businessâsavvy, knows music, and even designs clothes; thereâs nothing
sheâs not goodiat! If you wake up and see such a granddaughter, you will be thrilled!â
Even though he said all that, he wasnât sure if the old man could hold on till he woke up.
Thinking about it, Kenneth felt even more choked up, and the urge to cry was overwhelming.
âDad, rest assured, the medical team is doing their best; Grandpa and Grandma will wake up.â Hans
said, glancing at Arabella, âand Bella is here.â
Serena felt a bit upset seeing everyone praising Arabella. She cried and suddenly leaned on the bed
edge.
âGrandma, when will you wake up and talk to me? I miss you hugging me, smiling, and praising me,
saying Iâm your favorite granddaughter. Every little achievement of mine, every praise from the teacher,
you would be proud of me!â
Serena lifted her tearâstreaked face and said, âIf all my progress and all my honors need to be
exchanged for your health, then Iâd rather be a nobody, an unknown. As long as you can be with me
as when I was little, smiling and talking to me, I would give up everything!â
Arabella looked at Serena with disgust. Wouldnât all this crying disrupt the patientâs rest?
âGrandma, can you hear me? You donât even want to care about your most beloved, proudest, and
favorite granddaughter? Even if I cry like this, you wonât feel bad?
Grandma.â
Serena leaned on the bed again, sobbing, âWhen I was little, you would hold me and wipe my tears,
saying my tears are the worldâs most precious gem, and you would never forgive anyone who made me
cry! But now that your granddaughter is crying for you, you donât care?â
Arabella was speechless. Was there a need to keep emphasizing âgranddaughterâ?
âSerena, Grandma needs to rest.â Hans advised.
âIâm sorry, big brother, seeing Grandpa and Grandma suffer here makes my heart ache like itâs going to
stop.â
Hearing her say that, Kennethâs eyes welled up. He too was heartbroken about his parentsâ suffering,
and he didnât know when these hardships would end. Serena sobbed, looking at her grandparents in
sorrow. âI was looking forward to holding your hands and strolling with you like we used to. You always
said I was too focused on my studies and didnât have time for you. Now that Iâm on summer break, I
have plenty of time for you; Iâm willing to do anything as long as you wake up!â
