A Year with Mr. Arrogant 3

A Year With Mr. Arrogant (2011)

Abrielle

The Daniels hotel was overwhelmingly big, but of course this was the headquarters. Rich couples and families came in and out of the glass doors the doormen would open and close. Big pots of trees and flowers aligned on each side of the walk way towards the entrance. This hotel was so fancy that they had chandeliers hanging down out here even at the entrance.

I walked towards the doors and the men on each side opened them with a welcoming smile. My eyes went wide at what was revealed to me. The foyer was combined with authentic, elegant surroundings of the highest quality. This already created a sense of home away from home. The colors were mostly creamy, brown, and gold. The floor was a solid granite with patterns that changed in different areas. One word for the hotel.

Luxurious.

I made my way towards the counter, where a lady tapped her fingers on top of the desk, her eyes lazily fixed on the computer screen.

"Excuse me?" I said, catching her attention.

"Hello? How may I help you?" she instantly stood up with a cheerful change in her personality. I was surprised. Maybe they train they're employees this way?

"Uh, yeah. I came to see Mr. Daniels," I gave a faint smile.

"Do you have an appointment?" She questioned, sitting back in her chair.

"No but its really important. You see Mr. and Mrs. Daniels came over to my house yesterday and I find out they want me to, marry his son," I told her, wondering if I should have and realizing how stupid it sounded.

"Right, don't we all just want to marry Young Master Daniels?" she asked in a disgusted tone.

Young Master Daniels? Please.

Also, wow, do their employees have multiple personalities cause it just went from sweet to bitch.

"I'm telling the truth!" I argued back.

"Look, you better run along before I cal--," Before she could finish, my name was called by someone. I look over my shoulders and see Mr. Daniels coming over with two body guards on each side of him. The lady stands and bows, and stays standing and I give her a smug smile as if I was saying Ha!-I-Told-You-So.

"I knew you would come sooner or later," Ron Daniels smiled.

"Well, I've made my decision." I halfheartedly returned the smile.

"Let us go to my office, and we'll talk about it," He retorted and led me to the elevator and I secretly looked back at the lady and innocently stuck my tongue out at her and I mentally laugh at her pissed off face. Then I noticed the body guards kind of intimidated me, seeing how big they were and all.

We got to Ron's office and my mouth immediately hung open. How much room did an office need? A large desk was placed in front of two parallel couches, one side of the wall were completely eight foot glass windows.

"Please, have a seat," Ron said, already seated on one of the couches.

I nodded and sat across from him. A woman came over and set down two cups of tea before bowing and leaving.

"I'm sure you have lovely news for me?" He questioned.

"Yes, It didn't take me long to realize that, um, no offense but your son needs, help," I nervously chuckled.

Ron laughed, "Nonsense, we all know he needs help with becoming a mature adult."

"Can I ask why?" I asked.

" Of course......Ever since Ace was a young boy, he's always had this way of telling his self how he was the best of the best, he really took this attitude on board in all his thinking, he always thought he knew more than others, but still uses etiquette.....since he's the heir of the hotel business, his attitude does help for him to make it grow, but--"

"But you want to change the worst side of him?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Exactly....which is his carefree, womanizing side," He finishes.

There was a moment of silence but I finally told him what I wanted to do.

"I'll help, since its only temporary," I said.

A smile curled up on Mr. Daniels face, "That's great, but there is a few things I want you to do."

My stomach suddenly dropped, and wondered what he's going to say.

"I want you to live with him in a separate house, act like a couple at public events and the most fun part, I'm allowing you to boss him around if he does anything out of place," He continued.

"Wait, live with him, meaning just the two of us?!" I cried out.

"Yes, a few servants here and there of course," He smiled.

"I don't have to you know, sleep with him or anything, right?" I blurted out, wanting to make sure.

"No, but do keep in mind, you must act as a wife too," He responded with a chuckle, as I took a sip of my tea, feeling my mouth rehydrate.

I thought it over, and it doesn't seem bad, as long as I have to act this out and not sleep with him, than I'm fine.

"Justin, that is not how you bend a ball! Do you want to win the state championship or not?!" I shouted at my best friend, Justin.

We were on the soccer field practicing for the upcoming state championships that could take us to Nationals.

"Dude, calm down, not all of us can bend it like Beckham," He argued back with a chuckle.

I rolled my eyes, and took a soccer ball, placing it on the penalty spot of the goal area. With steady steps back I ran towards the ball and kicked it making the ball bend into the 90 degree area, showing everyone off.

"That's how its done. Now keep moving, we've got to practice hard!" I shouted.

I was the captain of the team and its been like this since my freshmen year. If I wasn't captain, there was no way these boys would make it to state every year. It wouldn't be a team without me.

The hottest girls of the school were on the side lines cheering us on. Too bad there weren't any cheerleaders for soccer, It would be hot to see them in short skirts. Then at the corner of my eyes, I see my sister coming down the stadium stairs with the girl I didn't want to see right now, Abrielle.

My sister smiled sweetly at me, but I knew under that smile was a conniving girl. Trust me, living with her all my life, she's evil as can be. She was a prankster in our younger days, but every time I'd tattle on her, she'd put on a sweet face and I'd end up being blamed.

I looked over at Abrielle who had her head in the clouds, but I could see the gears running in her head. Why the hell would she tell my dad she wants to marry me? Doesn't she hate me? Just looking at her, I see no beauty, but her legs were the only best features.

As long as no one knows about us being engaged, I was fine.

I watched Ace as he looked away from Jadine and I. He had this look on his face, as if he didn't want to see me. I guess, his dad was quick to tell him. Last night I thought of every possibility to boss him around. At this moment, the look on his face amused me.

Oooh this was going to be fun messing with a rich kid.

"I can't believe we're going to be sisters!!" Jadine screeched in my ear.

"Ssshh, keep it down, we can't let anyone know right now," I frantically covered her mouth, and Cassidy and her friends were already looking at us with confusion, and so was the soccer players.

"Shit! run!" I pushed Jadine, as Cassidy was coming over to us.

We sprinted up the stadium stairs. Our stadium wasn't like normal high schools, cause this one was built in to the ground, like a hole or something. Jadine and I got as far as possible for them to catch up that is if they were following.

"Why wouldn't you want people to know yet?" Jadine asked, as we breathed hard from the sprint.

"Cause, I don't want people thinking it's a rumor, so when we tell the press than they'd all know at once and it'd have more of an impact," I smiled, catching my breath.

"I love you as a sister already!" She said in the cutest way possible hugging me. I was only a few months older.

"Listen, I have to go, but see you tomorrow at my house," She smiled, skipping off with a few hand waves.

That's right, tomorrow was Saturday and I would be sleeping over at Jadine's house. I headed towards my car and unlocked it, but I couldn't even open it all the way, when somebody suddenly slammed it back close. I turned around ready to scream, but Ace covered his hand over my mouth.

I am so dead.

"Look I don't know what your planning to do, but why did you say yes?" He asked, his face so close to mine, that we'd be able to kiss.

"Cause, you need help," I spit those words out with venom after he uncovered my mouth, trying to push him back, but he stayed put. He stared silently at me for a few seconds, probably trying to read my expression.

"Fine......you want a husband?" He looked me dead in the eyes and a crooked smile showed up on his face, "Then I'll give you a husband."
