Chapter 182
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
Arabella had barely been in the office for a while when someone knocked on the door.
âCome in.â
âMs. Bennett.â It was Molly who walked in, a bag in her hand and a cheery smile on her face. âThis is
the cheesecake my mom made this morning. She insisted I deliver it to you. Youâve been a huge help
to us; we canât thank you enough.â Molly handed the bag to her, still smiling.
âTell your mom I said thanks.â Arabella opened the bag to find a box with a cake and a cup.
Arabella was a little puzzled. Whatâs in the cup?
âItâs fresh juice!â Molly beamed, âMy mom got up early to make it.â
Arabella took a bite of the cake and asked, âTastes great.â
Then Molly opened the cup for her, saying, âEnjoy! I wonât disturb your work.â
Not long after she left, the aroma enticed Dean into the office.
âMs. Bennett.â
He patted his stomach; the smell of the cake was too tempting. He overslept this morning and hadnât
eaten breakfast yet. His stomach was growling.
âDo you want some?â Arabella raised an eyebrow.
âYes!â Dean looked at her hopefully, wishing she would share some with him.
âCome and get it.â Arabella generously offered.
Dean happily took a piece of the cake, and oh man, it was delicious!
Just then, Arabellaâs phone started vibrating. She glanced at the screen and saw it was a call from the
Piano Association.
âMs. Bennett, I wonât disturb you.â Dean knew she was busy and tactfully excused himself.
Arabella answered the call, âWhatâs up?â
âMs: Bennett, thereâs a piano award ceremony at the Paramount theater in a couple of days. We were
wondering if you could present an award for us.â
The voice on the other end was cautious: âWe mainly want to provide some encouragement to the
contestants, especially since we havenât had any big shots attend for the past three years.â
Leonard would never attend this kind of minor competitionâs award ceremony.
Even when the hosts of international competitions invited him numerous times, Leonard never showed
up!
Although the chance of a highâprofile figure like Arabella attending was slim,
They still held out hope: âMs. Bennett, please donât refuse. Could you consider it? If the contestants
hear that youâre coming, they would definitely work harder! Your presence would mean a lot to them!â
The National Piano Competition?
Arabella pondered: the first place was Serena, and the second was Yolanda.
She wasnât really into appearing in public.
âWeâll see.â
Her nonârefusal implied hope, and the caller was thrilled: âGreat, Iâll be waiting for your response.â
Lunchtime
Arabella didnât go out to eat with Romeo; instead, she headed straight for the hospital after work.
âBella, youâre finally here!â Caden was having lunch in his office. Seeing her, he immediately asked if
she had eaten.
