A Year With Mr. Arrogant (2011)

We got to this cute store where they sold wedding decorations and such. Ace and I walk in and I'm amazed at all the things in the room. Boy, this was going to be hard to choose out of which table cloth, table decorations and the color coordinating.
For a wedding that's not real, It sure feels like the real thing. Fake or not, I want it to go perfect.
"Hey, they're over there," Ace said, and I look up to see Mom, Mrs. Daniels, and Jade were already here.
We walk towards them and they were arguing about which center piece they should put on the tables.
"This one is elegant," Mrs. Daniels argued holding up a white candle with rose petals in it.
"But Elle likes purple," Mom argued holding up a fish bowl shaped vase with small purple flowers and a long candle sticking out of it.
Mom knew me the best of course but I would have to talk with Ace and what he thinks.
"Mom," I called, and they all shot their heads towards us.
"Good you're here. We need you to pick out the decorations," Mom said, pulling me to come look at the center pieces.
"Yeah, cause were going to get nowhere like this," Jade rolled her eyes.
I looked around and they were all beautiful. It made me want to take all of them but that would cost a lot. Each of the center pieces were over a hundred each. How are we suppose pay, oh wait, I can't underestimate the Daniels family.
"Remember you have your rehearsal dinner, and reception, so pick a couple different center pieces," Mrs. Daniels told me.
I could tell this was going to be a big wedding. How many tables are there going to be and how many guest are sitting at one table? I know for sure I have a big family.
"You like purple, right?" Ace hovered over my shoulder, looking down at the center pieces.
"How do you know?" I looked at his face, raising my eyebrow.
"Anyone would notice, most of your stuff is purple," He shrugged, picking up a glass vase with swirly designs on it.
Wow, did he really notice? I don't believe I ever told him my favorite color either. I know his is blue.
We heard some loud squeals and turn to the source of the annoying sound. Mrs. Daniels, mom, and Jade all stand there looking amused. I don't understand them until I notice how much of a couple we actually looked, just looking at the center pieces together.
"Don't mind them," Ace sighed, not even caring about what they were squealing about.
I just nod and get back to looking at the decorations, but truthfully I just couldn't stop smiling at the fact that he was this close. Normally I would push him away, but this? This felt comfortable.

For hours we continued looking; we've already got the different center pieces, white table cloths, and other wedding supplies. Our color theme was purple and grey, but of course some white. When we estimated the total, the price was over the mountains! We were going to get them ordered by the time of the parties.
We got to the car and it was already late. I was so tired I didn't even want to move at all. I could just fall asleep right in Ace's car.
"Are you okay?" Ace questioned, starting the car and the engine purred.
I opened my eyes to see his concerned face.
"Yeah, just a bit tired," I answered, sitting up straight.
"Well, you're going to have to keep your health up," He felt my forehead with the back of his hand.
"Chill, I'm not sick," I waved his hand away, "I should be telling you the same thing."
With a cute chuckle, he started down the street. Each street light that we passed gave the car a nice relaxing feeling. A mixture of colors glowed in his eyes.
"Care to join me for a late dinner?" He asked, glancing at me.
It almost sounded as if he was asking me on a date, but in reality he probably knew I was hungry, since we've been out all day without breakfast or lunch. Now that I notice, I was starving!
"Sure," I answered not sounding too hungry but my stomach betrayed me and made a growling sound. My face flushed red, and I held my stomach feeling embarrassed.
"Cute," He mumbled under a laugh.
I just stuck out my tongue at him, which he wasn't expecting but laughed at the end.

In all my experience with taking a girl out to dinner. I've never seen a girl eat like Elle, but than again she was probably really hungry. She still looked cute stuffing her face. In honesty, I hated the girls I've taken out to dinner other than Elle. They were all picky about what they wanted to eat.
One time a girl had ordered something to eat and refused to eat it when the waiter had brought it out because she thought it had carbs in it. It was chicken.
"Aren't you going to eat?" Elle asked, stabbing a piece of shrimp.
I smile and nod, taking a bite of my steak to assure her I was eating.
"By the way, what are you allergic of?" Elle asked.
"Tomatoes," He mumbled.
"I made to pasta with tomatoes the first night we moved in!" She exclaimed.
"It's very mild," I replied, making her relax a bit.
"Well, I hate tomatoes, so I won't ever buy them."
I wonder whats going through that head of hers.
"Ace!" An annoying voice said my name as I cringed.
I look at Elle who now seemed upset, watching the person behind me. I look over my shoulders and see a smiling Cassidy. What the hell was she doing her?
"Hey honey," She tried kissing my cheek but I pulled away, not wanting to hurt Elle, "Oh, I see, still putting an act around your fiancee," Cassidy made sure to emphasize fiancee.
Elle's jaw slightly dropped and I could see the hurt in her eyes.
"Don't think were together, because we never were. It's not an act," I made sure she got the point.
The look on her face said that she was pissed. With that I knew she was going to whine about this to her dad, and like I gave a crap. Cassidy was a daddy's little girl, and always got what she wanted too. I knew for a fact, she wasn't going to hurt Elle as long as I was around.
"Let's go Elle," I quickly set down a hundred bill, grabbed Elle's hand and exited the restaurant.
Once we got outside, Elle ripped her hand out of mine. I turn to face her and she looked at me with disbelief.

"Tell me the truth and don't think about lying like you always have," I asked him, breathing hard.
He one step towards me, two and he was so close to me like the first time he's pinned me against the wall, but this time I stood my ground, looking up at his unemotional face.
" That was the truth, and you want to know more?" He questioned, brushing off a piece of wind blown hair out of my face.
I quickly nod and wait for his answer.
"I want, I want to make it work," He came out and said, caressing my cheek with his hand, "I don't know why but the feeling you give me, well what ever magic you have, it's working on me."
"C-Can I-I really t-trust you on that?" I stuttered, his forehead touching against mine now.
"I wish you would," He said, almost in a whisper.
Without even thinking, the one thing I did that surprised him, also surprised me.
Yes, I kissed him.
