CHAPTER 42 : Seth enters Delhi

Seth was standing at the airport . He had decided to arrive the very next day itself in Delhi . Fawad's phone was off . He sighed and started walking outside towards the area where his driver was waiting.

"Helloo sir" the driver greeted him .

"Hello to you too , I was gone for a few days and you look weak , are you not eating properly?" He asked the driver who just laughed.

"It's not like that sir.  I was given the duty of the Siddiqui mansion ,and you know how the people are" The driver told him .

"Yeah , they overload people a lot . You should have refused " Seth said and put a hand on his driver's shoulder.

"Let's go and eat something good . Take me to a dhaba" Seth told his driver . He truly believed that the real taste layed in the small shops foods .

"Okay sir," the driver sat in the car and started driving it . Seth took a bottle of shake which the driver got for him.

"Thanks" Seth smiled and took a sip of the cold beverage and he could feel his tiredness slightly vanish.

The driver smiled at that , and focused on the busy road.

"Well sir , I tried to contact Mr Siddiqui too, but his phone is off" The driver said with a slight worry , gaining Seth's attention.

"Okay ,don't worry much , I will call and check about it from Trojan" Seth comforted the driver , knowing very well that he cared about Fawad as he saw him growing up in front of his eyes.

"Hello Trojan" He greeted.

"Hey Seth , how are you?" She asked him while feeling happy inside , just after hearing his voice.

"Slightly worried . I got to know , you and Safia are in the same college.  Can you kindly get Fawad's information for me from her?" Seth asked her .

"Safia is absent from days" she told him , feeling slightly sad that he just called her for work , but what else could she expect from him . She was just there for them to provide information.

"Oh okay , do you still have any knowledge about them?" He asked.

"Yes , they are gone for vacations . Sir told me he will be back after a week" Sabrie told him , as her friend nudged her .

"Cut the call quickly, we must go inside" her friend whispered , and Sabrie just ignored her friend , to hear Seth's voice for few more seconds.

"Is it so . Thanks then , and what about Rudhra and Augustus? They are without any contact too . If possible can you meet me ? We can grab some food and perhaps talk about this matter too" Seth suggested . Although he knew that her whole work was just for giving them the information, he still thought that it wouldn't hurt to meet her in person and get to know her a bit .

Apart from it , he had many questions regarding past , that he knew that only Trojan knew the answer to.

"Oh-okay" she said as a blush spread across her whole face.

"Great , I am in the shop beside Bikaner , I will be waiting. Or we can schedule it any other day"Seth said , trying to make sure she doesn't have any plans which are left undone because of their meeting .

Sabrie looked at her friend who just shook head and clasped her hands together whispering begs to refuse to meet today. But Sabrie just held the corner of her bag's strip and said "Okay , I will be there in 5 minutes"

The call was cut and Sabrie's friend scratched her own face in irritation.

"You dumbo ! You could have refused him !! I get it he's your crush but whyyy!! Like whyy didn't you refused him ? Can't you understand today is our presentation. Mrs Mathur won't take it any other day ! We have already faced her in first sem" her friend whined.

"See-I didn't knew what to do , let Mrs Mathur fail me , I don't care . I need to go meet Seth . You know , it's my first time meeting him "

"But you could have told him to meet you another time Sabrie!" Her friend was beyond worried.

"What if he isn't free at that time ?" She asked.

"Then who cares , it's not like he likes you anyways" her friend said and Sabrie sighed.

"That's not my main concern , my main concern is—What if he finds me ugly?" Sabrie whispered opening her phone's screen and staring at her image . Her hairs were cut till her shoulder and open . Her front hair was in bang , and the huge round glasses rested on her nose bridge.

"Oh my gosh , I look ugly" she cried.

"Right, now come to the class , Mrs Mathur would be here anytime" Her friend said and dragged her in the classroom.

The classroom was huge with two doors . One at the front and one at the back .

"Stay here" Her friend pushed Sabrie on the front seat .

"I will come back in a second after taking the notes from Raghav" her friend turned around and went towards a boy .

From the huge windows of the class Sabrie could see Mrs Mathur coming inside .

"Screw it " she whispered and ran out of the class from the backdoor , her bag swung behind her as she ran as fast as she could to get out of the college and meet Seth .

It was the very first time she had bunked any class, and the thought that it was for Seth just made everything even more better .

"Coconut, where are you going?" Aditi asked while putting her headphones around her neck as she was walking towards the classroom to attend the presentation.

"I got some work—" Sabrie said awkwardly and ran outside again while panting.

Seeing this , Aditi shrugged her shoulder and walked off .

The door of the shop swung open and Sabrie entered the shop . She was panting and her bangs were sticking to her forehead with the sweat beads . She looked here and there , to find Seth and when she found him , she bit the corner of her cheek , almost doubting her decision of even going to him .

"Trojan?" Seth asked , while standing up from the chair and she gave a little nod hesitantly. Her whole bold self vanished into thin air as soon as she saw him.

"Come , sit" he pulled a chair and she sat down . He stared at her messy hairs which were all over her face and the tilted specs. She was taking deep breaths , because she ran all the way here .

"You look so tired , you could have taken your sweet time" Seth sighed and got up from the chair , going to the beverages machine , and pulled out a fresh bottle of mixed fruit juice for her . From the counter he took a small cup . He came towards her and sat down .

"Here please have this" he said in a sweet voice almost making Sabrie forget that it was their first meeting . He was more sweet and beautiful in personal life than he was on phone .

Everything seemed to be in an awfully slow motion as he poured the glass of juice for her and passed her . She kept staring at his face and how lips moved .

"Trojan" he clicked in front of her eyes while calling her name , making her come back to reality .

"Did you heard what I was saying?" He asked her and she shook her head slightly.

"I am sorry—please tell me again" she mentally cursed herself.

"You don't need to be sorry , I was apologizing for troubling you up at this odd hour" he said and she shook her head.

"No no ! It's just my college was at holiday, I just came here to submit some books at library" she lied and Seth gave a slight smile hearing that .

"Is it so ?"

Sabrie gave a nod , making his smile wider.

"Okay , so , I wanted to know more about Rudhra and Augustus Trojan. I know I shouldn't have started this topic this quickly, but I can't hold my worries back" He apologetically said.

"Oh no it's perfectly fine . Augustus is still with his wife , hoping for her recovery . The doctors said that there are chances she might recover . She still has one child , so she's pregnant and the doctors are monitoring her condition. And about Rudhra, his case is worrying me .

His guard told me that Rudhra comes home late , almost covered in wounds . He is going to the street fights and losing intentionally . He is almost always drunk , and when he wakes up , he is panting trying to take breaths . Guilt is taking the best of him" Sabrie sighed sadly .

"Guilt?" Seth was beyond confused and Sabrie realised that she had led out a secret with Rudhra trusted her .

A few days ago , she went to meet Rudhra. He was drunk and when she told him her identity, he finally spoke up .

"It's nothing , it's just he's guilty because he is of no help in such a situation"she lied.

"If it's truth , then it's fine.  But if it's lie , just know that in any case if Rudhra is behind this condition of Zeheb , Augustus will kill him . To make sure the situation is fine , I need to know it earlier , so that everyone is fine and safe" Seth told her and she stared at him , with a sigh.

"You won't tell Mr Siddiqui right?" She asked in a small voice and he shook his head .

"Okay, so Rudhra actually did this to her , because I told him the identity of Zeheb, I didn't knew this would happen . I came after a week or so back to the city . Mr Khalid Siddiqui had kept me in his mansion" Sabrie told him .

"Khalid ?"

"Yes, is it bad?" She asked in a small voice.

"Damn, his plan have succeeded atleast half of his plan" Seth connected the dots quickly , knowing that it's to keep the boys focus on killing as love is a distraction. Keeping Sabrie with him meant that only , so that she doesn't warn Augustus or anyone beforehand , letting his action take place smoothly, as he will just pull out this card when it's necessary.

"If Augustus knows this he will kill Kalyani too-Why don't you guys think before taking action?" Seth asked her in irritation.

"I didn't know , he asked for the information. I have him.  I am sorry Seth" she said in a small voice almost feeling herself getting emotional , because if something bad happens she would be one of the main reason behind it.

"You didn't told Augustus right?" He asked and she shook her head.

Seth pinched the bridge of his nose trying to calm himself down , when he noticed Sabrie's face which was sad.

"C'mon don't feel sad . We will work this through . You are free today right?" He asked her and she quickly nodded .

"Let's go to Augustus's house. I have heard he's keeping his wife there with medical staffs and see what he is upto , and talk with him.  If the situation remains fine , I will try to tell him the truth in a twisted way" Seth said awkwardly.

"He will never forgive Rudhra-"

"That's why I said a twisted way" Seth said. "But before that let's eat something. I am hungry" he tried to lighten up the mood and Sabrie gave a little nod while opening her purse to bring out her money , but Seth just showed her the palm a little as a gesture to not pay and he got the bills and walked over to the counter without wasting any time.

Augustus was changing the flowers of the vase which was placed on the side table . The crow which belonged to Zeheb now , kept taking all the flowers and playing it beside Zeheb's bed with its beak.

"I get it ,she deserves all the flowers , but not now Gold . Let her sleep" he told the crow, while picking up the flower from the bed and putting it on the vase . He petted the head of the crow gently.

Gold Huestun . That was her name .

Gold because —

In the time Augustus was setting up the room , Gold flew from the table and clung onto the shiny rack which was shining due to the rays of the sunshine entering the room .

Augustus smiled dryly at that and started to comb the hairs of Zeheb .

"Do you know , what happened in the next episode of Naamkaran?" He asked her.

As much as he hated that show , he knew that Zeheb liked it . When she was awake , he used to just doze off on the couch , but now he used to watch every episode to narrate the story to her .

He was in middle , when the bell rang , he turned to her, and pecked her forehead gently.  But was stunned when her eyes fluttered open .

Her dark brown eyes met with his ones.

"My gosh , my sweet darling" he hugged her and she just closed her eyes again , this time due to the stinging pain of the light in her eyes.

"Nurse get here!" He shouted and the nurse rushed inside.

"Please check her up" his voice sounded weak , but he was happy . His throat felt like it was full of a lump and his eyes were teary as they held the sight of his beloved who was getting checked by the doctors .

After sometime the nurse smiled and backed off .

"She's fine , but it might take her time to get used to walking , and holding objects . You should get a physician for that" the nurse told him .

"I will do that , please give us some private time" Augustus told the nurse who gave a slight nod and walked outside.

"I missed you so much , my sweet sweet darling. I missed your voice , your gaze , everything. You don't even know how much I have waited for this" he said through tears and she looked at him , as he extended his arms and held her in them .

"I-I was scared I will never be able to see you again" her voice was dry although she had drank a whole glass full of water , which the nurse handed her.

"I won't let that happen , I wouldn't let this happen again" he promised her holding her closer to his own body and she rested her chin on his shoulder as he spoke through tears.

"I am so proud of you for being so strong , for surviving" he kept whispering sweet words to her and tears rolled down her own eyes too. She sniffed trying to control her own self and stop herself from sobbing .

After crying in each other's arms , Augustus backed off and cupped her face in his hands. Marks were still under her eye and chin.

"Now my love , I just need to ask one question, just answer this okay?" He asked her and she gave a slight nod staring at his face like a lost child who was still trembling with fear.

"Who did this to you?" He asked as the need for vengeance which was in his heart came again .

He wanted to skin that person alive if that was possible, and torture the person as much as he could . At least after knowing that the voice of his wife was affected this much , because she was crying out in pain .

She opened her mouth to say , but didn't knew what she should tell him . She was torn between the barrier of truth and the web of lies she had built.
