Chapter 1695
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
âIs she the doctor you guys have brought with you?â His gaze focused on the surveillance screen,
which shows a clear image of a pretty young woman. âHow old is she? She can lead a surgery
already?â
âSheâs Dr. Bell,â Steward informed him.
âThe famous, elusive Dr. Bell? Sheâs just a girl?â Derrick was intrigued. So many had assumed Dr. Bell
was some elder.
âSo, youâre saying she can extract the bullet from Seanâs heart?â
Given Dr. Bellâs presence, it shouldnât be a problem.
âDr. Bell is assuredly one hundred percent certain she can do it.â
Derrick looked impressed. Indeed, Dr. Bell sure knows how to make a promise.
And just how stunning might she be under that mask?
Derrick knew a bit about Seanâs condition. Back when it happened, none of the top doctors at the
hospital would guarantee a successful surgery. Yet, to his surprise, merely a few months later, they had
Dr. Bell ready to operate on Sean.
âAfter the surgery, Sean can recuperate at my hospital with ease. Iâll ensure he gets the best room and
top-notch care. I just want the guy back on his feet as soon as possible.â
âThank you, Mr. Finn,â Steward bowed in gratitude, âOn behalf of Sean, and all our people, we
appreciate your kindness.â
âThink nothing of it.â
Three hours later.
The bullet that had lodged itself in Seanâs heart was finally removed.
According to the available records, there had only been five cases worldwide of a person surviving a
gunshot to the heart. Sean was Solterraâs first.
âDr. Bellâs expertise is truly remarkable.â Dr. Anne said excitedly. âThereâs so much Iâve learned.â
âThe same here. Sean is incredibly fortunate.â Dr. Doreen added, relieved. âThat bullet had been in his
heart for months, and yet he managed to live almost normally in that time.â
âThe key thing is, Sean lived to be treated by Dr. Bell. Had it been with any of us, frankly, we wouldnât
have been as certain.â
âNow Sean can live without worries, nor the agonies of illness. Dr. Bell, how was Sean able to survive
after being shot?â Dr. Doreen asked earnestly.
Arabella responded coolly, âThe bullet didnât pierce the heart directly from the back of the chest cavity,
but entered at an angle into the heart muscle. It didnât penetrate the chamber or severely damage the
blood vessels in the heart muscle. Instead, it was over time encapsulated by the heart tissue. Thatâs
why Sean didnât suffer a fatal hemorrhage and has survived to this point.â
âI figured as much,â Dr. Anne added. âHad it struck a major vessel, he wouldnât have made it.â
Arabella nodded, affirming that assessment.
âDr. Bell, would you be willing to stay back to sign an autograph for me?â
âDr. Bell, may I have a photo with you? Also, I have some quick questions if you wouldnât mind, they
shouldnât take more than a few minutes.â
Arabella agreed.
After the photo opportunity, autograph signings, and answering their questions, Arabella removed her
scrubs, sanitized her hands, and stepped out of the OR.
The doors to the OR swung open, and Dr. Anne and Dr. Doreen wheeled Sean out. Steward rushed
forward, âSean.â
âHeâs still under anesthesia. He should come around in a couple of hours.â
Upon hearing Arabellaâs words, Steward and his crew gathered around her. âWe apologize, Dr. Bell, but
we need you to stay until Sean regains consciousness.â
