Chapter 301: The Truth
Rise of the White Dragon
At the same moment that Princess Clarice and Marques Thaylon entered the room, the temperature became denser and colder.
Clariceâs eyes grew alert, she grew fearful.
âDaddy discovered something, why do I feel he wants to kill me?â
The mere thought that her father found out what she and Marques Thaylon had done left her terrified, but not wanting to arouse suspicion, on the outside, she pretended that nothing different had happened, which is a mistake.
Clarice had complained about everything since she was a little girl, if it were she didnât feel guilty, she would have complained about the Patriarchâs cold temperature and bloody look.
âShe did it!â
This fact made Patriarch more certain that his daughter killed her sister. Even the fact that she avoided looking directly into his eyes was an even greater certainty.
âMarques Thaylonâ¦â The Patriarchâs cold voice echoed in the room as he looked at Marques Thaylon. Then he looked at his daughter.
At this point, even Marques Thaylon starts to worry.
âI know what you two did.â The Patriarchâs cold voice made them both shiver from head to toe.
âPatriarch, I donât know what youâre talking about.â Despite his fear, Marques Thaylon feigned ignorance of the matter.
âDad, Iâm confused too, what do You know?â Clarice almost panicked. She felt a great urge to run away.
âDo I need to draw?â Patriarch said with a cold laugh: âHahaha, you two made me a fool, but do you really believe that killing other women by making me look like a serial killer would fool me? Do they really think that?â
âDad, dad, I can explain, itâs not what you think.â
Quickly approaching the Patriarch, she took his hand while looking at him anxiously. Her eyes were panicked, fear gnawed at her, she knew how much he cared for her sister if he found out the truthâ¦
âOh, so what is it?â The disdain in the Patriarchâs voice wasnât hidden, he waved his hand making Clarice head toward the wall.
âClarice!â Marques Thaylon moved too fast and managed to catch her before hitting the wall hard.
*Cough!*
Marques Thaylon took the full impact, it was as if a cannonball had hit his stomach, making him spit blood.
His eyes wavered, he cared for Clarice, but not to the point of wanting to suffer in her place, but he didnât think the impact would be so strong, so he was surprised when he spat blood.
âHahahaha! I see I understandâ¦â The Patriarchâs laugh echoed very loudly inside the office. His eyes grew colder and sharper. âItâs nice to know you care that much about her.â A little disdain flickered in the Patriarchâs eyes.
âPatriarch, donât go too farâ¦!â Marques Thaylon, despite the fear he felt he was the son of an Emperor, did not believe Patriarch Miller would be able to kill him.
âToo far away⦠You mean like you and my bastard daughter killed my daughter?â The cold in the Patriarchâs eyes was like frozen hell.
âShe deserved it!â cried Clarice. She already knew that at this point there was no point in pretending. She saw how much Marques Thaylon cared for her, giving her courage to go against her father who had been afraid for a long time. âThat bitch, she knew I loved Thaylon, but she didnât want to break off the engagement, this bitch got what she deserved, she dared to call me a bitchâ¦! Iâm not wrong, she did, she was the bitch who wanted me to marry my man! Mine just mine!â
*SLAP!*
âWASH THAT FUCKING MOUTH WHEN TALKING ABOUT YOUR SISTER!â Patriarch slapped him so hard it made Clarice turn like a pinwheel.
When the Patriarch shouted these words, his face was completely red, saliva came out as he screamed, his eyes were like he wanted to strangle this unfilial daughter to death.
This time, even Marques Thaylon walked away. The love he felt for Clarice was no lie, however, he loved himself even more; seeing how angry Patriarch Miller was, he dared not side with Clarice and ended up dying from a lapse of anger at the Patriarch.
âY-You, did you hit me?!â Clarice couldnât believe it, in all her life, it was the first time her father had hit her, and it was so hard that when she spoke, five or more teeth fell out as blood ran down her lips.
âSilly girl, Iâm not only going to hit you, but Iâm also going to kill you.â Patriarch said coldly as he pointed his finger at her: âYou poisonous creature, just because of this man, did you dare to kill your sister, blood of your blood, the flesh of your flesh. Donât think you can go on living after what youâve done!â
âPatriarch!â
âShut up, you son of a bitch!â Patriarch Miller looked at the Marques Thaylon with eyes more dangerous than a beast.
âDonât think about leaving here alive.â Patriarch told him: âAfter what you did, poisoning my daughters against each other⦠I know everything, everything, all the evidence was found, I know you played one against the other and the winner would stand like you. Is not it?â
âHow did you find out?â Marques Thaylonâs eyes were in total panic.
âHahahaha!â The Patriarch laughed aloud: âFool, fool, fool⦠I was bluffing.â
âThaylon?â Clarice looked at him in disbelief, she even forgot the pain she was feeling at that moment while looking at him.
Patriarch looked at Clarice: âAnd you, you vile creature. Your sister must have initially fallen for this bastardâs game, however, something strange happened a few days ago, she told me I should promise I would never let you marry him, I didnât understand at the time, I just thought she loved him and for I didnât want to lose the fiance, but now I think I was wrong, and I regret not having paid more attention.â
âAhhhhhh!â Clarice screamed as she started to cry, she cried out loud.
She once loved her sister very much, however, as time went on, she began to envy her. He even wanted her fiance, and then⦠It got to the point of killing his own sister.
âYou canât kill me, my father will seek revenge if you do.â Pointing a finger at the Patriarch, he said while his legs were wobbly.
Faced with the oppressive power of an Emperor, he was nothing, if Patriarch Miller wanted to, even if he used all the resources he had to save his life, Marques Thaylon would not be able to get out alive.
âYour father, yes, your father would do that.â The Patriarch laughed: âBut he doesnât know, heâs still going to treat me like a friend when I visit to talk about the engagement, after all, no one outside knows what happened here in my town, and itâs going to stay that way until Iâll go âtalkâ with your father, if you know what I mean.â
âDo you⦠do you intend to kill my father?â Finally Marques Thaylon an expression of total dread.
Without his father, even if the Patriarch does not kill him, there were many people who had a grudge against him, some who were willing to torture him for millenniaâ¦
âDo not move!â As soon as these words were said, and even more oppressive power fell on the body of the Marques Thaylon making him unable to move.
âWanting to kill yourself?â The Patriarchâs eloquent eyes sneered as his lips curved in a cruel smile: âDonât think you can kill yourself, I wonât let you do that.â
Then he looked at Clarice.
âAs for you, unfilial creature.â Patriarch said: âIf you kill now, or else, I will do it myself.â
âFatherâ¦â Clariceâs voice broke. She was still remembering all the good memories she had with her sister, regret hit her hard, her face was streaked with tears. âI was a fool, yes, I know⦠No, I donât deserve forgiveness, I know⦠Dad, I was a whore, wasnât I? Dad, do you think sheâs going to forgive me in the afterlife?â
ââ¦â Patriarch was silent. He looked at his daughter as he looked almost lifeless, and just stood there silently as he continued to stare at her.
âDoes not matter.â She shook her head: âEven I⦠Sigh, nothing matters, nothingâ¦â She looked at Marques Thaylon: âI loved you, but it seems that love blinded me⦠Why does it hurt so much to imagine that soon will my father torture you so much that youâll wish you were dead?â
She shook her head and then with her own hands, twisted her neck, taking her own life.
