A Year with Mr. Arrogant 5

A Year With Mr. Arrogant (2011)

Abrielle

He pulled away from me, and gazed at me for a few seconds, probably to see how I would react. I couldn't even say anything except think; What just happened. His lips, his touch, his smell, his taste; all made me want more, but I knew I had to stand my ground, I still didn't like his arrogance, other wise he'd control me even more.

Ace finally turned against me and started to head towards the exit, my eyes followed him, and I wanted to say something. I just kept my mouth shut because, if I speak, he'll assume something.

~

One Month Later

I look up at the villa I'd be living in with that asshole. This whole school week, I was surprised that no one has done or said anything to me. Except Cassidy, but her little posse kept quiet. If everyone could keep quiet, why couldn't she? I don't get why she is so mad at me. Its not like I was stealing Ace from her, cause that's the last thing I would do. However, something told me that Ace didn't like Cassidy.

Anyway, I was standing in front of the villa, idiotically gaping at it. The whole house was mostly made out of glass windows and doors. Suddenly, I flinched when someone blows wind into my ear, "lets go, darling."

Ace.

"You asshole!" I shout at him, hitting him on his back with my tote bag I carried, as he made his way up to the front door.

"Hey!" He cried out," That's how you're going to treat your soon-to-be husband?!"

"If you keep doing that, than yes!" I responded, angrily stomping my feet up to the entrance.

He opened the door, and a rush of luke-warm breeze brushed my face. The villa already gave me a home feeling, probably because of how its interior design looked welcoming. The inside looked so much better; the grand living room had soaring ceilings and modern furniture, a massive stone fireplace, and a stunning wall of glass that framed the lake and the mountains beyond. Wait! What? A lake?

"You never told me about a lake," I frowned, amazed by the scenery I was looking at.

"You never had a chance for me to tell you about where we were going to live, cause every time you did, you'd run away," He rolled his eyes.

"Would you quit with the eye rolling? and that's because you--," I stopped, almost bringing up the kiss we shared, but he caught on quick.

"What? You thought I was going to kiss you again?" He put on a serious face, but than a smirk came onto his face.

Ace inched closer to me, just like last time. I gulped, looking at his angel carved face, and the muscles he now showed wearing a thin white t-shirt. If I screamed, no one would hear me, because the housekeepers wouldn't be here until tomorrow.

My eyes kept trailing over his kissable lips, to his nicely built tall body, until he his body touched mine, feeling his hard abs on me. This was bad, I thought as I stared into his eyes, but gathering up my senses, I quickly pushed him away, running into the closest room, and slamming the door, locking it. I slid against the door, and sat on the floor.

Don't let him get to you, I repeated over and over in my head. This was going to be hard, now that I think about it, a year is going to be too much for me.

A knock came from behind," Elle, I was just kidding, come out."

"Don't call me that!!" I shouted at him.

"Alright, just come out, I won't do anything to you," He assured me in an annoyed tone, and suddenly the lock clicked, and Ace pushed the door open, pushing me over.

" What the hell is wrong with you!!?" I stood up, brushing myself off.

"Come on don't be like this," He grinned playfully.

"Why shouldn't I?! God, you piss me off just by seeing your face," My blood boiled as I said those words.

"Well you're the one who agreed to marry me! Why are you the one getting mad?" It was his turn to shout at me now.

After that, I couldn't say anymore, because I knew he was right. Why am I so stupid?! I shouldn't be yelling at him, but he shouldn't be messing with me like that, or say hurtful things and lie afterwards about how I'm beautiful.

"S-sorry," I mumbled grumpily, and there was a couple seconds of silence.

"You seem to become more and more interesting," He smiled, walking out the door, but peeped back in, "by the way, you're in our bedroom."

Our bedroom? What does he mean by that?

"What the hell do you mean?" I cried out, marching out of the room.

"That's the master bedroom. There's two bedrooms in this villa, but the guest bedroom hasn't been set up yet," He looked over his shoulder to me.

"Wait. Wait, but there's got to be a hundred bedrooms in this house. There ca---,"

"And who would use those bedrooms?" He tried to make a point.

I didn't answer back since I didn't have a good enough comeback.

"Anyways we're getting married. We should be sleeping in the same room by now," He teased.

"Fine...then I'm sleeping on the couch!" I decided.

Ace

I watched her from the opposite couch just glaring at me angrily. I have to say, see looked adorable scrunching her forehead at me and slightly pouting her lips. Before I thought she was unattractive, but that was when I didn't realize how pretty she really was. She was like a model, Goddess, could even be the girl of every guys dreams. The thin floral dress she wore, showed all the right curves on her.

The more I was around her, the more I got interested in her, and the more I wanted to tease her. It amused me when she got mad. It almost made me want to kiss her more, and keep her as mine. If I told her this, it would make me sound as if I really did want to make it work for real. Just like Justin said, I was the King of Womanizing.

Without noticing, she started to chuckle at me, that's when I realized my stomach growled loudly.

"What? I'm hungry?" I replied, keeping my cool.

"Then why don't you fix up something to eat?" she questioned, her eyes staring down at the cream colored rug, covering the shiny grey stone floor.

" I-I don't know how to cook," I mumbled under my breath.

"What?" she starts hysterically laughing, flopping down on the couch, "Oh right, you've probably always had a personal chef."

"So?" I snarled, as her laugh subsided.

"Then why don't I just make us dinner....I'm a bit hungry too," she bit her lip, gazing at me for a second before standing up and heading towards the kitchen.

I followed her in and saw her with her eyes wide looking around.

"I-Its like a chefs dream kitchen," she wowed, lightly trailing her finger across the kitchen island.

"Do you like cooking?" I question, sitting on the opposite side of her.

"I enjoy it," she answered, with no eye contact.

"Okay, then what are we having, darling?" I lightly chuckle.

"Do you have to call me that?" she mumbled, turning to the stainless steal refrigerator, revealing a fridge full of food and beverages. The caretaker probably filled it up knowing a we were moving in.

"How does, Italian sound?" she questioned, still looking around in the fridge, but my eyes were fixed on her, you know.

"Ace?" she frowned, crossing her arms at me.

"Oh yeah, Italian, sounds great," I responded, with a nervous smile.

She rolled her eyes at me, and took out the ingredients. I watched her work, as if no body was around her except her being in the kitchen. She moved with ease, with a smile on her face.

Thirty minutes later, she had finished up cooking and looked satisfied. I had to give her props, it looked amazingly mouth watering, but I was going to judge at how it tasted.

"Elle," I frowned.

"Yeah?" she looked up.

" Why did you only make one serving?" I asked, as she pushed the plate in front of me.

"What? I-," she paused, looking around, and I could she her face flush.

I grinned, "You were thinking about only me weren't you?"

"N-no, don't jump to conclusions like that! There was only enough ingredients to make one dish," she shied away, trying to hide her embarrassment.

"Then, you want a bite?" I grinned, twirling the pasta on the fork, and bringing up to my mouth, but stopped to raise my eyebrow at her.

"Just eat it!" she said, frustratedly.

I took a bite, and instantly fell in love with her cooking. The taste was so unique, it addicted you right away even if it was so simple. I could taste the amazing flavors of fresh tomatoes, herbs, and spices.

"I-its so, good," I told her, taking another big bite, and forgot that she hasn't had anything to eat, "come over here."

"W-why?" she questioned.

"Just come over here," I repeated.

She slowly came over to my side, being cautious and stepped in front of me. I pulled her down onto a stool as she faced me, and swirled a fork full of pasta. She looked at me with confusion until I held the fork and pasta in front of her mouth. I had to give her a eat-it gesture for her to realize I was feeding her. Elle hesitated, but finally took a bite, which made me smile. She was cute.

"Isn't this how were suppose to act being each others fiancee and all?" I questioned, as she slowly chewed.

She gulped, "So your acting?"

"What did you actually th--."

"No I didn't, I'm just asking," she looked away, hopping off the stool, and walked out of the kitchen.

I knew she would react like that; Elle you really are interesting.

~

After finishing up the food, I walk into the living room to find Elle snuggled up on the couch with a pillow pulled against her chest. Kneeling down in front of her, I got a good look at her angelic sleeping face. She looked so peaceful, as if she was sleeping on a soft cloud. Lightly, I brushed off a piece of her dark brown hair. She flinched and slowly opened her eyes to reveal those crystal blue eyes of hers.

"Wh-what are you doing?" she shot up, glaring at me.

"Time to go to bed," I grinned, picking her up like a bride.

"Ace, put me down! I don't want to go to bed!" she shouted, pounding her fist against my chest, but it only made me laugh.

"I don't want to," I answered, kicking the door open, feeling as if we had already gotten married and now it was our honey moon.

"Ace Daniels!" her hits decreasing, but her voice was louder.

I threw her onto the king sized bed and headed over to the door to lock it.

"Why'd you lock the door?" she questioned, with a confused expression showing on her face.

"So you wouldn't go and sleep on the couch," I answered, sliding into the covers, she just stared at me for a few seconds.

"Fine, but make sure you're at your end," she ordered, and pulled the blanket off of me with all her strength.

I scooted over more," I can't stay on that side if you keep on pulling the blanket to yours."

She let out a frustrated groan and threw the blanket over me before laying back down in frustration.

Oh Elle, you are going to be so fun to be around.
