CHAPTER 24 : Unveiling past

Rudhra came closer to her , and lifted her veil off , before she could protest . Rudhra narrowed his eyes.

"You aren't Kalyani-"He murmured.

"Radhika , are you lying about your identity now?" Rudhra joked .

"Look-I can-I can explain!" She stuttered.

"And what are you going to explain ? You took the identity of Kalyani , used her account for years leeching her brother , of his own money, crying that I am beating you up , and not allowing you to have a single penny after marriage ? Should I go on, or is this much enough for your list of crimes?" Rudhra asked her with a diabolic laugh.

Kalyani's running off from marriage was a secret to many, and one of them was her own cousin , Amrit . Radhika , who was Kalyani's sister , and also the bearer of the news that Kalyani ran away , happened to take her phone and leech Amrit of his money.

Rudhra couldn't know about a single thing , until the past year .

Flashback

Rudhra was getting out of the office after finishing a few people off , who scammed people under the name of Fawad's company. Before he could enter his car , a man came and held his hand.

Rudhra's guards were about to push him ,but seeing the face of the man , Rudhra stopped him .

"What are you doing here Amrit?" Rudhra asked in irritation. He never wanted anyone who is even the closest to Kalyani . He hated everything and everyone which reminded him of her . Including the streets of his hometown where he used to run , the shop where he spent his birthdays with his mother and later with both Kalyani and his mother. With years , he had realised he hated everything about his own life , because it was always about her.

"Rudhra-please return to me my sister, or if you are keeping her with yourself please take good care of her ! I can give you all the amount of money you want . Just treat her well ! She can't even call me with her sweet voice , because her throat always hurts by crying ! Please Rudhra" Amrit begged.

"What rubbish!" Rudhra scoffed.

"Your sister left me on the wedding day . And why would I want money? If I needed that I would have asked before " Rudhra irritatedly said. He have heard those taunts a lot , but in reality , he never asked for even a single penny . He even refused to let her parents spend a single ounce of money on their wedding too .

"What do you mean-You can't just lie ! I have proof"Amrit said in disbelief and opened his phone and pulled out Kalyani's number.

The texts of his sister begging for money were there and there were QR's sent .

"Are you really that stupid ? To believe texts ?" Rudhra asked and called the number . The person on the other side of the phone quickly cut the phone and a text came.

Bhaiyya , I can't pick up the phone now . Rudhra is here . He will be angry if he sees me texting someone.

Rudhra showed it to Amrit and his eyes remained wide.

"Then-then where is Kalyani ?" Amrit asked.

"Somewhere far . She's hiding herself and trust me that's for the good . Because the moment I find her , even her Kanha won't be able to protect her" Rudhra walked off .

Present

That day although he let it pass , a part of him wanted to take revenge on the person for messing with his identity. So he asked Trojan , who was their hacker to search about it . And it turned out it was Radhika.

He kidnapped her when she was out with her best friend and tortured her , till she cried and begged him for forgiveness giving him the sake of Kalyani, and for some unknown reason , he let her go .

And just when he thought , she mend her ways , she was posing to be her sister.

"I am sorry about those-"she awkwardly laughed.

"Sorry won't do you any good . Tell me the reason , because this time I swear I will blow your head off" Rudhra irriatedly said.

"Fine fine ! Even when you let me go , I was still scared about where I will go and what I will do and then a man rescued me . I stayed with him, and later Safia rescued me. I couldn't tell her my own identity, so-so I took the name of my sister and pretended to be her " Radhika said , hiding the fact that she was actually crushing on Rudhra in that meantime . She couldn't help but shake of that feeling of being his wife. Even when he was dating her sister.

"I doubt you "Rudhra pulled out a gun.

"Let me go please ! For the sake of my sister ! For the things you both had between yourself ! For the sake of good memories" She cried , but Rudhra just shook his head.

"Can't do that . You had one pass and you used it" Rudhra said.

"You can't just kill her !" Ismail said while defending her.

"I killed 43 people today , what makes you think I can't make that a 44?" Rudhra asked.

"Stop being an animal Rudhra. Leave that poor girl " Seth said , but Rudhra ignored and just loaded bullets in his pistol .

"DON'T!" Radhika shouted in fear.

"DON'T DO IT AND I WILL TELL YOU WHERE KALYANI IS!" She cried.

"And, why exactly will I care about where she is ?" Rudhra asked.

"Because-because she didn't betrayed you ! She didn't. We all lied to you " Radhika cried and kneeled down hugging his leg for mercy.

"You are lying to save yourself" Radhika cried after hearing Rudhra's words.

"I AM NOT ! I SWEAR !" She sobbed.

"Okay-tell me-if she didn't loved you , why would she take care of your child ?" Radhika asked.

"She has my child?" Rudhra asked in shock , as his heart became overwhelmed with so many feelings .

"Yes, she-she called me one year ago, telling me about her life and everything " Radhika said.

"Where is she then? Why did she left me ?! Tell me every freaking thing" Rudhra said while harshly grabbing Radhika's hairs and she nodded hesitantly.

"She is-She didn't left you . Mr Khalid's friend liked her  , so he used his influence and threated her that if she marries you , he will kill her . And to warn , he killed our chachu in front of us . Scared of you meeting the same fate , she ran away so that she saves you , and doesn't have to be with anyone at the same time .  " Rudhra was in shock hearing these words. There was no way that Khalid won't have known about this thing , yet he hid it from him.

"What if what you are saying is a mere lie?" He asked , as a part of him was still unable to trust Radhika.

"I swear ! Find your son , you can dna test or whatever you want . That will be enough proof that she still likes you" Radhika cried.

"Okay , where can I find him?" Rudhra asked.

"Little Flowers in West Delhi" Radhika hesitantly said .

"Okay-will Kalyani be there too?"he asked and she gave a nod.

"Who does she work under?" He asked before he started to go on the other side.

"Some Zeheb-"Radhika said remembering the name correctly.

Rudhra looked at her.

"Zeheb Huestun?" He asked and Radhika gave a nod.

"Yes , she goes by Zeheb Huestun now . She have married some Brittish man . I checked upon her a month ago , when Safia was at work" Rudhra gave a nod.

"Now can you give me freedom ?" She asked not wanting to be captured in Rudhra's torture room again . He sighed and then shot Radhika in her head.

"There is no freedom , better than death" Rudhra walked away and Ismail's eyes got teary at the sudden moment , and he held her body in shock .

Seth sighed and closed the eyes of the poor girl.

Rudhra on the other hand , had no mercy for her in his heart . She was a lier , who just used people to reach to the top . So what's the need of her to be even alive.

Rudhra still had a lot of questions in his mind and a heart full of ache . He didn't knew what to think or say . His mind was full of doubts . If Radhika's words were true , then his 7 years were a lie . And if her words were true , then it meant that the little hope he got in love was crushed too .

Either way he wanted to check it up .

He picked up his phone and dialled a number . "Hello Trojan"

"Yes Rudhra ? How can I help you this time?" The voice of a lady said from other side.

"Look into some little flowers school or whatever it is . It's in west Delhi and provides me the info with all the children , of the age 6 to 7 years , who have a connection with a lady who have moved to Delhi , not more than 7 years ago" Rudhra told her.

"On it . Will text you the info soon " The girl said and cut the phone .

Rudhra never saw how Trojan looked , all he ever knew was that she was one of the most trusted person , of Fawad . She was the one of few people, chosen by Fawad himself to work under him , instead of Khalid.

"Rudhra!" Seth said , coming from behind.

"What?" Rudhra asked in a light voice . In all these past years , after killing hundreds of people and suffering countless injuries , his voice sounded weak for the first time.

"I know , you aren't unaware that if Rashid does anything, then Khalid uncle would know about it too . If it's the truth, what will you do?" Seth asked with uncertainty.

"If that's the case , then only one option will be left—which is to rebel" Rudhra replied and walked away . He needed to clear his head and moreover , meet Fawad .

"You really did brought him here . I didn't expected you to be this strong Kalyani" Zeheb said with a proud smile almost making her dimple appear as she tapped the shoulders of the girl.

"Thank you ! Thank you" Kalyani bowed dramatically.

"I am so glad to see that you are back ! Handle him . He is so notorious that he doesn't even let me do my work. He keeps asking me to play with cars"Niya said tiredly while coming from behind with a boy. He was short and  looked cute with his chipmunk cheeks. His eyes were similar to that of his father's, and his lips were similar to that of his mother's . He was a perfect combination of both of his parents .

"Why are you troubling aunty Adikrit? If you want to play , then you can play , but let the other person comeplete their work first baby" Kalyani pecked the temple of her son.

"But maasi always play with me" He said , gesturing towards Zeheb . It was true , that the lady always played with her even when she was busy , but today Zeheb was out for wedding.

"Then let's play some more timee !!!" Zeheb said while taking the hand of Adikrit in her hand and he excitedly nodded and ran on the other side to play with her.

Niya looked at Kalyani who gave her son a half smile.

"Don't you think you should contact Rudhra ? I know you miss him too . Adikrit always asks about his father , and you don't have to worry ahout solely taking care of him" Niya told Kalyani while putting a hand on Kalyani's shoulder.

"Our lives are very different. He works for the wrong , and I work for the right . I can never be with a man who supports Khalid , and it's fine if my son grows up fatherless , atleast he won't be thrown into that hell hole by his own father " Kalyani muttered. She knew the way , Khalid's generation and his team has been going on . His friends sent their own sons to join the mafia , and it's known that after they all die , Fawad , Augustus and Rudhra's heirs will be the next to run the mafia.

"What if he returns to you ? And asks you for appolgy for misunderstanding you and does all the good stuffs?" Niya asked while blinking her eyes innocently.

"Then I will ask him to bring me white roses painted with Khalid's blood . Only then will I be able to be in relationship with him again, but not like he's coming back anyways" Kalyani chuckled dryly and just walked off to make lunch for Adikrit.

Niya sighed . She knew that Kalyani always looks about Rudhra . She even stalks him , just to see a glimpse of him , but will never admit it publically , because of his job profile.

But what could Niya do , instead of just letting it pass it front of her eyes.

'Love is indeed complicated . Mr Fawad likes Safia , but she doesn't like him back . Augustus loves Zeheb , and she does too , but she doesn't realise that . Kalyani and Rudhra love each other yet they won't forgive the past and find each other ' Niya tapped her head with her palms to calm her head down which was now aching even thinking of the problems these people are putting themself through, just for love .
