CHAPTER 65 : Everything comes to an end

Seth was sitting outside the hospital room with Rudhra . His eyes were darted towards the room where the doctors were .

"Was it necessary?" Rudhra asked Seth who sighed .

"I...I don't know . I just did what I felt was right " Seth insisted.

"Fawad might never forgive you." Rudhra frowned .

"I know" Seth didn't want to talk about it .

They had been in the hospital for the past 8 hours . The surgery of the stomach had already taken place , but Seth had contacted Eliza and asked her to conduct the brain surgery too. He knew if Fawad was given the option he might delay it further , but Safia's point was right . He couldn't let his cousin commit suicide willingly.

Rudhra was silent . He didn't even contact Kalyani till now to ask her about her whereabouts . Everything was a mess by this time .

Fawad was shot . The properties were confiscated and the police were looking for him too . Their plan was to leave the country for a while after killing Khalid , but because of Fawad's condition they couldn't do that.

Augustus rushed inside the hospital . He had been out taking care of other businesses. Rudhra looked at him .

"What is it?" Rudhra asked.

"The police are here Rudhra...you need to go" Augustus told him .

"I can't go leaving Fawad like this" Rudhra said in disbelief .

"You should . We will give you updates but for now , you need to go" Augustus insisted.

"Freaking hell ! It's not how things were supposed to take place !" Rudhra angrily grunted .

"That's exactly how things should have taken place...you are a criminal Rudhra . It's better to be out of this entire scene " Seth's calm tone wasn't able to hide his desperation to get the others out.

"Do you have the ids Augustus?" Seth asked and Augustus gave a slight nod .

"Then head out now " Seth told them .

"But won't Fawad get arrested as soon as he gets up?" Augustus asked .

"I will handle that . Trust me okay? Head to the airport you both" Seth put a hand on their shoulders knowing how worried they were . But it was necessary for them to head out of the country if they didn't want to face the trials.

"What if Kalyani calls me?" Rudhra was worried . Earlier he used to excell all the plans because he had no fear of loosing anything, but now it has changed.

"I will tell her about your addresses . Fawad had already planned a new life for you both . I will send you PDFs with your new documents and information for your new lives...make sure his work don't go to waste" Seth told them and Rudhra gave a slight nod .

Rudhra and Augustus left the hospital with their guns in their hands . Their steps were slow as they wanted to delay it as much as they could . Wanting to just hear about Fawad's news before they go, but it didn't happened .

Disappointed, they sat in the car driving off to their new destination. Seth watched them with a sigh .

"Sir's house is being emptied....only two things are left which he cherished. Who should I give these too?" A maid asked them . She had a cage of a bunny and a diary .

She had just came from the mansion after it was sealed by the police .

"Give them to Safia" Seth told them . The maid give a little nod . Seth was aware that the girls were still in the city . He had gotten a text from Omari, but telling it to the other two would just worry them more .

He silently sat all alone in the chair closing his eyes.

"Have something" He heard a voice from the side . He opened his eyes to find Sabrie holding a veg burger in her hands .

"You are still here?" Seth narrowed his eyes , and she gave a light nod. Seth ran his hands through his hairs in frustration.

"Quickly, go outside to the airport . There is still time you will reach there" Seth told her . He hated being incharge of all this , but he had no other choice .

"It's fine...I don't want to leave" Sabrie simply said passing him the burger while taking a sip of her own orange juice.

"It's not fine..you will be arrested" Seth told her , but Sabrie just shrugged .

She won't held any grudges or guilt for getting arrested . She didn't wanted to leave Seth behind alone to deal with the mess.

"You won't leave?" Seth asked noticing her behaviour .

"No, now please eat it . The sir down there had just microvaved it " Sabrie told Seth.

Seth took a bite of the food making Sabrie smile slightly .

"Okay kid , then you will be responsible for your own arresting and just know the policemen won't let you off easily" Seth told her but Sabrie just chuckled .

"They won't catch me...nobody has seen my face except y'all, and even if they do , I will be fine " Seth was slightly relieved to hear her words and decided to not pressure her more because she was indeed safer than the others in this scenario.

"Any news came?" Sabrie asked , feelings butterflies in her stomach at the thought of talking with her crush .

"Regarding?" Seth asked.

"The kid...who shot Fawad" Sabrie asked.

Seth just shook his head slightly.

"Not honestly . He ran away " Seth said and Sabrie gave a little nod understanding the situation.

"Did you told Safia...Fawad is shot?" Sabrie asked and Seth shook his head a little .

"Oh..Okay.."

The police soon entered the hospital with handscuffs and an arresting order.

Seth looked up at the officer , not wanting to talk , clearly knowing that they are here to take Fawad to the government hospital under the police care to make sure he doesn't run away.

"When will the operation be done?" The police officer asked , Seth shrugged pressing a button on his phone dropping a text to someone .

Sabrie stared at the officers "Can't you be quite ? His cousin is in hospital. Kindly wait outside like he is waiting"

Seth turned his head towards her in surprise , he was caught off guard by her taking a stand for him like that. The officer gave a little nod.

Seth was still an influential person with no criminal records so it was for the better only that they silently listened to him .

The police was waiting, but soon the wait was over . The nurse came outside in panic .

"Sir..." She turned towards Seth who quickly stood up , looking at her for some news.

"Some...some complications happened during his brain surgery and...and we couldn't save him"

Hearing it was enough for Sabrie to stare at Seth with sadness who almost lost his balance , sitting on the chair while taking a deep breath , not believing it.

"Nurse..note the time of the death 12' o clock midnight " Eliza said coming outside taking her gloves out of her hands .

Rudhra was using his phone in the flight . It was almost ready to take off , when a news flashed on his phone . It was from Google News.

"Fawad Siddiqui , the son of the infamous criminal and billionaire Khalid Siddiqui passed away shortly after his brain surgery"

Rudhra's eyes widened, filled with tears , he turned his head towards Augustus, whose hands were shaking reading the same news on his own phone .

It was all over the internet.

The midnight was here and the fairytale was over .

Before they could take any step or run , the flight took off . Rudhra couldn't believe it and he stood in his seat silently, still not believing the harsh reality .

While Augustus's face was bitter , filled with the pain of loosing his friend . Tears streamed down his face which he wiped , praying for his friend for the final time.

"Safia..."

Safia turned her head towards Kalyani as she rushed in her direction. Safia was seated on the couch holding with Zeheb's daughter in her arms .

The little girl was sleeping comfortably in her embrace.

Kalyani stopped for a second , recounting her decision, deciding if she should tell about the news to Safia or not .

"What happened?" Safia asked in confusion, looking towards the clock again and again hopefully, wanting to hear about Fawad and how his plan went .

She was already excited by this time, but Niya entered the hallway with shock on her face . Niya didn't realised that Safia was seated on the couch which was situated on the sidemost corner of the room . Niya just looked at Kalayani and asked "Can you believe, that Fawad is no more? It's all so sudden "

Safia just smiled and shook her head slightly , "Stop joking...It's not right to pull jokes like this. Mr Siddiqui would be back in an hour or two" Safia just cradled the child .

Niya pressed her lips together tightly realising her fault for talking about it in front of Safia.

"She's not lying...Fawad is dead Safia...it's all over the internet . Just look at it" Kalyani told her , feeling pity seeing Safia's condition. She didn't want Safia to undergo any sudden shock after seeing Fawad's dead body. She wanted to prepare Safia for the bitter news.

Safia opened her phone and looked at the news.

"It's fake..it's not real...stop believing every piece of news which y'all come across" Safia told them . Her voice was filled with fear and almost trembling , but she tried to maintain her confidence on her husband.

"It's not wrong. Here is the official statement from the police" Kalayni tried to pass her phone to Safia , hits Safia just slapped her hand away , making the phone fall on the ground .

"I am not seeing any of that" by this time , tears were silently rolling down her cheek , but she just cradled Zeheb's daughter in her arms not ready to believe any of it.

Niya hugged Safia tighly . She was the one to witness their love blossoming one by one and realising how difficult it was for Safia to believe any of it .

Safia just broke into tears and then stared sobbing hesterically in Niya's arms .

"He-He prom-ised" Safia cried , "He will come back...stop-stop saying things like that" Safia begged .

Kalayni just took a deep breath , not knowing what to do . Making Safia come to terms with reality was definitely not the best idea , so she just rubbed Safia's back.

"Okay...just calm down" Kalyani told her with worry seeing her taking deep breaths and having difficulty to breath.

"Yes....He will come back...please relax" Niya said joining Kalyani but it didn't help Safia's condition.

The pain in her chest was mixed with the difficulty of breathing .

Kalayni carefully took the baby from her arms letting Niya comfort Safia.
