Chapter 492
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 492:
Madisyn was confused. Did she have a younger sister? Then she noticed the womanâs clothingâan old Chanel design. This was the dress she had given to a student she supported. The student had needed something elegant for a school event, and Madisyn had barely worn it because it had a slight tear. Seeing the studentâs need, she fixed it up and sent it to her. But how did this woman end up wearing it?
âWhere did you get your dress?â Madisyn asked sharply, grabbing the fabric of the womanâs dress.
âUm, I bought it, of course! This is Chanel. Keep your hands off!â the woman retorted, pulling away from Madisynâs grip. Suddenly, there was a tearing sound, and part of the dress ripped.
The woman panicked; this was the priciest piece in her wardrobe!
âYou bitch!â she yelled, raising her hand to hit Madisyn.
âSmack!â
Just as Madisyn was about to block the womanâs hand, someone else stepped in.
Andrew appeared behind her, his expression furious as he glared at the woman as though she were doomed. The woman, startled by his sudden presence but concerned about her expensive dress, stood her ground. âThis dress costs a hundred thousand! Youâve ruined it, and you must pay for it! Otherwise, Iâll call the police.â

âGo ahead, call them. Show us the receipt for your purchase,â Madisyn said, folding her arms and looking at the woman with a smirk.
The woman hadnât expected Madisyn to be so unfazed. She bit her lip, unsure of what to do next. The dress was a gift from a benefactor, and she had no receipt.
âIs this how you manage your employees?â she shouted at the manager.
The manager, clearly annoyed, responded, âPlease leave and stop causing a disturbance!â
âFine! Youâll regret this!â the woman said as she stormed off with her boyfriend.
âWait!â Andrewâs icy voice stopped her in her tracks. The woman turned around, and Andrew asked, âDid you hit her?â
âSo what?â the woman retorted haughtily.
âSmack!â
A book hit the womanâs face, causing her lip to bleed. Dazed, she was momentarily speechless.
Levi, who had been watching, felt overlooked. These people were completely disregarding his presence! Just as he was about to confront Andrew, he recognized the familiar striking face and was taken aback. It was him.
Levi found himself speechless, quickly pulling the woman away. Once she regained her composure, the woman said, âDarling, I was hit. Why didnât you do anything?â
âThat man is powerful for us to confront,â Levi answered.
Levi was a member of the Santos family, so his warning meant the woman had to reconsider her stance. Yet, she wasnât ready to let it go. She took out her phone and sent a message, hoping her benefactor would defend her.
Back in the room, the manager kept apologizing to Madisyn.
Madisyn gestured for him to leave. Andrew gently caressed Madisynâs face, his eyes filled with slight regret. âI should have hit her harder.â
Madisyn was about to reply when her phone buzzed with a message. She checked it.
âI was bullied! I went to the Natural Beauty store, and someone hit me hard there, but the manager did nothing. Iâm so upset!â
Madisyn frowned. This scenario seemed all too familiar. She texted back, saying, âWhen did this happen?â
The woman, Betsey Grimes, responded, âJust moments ago!â
Madisyn was left speechless. The person she had financially supported for so long had turned out like this!
âIs it her?â Andrew asked, looking at the message with disgust.
To those unaware, she might appear to be the victim. However, her earlier display of arrogance was off-putting.
âSeems like it,â Madisyn said, puzzled about how this woman knew her identity. Had she unintentionally revealed herself?
Such a sly woman.
And she had even managed to get into the Johns Group. Madisyn promptly called for an investigation into her role there. It was soon discovered that she was just a regular employee, but she was widely respected due to rumors that she was connected to the Johns family. Madisynâs expression grew stern.
Then came another message from Betsey.
âYouâll help me, right? By the way, isnât your birthday coming up? Can I come to your party?â Betsey was eager for a response, hoping to use the occasion to network with influential figures.
Soon, a reply arrived, saying, âOf courseâI look forward to seeing you there.â
