40. Her feelings

NEXT MORNING

Meera opened her eyes after a satisfying sleep. She turned back to look at Aashrit but he was not there like always and she knew where he would be this time.

And she lied straight on the bed looking at the ceiling reminiscing last night memories. A blush coated her cheeks on remembering his words, his proposal and her heart raced but then suddenly a wave of negative emotions hit her. Her mind started overthinking giving her all the thoughts which weren't supposed to be there at first place.

She suddenly remembered some words from her past

"This acne scars on your face, this chubby fat on your body, the lack of confidence, no personality. Who would look at you and let alone love you?"

Meera's insecurities started taking toll on her.

Why would he love me? He is so handsome and have such a nice personality while I have neither the look nor personality. And even if he fell for me, for how long would he love me? Won't he fall for someone else? What if he found someone better? What if he is proposing me just because he doesn't have any other option? What if he got tired of my introverted nature? What if he didn't like my silence?

Her thoughts were running wild when suddenly a voice caught her attention.

"Meera?"

Meera looked up only to find Aashrit standing there with a confused expression.

"Are you feeling fine?" He said coming near her .

He was wearing a sleeveless black t-shirt and shorts which were clearly showing his quads and calves making Meera gulped hard as they flexed on his movement. Her eyes followed his steps as they reached near her and those muscles were just a touch away from her.

Aashrit put his hand on her forehead worried about her health.

Meera looked up at his biceps crushing as he held his hand to put on her forehead. His chisveled hardened chest was peeking from the t shirt. Meera suddenly felt hot in his presence not being able to handle the athletic body of her husband.

" You are literally sweating." He asked worried breaking Meera's trance.

She looked at his face which was concerned for her. It wasn't a fake concern nor a forced one. It was genuine and Meera's heart melted.

"I am fine." She said moving his hand and stood up to escape the situation.

As she was moving away, Aashrit hold her hand and pulled her back. He put his hand over her waist and her hands landed on his chest.

"Aashrit ji." She shrieked.

"Are you ignoring me?" He asked with squinted brows.

Meera furrowed her brows not understanding his words.

"Look Meera, even if you ignore me, I won't ever regret my proposal." He said in a low voice .

Meera's eyes widened on hearing him .

"Baby look, I am not forcing you for reciprocating my feelings but please do not ignore me." He said moving towards her face and their noses almost touched. "If you would ask me to stay away from you, I would even do that for happiness but don't ignore me. Please."

Meera felt bad seeing him so vulnerable and put her hand on his cheeks "I was not ignoring you. And I am not pushing you away from me." She said and tiptoed " I also wants to give our relationship a chance but........" and she went silent.

She looked at his eyes and found the solitude inn them " I need time. I need time to accept these new changes." She said and her lips rested on his cheeks.

"Take my whole life. Just stay with me." He said hugging her and they both relaxed in each other's embrace.

Meera was in her class with Kavya. Like usual, Meera was sitting alone busy in her books while Kavya was feeding her with new gossip.

Suddenly the book from Meera's hand was snatched. She looked up only to find Ravi standing there with a charming smile. Meera's eyes shifted from him to his friends who were looking there curiously.

Meera didn't say a word and just raised her brows at her while Ravi was a bit taken aback on her reaction.

"Hii Meera. I am your senior , Ravi Sharma." He said with a smirk .

"Hi" Meera replied and forwarded her hand for him to give back her book.

Ravi didn't expect such ignorance from her and it baffled him but he composed himself.

"What are you doing today evening?" He asked again.

Meera raised her brows at him without saying a word.

"Would you like to go for a coffee?" He said again on getting no response.

Meera took a deep breath and looked at him with irritated expressions but still controlled herself from saying anything.

" I am really sorry. My boyfriend won't like me to go for a coffee with someone." Meera answered directly without beating around bush.

Ravi smirked at her and put both his hands on her desk and leaned toward her. "Your boyfriend doesn't need to know."

Meera smiled at him and crossed her hands over her chest and leaned back at her chair " You got the wrong girl. I do not cheat." She said with a smirk and added " It's not in my blood." She finished as she took the book from him and packed her bag.

She stood from her seat and tried to leave the class but her hand was held by him "Hey, you got the wrong idea. I didn't mean that."

Meera took her hand back from his " Whatever you mean sir. I am telling you that I can't go for a coffee with you because I am already committed." And she left the room holding Kavya's hand leaving Ravi there fisting his hand tightly.

"Oh God !! Did he just hold your hand? I swear to God Meera, if you hadn't shown him those scary eyes , I would have surely broken his wrist for touching you without your permission." Kavya said getting red in anger.

"Wait!! Didn't you use to like him?" Meera asked confused.

"Yeah until I saw him flirting with other girls too. If it was only you, it was cute but if he is doing that with every other girl then it's a big NO." Kavya said offended with a pissed off look and continued " How dare that scumbag to even touch you?"

Meera laughed at her and rubbed her back " Calm down hulk !! I handled it nicely."

"No way !! I'll tell Shivansh and team about this and we would surround him when he'll be alone and beat him." She said still in anger.

For the past days, Meera and Kavya developed a bond with Shivansh and his friends . Still no one knows about Meera's real identity but they now know that Meera is like an elder sister of Shivansh.

On hearing Shivansh's name, Meera got worried "No. Don't tell Shivansh ." She said worriedly.

"What do you mean? I need to." Kavya argued.

Meera got worried thinking how he would react knowing all this "Please Kavya ! You know Shiv is little protective over me. If he got to know about this, the situation will get worse. And it's their final year so I don't want them to get into some problem."

Meera didn't want Aashrit to know about this. They just started getting close and she didn't want to ruin it because of someone unimportant person.

Kavya thought about her words for a second and then looked at her "Ok then!! Let me handle it my way." She said confusing Meera as Kavya ran towards a bike.

Kavya stood there while looking around and then bring out a compass from her bag and punctured both tyres of a bike and ran back to Meera as nothing happened.

"What did you do?" Meera asked still confused.

" Nothing. Just punctured his bike. He wanted to take you out for a coffee , now, he has to take his bike to mechanic and have a date with him." She said and laughed out loud.

Her laugh was so contagious which made Meera laugh too.

"Come on! Give me company till parking." Kavya said and they both went towards parking.

Once they reached there, Kavya took her scooty and left while Meera took her phone out to call Adwait.

She was about to call Adwait but before that a bike came in front of her and stopped. She stepped back and clutched her Pendant and looked at the man with scared eyes and raging breath.
