DISCLAIMER: I know many of you are going to say why didn't Meera tell him anything. So, I want to clear my views on this, what I personally think is that a person who goes through all this just can't tell anyone until they feel safe. Aashrit and Meera's relationship is slowly getting better but it haven't reached that level where they are ready to share their deepest secret.

And also it's something, people can't even share to their family and bestfriends, let alone a person who just entered your life.

So, please try to understand her dilemma also.

_____________

"Meera " She heard Aashrit's voice and looked up to find him standing there looking at her with relaxing face.

And as she saw him, relief washed over her face. She knew she was safe. Her heart told her to run and hug him but her mind stopped her. She composed herself and held the jug from the slab. She looked at Aashrit and walked towards him.

"Hello, Aashrit." She heard Naman's voice as they were about to leave.

Aashrit turned back and gave him a blank look "It's Mr. Yaduvanshi for you." Aashrit said not beating around the bush and Naman's face fell on this insult but he couldn't do anything except for laughing it off.

" Hi, Mr. Yaduvanshi. I am Naman , Meera's cousin." He said forwarding his hand for him to shake.

Aashrit looked at him and then his hand " Hello." He replied and put his hand over Meera's shoulder without even looking back.

As they left kitchen Aashrit looked at Meera "Where's your chocolate?"

Meera was shocked at his sudden words and didn't know what to say and croaked out " It wasn't there. It must be finished."

Aashrit nodded and took the jug from her hand and left for the room holding her hand while Naman looked at their back angry at the insult.

As they both reached their room, Meera excused herself saying she needed to take a shower.

Meera entered the bathroom, stripped off her clothes, and stood under the shower. The tears that she had been controlling for so long finally left her eyes. Her tears mixed with the water and she sat down feeling weak. Her throat hurt with the pain she was feeling in her heart. She took the bodywash and rubbed it at every place he touched her. She rubbed it and rubbed it until she felt his trace washing away. The water trickling down her body was giving her relief. It was washing off his dirty touch but his words, his dirty words were imprinted in her mind and didn't seem to wash away. She put her hand over her face and cried.

She looked up " Please Mahadev, remove him from my life, And please make sure he was punished in a way that he never looked at another girl with ill intentions. Destroy his life Mahadev." She said with tears in her eyes.

She stood up and took a blade in her hand. She made lines on her thigh with the sharp blade in her hand. As one drop of blood oozed out, her heart beat started to calm down. She made another line on her thigh and put her back on the wall as every emotion started to leave her body. Her eyes was closing in peace when she heard a voice.

"Meera it's been so long. You'll get ill. Come out." Aashrit said startling Meera as the blade slipped from her hand.

She suddenly come out of her thoughts and looked at the blood trickling down her thighs . Her eyes went to the other scars decorating her thigh. She let the water flow over it to remove the blood traces and stood up to wear her clothes.

Wearing her clothes, she came out of the bathroom only to see Aashrit seeming angry at a call that was not new to her. She stood in front of the mirror and as she bent to take the hair dryer, she found a big Tempted chocolate kept there. She took the chocolate in her hand and looked back only to find Aashrit looking at her while he was still on call. He nodded at her and Meera smiled.

Her emotionless state disappeared on getting just a little attention from him. And her fluttered heart told her that her feelings were a little more than just crush over her husband. She didn't just smile at his gesture but at the fact that he was comforting her without knowing what she must be going through. She took a bite of chocolate and dried her hair looking at her red eyes in the mirror.

She didn't want Aashrit to see her red eyes and turned off the light before Aashrit could come inside and sat on the bed finishing her chocolate.

She was still thinking about Naman when her eyes welled up again and to avoid these thoughts, she lay down to get some sleep. But sleep was nowhere near her. Every time she tried to close her eyes, she saw that disgusting face and the disgusting look on her face.

She felt the bed dipping behind her and she knew it was her husband.

"Can I hug you?" She heard him.

She nodded knowing well that more than him, she needed that hug. And she felt his hand snaking around her waist.

Suddenly, he pulled her back to his chest. His hand tightly wrapped around her stomach while his second hand crawled under her arm and then wrapped just above her chest. He put his legs over hers. And their bodies glued to each other. This was the most intimate hug they had till now and it calmed down Meera's heart.

But her heart raced when his lips touched the nape of her neck making goosebumps appear on her skin.

He kept his lips there and spoke " Just like you supported me in my worst, I'll always support you, Meera." His words act like a spell working on her mind giving it a relief.

His thumb caressed her arm and stomach relaxing all the tight nerves. Soon, she forgot everything and leaned on him. She felt relaxed and drifted off to sleep.

She was slowly drifting off when she heard " Let's start our married life like a real husband and wife, bulbul." She heard the words without understanding it and drifted off.

NEXT DAY

It was the morning of Rakshabandhan, and even without any motivation Meera got ready for the day and it could be seen in the way she got ready for the day.

She wore a light green color suit salwar with small earrings and her hair was tied in a bun and flat footwear. Her dress reflected her disinterest in the festival.

She took a plate filled with kumkum, sweets, diya, rice, a glass of water, and rakhi. She looked up only to see her whole family sitting there with the same disinterest clear in their eyes. They never celebrated this festival but to hide it from Aashrit, they were ready to accept Meera as their daughter.

Meera tied Rakhi on Vishal's wrist and later on Anu's wrist who was way too excited. Vishal gave her an envelope of money while Anu brought out a pair of diamond earrings for her and Meera hugged her.

"Now tie rakhi to Naman also." Kamini Devi said gaining Meera's attention.

Meera looked at Naman and saw that same vicious look in his eyes and a dirty smirk on his face. Rakhi is not just a thread but is bonded with emotions and feelings. She didn't mind it tying to Vishal because at least he never made her feel uncomfortable or speak ill about her, they both just stayed away from each other and nothing much. But naman......

"What are you waiting for?" Kamini Devi said in a loud voice startling Meera and the plate almost left her hand.

Adwait who was there all the time swiftly held the plate and looked at the old lady "With due respect mam, she is the queen of Malwa and I'd prefer you to lower your voice while talking to her or else I won't hesitate before showing you importance of her respect." He said in a cold, dominating voice, scaring everyone around there.

A silence prevailed around the hall as Adwait bored his eyes into the soul of Kamini Devi. The silence was cut with the words of Aashrit

"I don't think Naman would care about Rakhi at this moment," Aashrit said entering the hall and standing beside his wife.

He looked at the confused expression of everyone and said "Anu Bhabhi, can you please turn on the news channel."

As the news channel turned on everyone's eyes went wide,

Half an hour ago, a fire erupted at the warehouse of company Arch, whose owner is Rao Naman Singh. This warehouse contained all the packaged material. The fire burnt the whole warehouse turning everything into ashes. The shares of Arch company also dropped since last night without any known reason in the market.

WAIT, WAIT, we got a piece of new news, it is the breaking news of the day. A video is being circulated in the media. In the video, Naman could be seen talking about putting the girls of his orphanage into prostitution. Recently, we got the tip that he runs prostitution in the name of an orphanage.

Police are continuously searching for him.

The anchor looked at the side for some moments and her eyes went wide in a moment as she quickly started reporting again

Many videos of Naman are being circulated all over the media. In one of the videos, he could be seen thrashing his employee and later banging his head on the wall, it was reported that the employee went into a coma after the incident, but no one reported it because Naman threatened his family with their life.

Such a Rakshas he is !! Even we can't see many of the videos in which he is assaulting girls and poor old people.

His videos of being involved in many corruption scams are also being displayed on the screen. We got some papers proving the fact of him being involved in the drug industry also.

Naman stood from the couch and ran outside while the whole family looked at the news shocked.

"Tsk....... Tsk......... Tsk...... Don't know whom he upset to get such a punishment." Aashrit said with concern clear in his eyes.

"Must be some Devil," Adwait said putting his fingers over his chin.

While Meera smiled, her lips curled into a small smile but her heart was dancing with joy.

" I think we should leave," Aashrit said taking Meera's hand who didn't avoid his touch and moved with him out of the house.

She took the earrings Anu gave her and left the money given by Vishal. As she moved out of the house, she looked back to look at the grief on the faces of those who tormented her. It wasn't satisfying but joyful. She held her husband's hand tightly and moved out of the house with happiness in her heart with Adwait behind them.

JUST BE PATIENT. THE GAME HASN'T ENDED YET.
