At the villa.

Cheng Juan glanced at Cheng Wenru and then reached for his jacket. “I haven’t been to the company in three months. I’ll go take a look at the accounts.”

Cheng Juan was now standing in to do something for them.

In the past, if Cheng Wenru heard him say this, she’d surely be happy. But at this point, she couldn’t bring herself to cheer up.

Her emotions were a mess.

But Cheng Juan was a smart man. Cheng Wenru didn’t want him to suspect anything if she came up with an excuse, so she simply said “Sure” and sipped her tea.

“We’re heading to the company. Want to come along?” Cheng Juan asked her.

She looked up and nodded.

Cheng Juan turned back and grabbed a jacket for her.

They left in two cars.

A while later, they arrived at Cheng Wenru’s workplace.

“Master Juan, Miss Qin.” Secretary Li greeted. He noticed Cheng Juan’s expression and was a little shocked.

“Bring this quarter’s accounts over.” Cheng Wenru glanced at him.

Secretary Li immediately got to it.

“This is my office. Ran Ran, it’s your first time here, isn’t it?” Cheng Wenru got someone to get her a glass of milk.

They sat on the black couch by the window.

Cheng Juan casually placed the accounts on his lap as he flipped through the pages. He was going rather quickly.

Qin Ran was watching him.

“Want a look?” Cheng Juan looked up and asked her.

Qin Ran shook her head and drank the milk.

They talked every once in a while.

Then, someone knocked on the door. It was the assistant. He stood at the door and said, “Eldest Lady, Mr. Nie is here.”

Cheng Wenru got up and said clearly, “Wait for me in the meeting room, I’ll be right over.”

The assistant acknowledged what she’d said and left.

Only after that did Cheng Wenru look towards Cheng Juan. She thought about it for a long while before finally saying, “Third Bro, take Ran Ran with you to Continent M.”

Qin Ran blinked several times and looked up at her. “Sister Cheng?”

“So much has been going on lately, both of you should catch a breather in Continent M. It’d be even better if you both could get a few more powers in support of the Cheng family while you’re there.” Cheng Wenru seemed calm and firm as usual.

The Nie family wanted Cheng Juan to go over to treat their Old Master, but it couldn’t be all that simple.

Cheng Wenru shook her head.
