Chapter 180
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 180:
After what felt like an eternity, Evie finally began to regain her composure. She had always believed Kian would never cheat on her, but seeing him kiss Teresa shattered that belief. How naive she had been to think he was simply meeting a client for business.
She couldnât comprehend why Kian would betray her. Their relationship had felt so strong and fulfilling. If he wasnât happy with her, why hadnât he just been honest and ended things? As these thoughts raced through her mind, her tears smeared the phone screen, overwhelming her with sadness.

Just then, Madisyn sent her a message:
âEvie, it seems Kian might see Teresa as his ticket to wealth. Heâs probably with her to get closer to money. You need to see him for who he really is. Teresa has provided him with a lot of business opportunities. Theyâve likely been involved for a while.â
So, had Kian cheated on her for that? No wonder he had been distant lately. Evieâs heart sank, filled with sadness and disappointment. She had never expected him to act this way. While she knew that some in the entertainment industry used their bodies to advance their careers, she had always thought Kian was different. Now, she saw that the man she loved was just like those who chased after quick fame and easy rewards.
Tears streamed down her cheeks. They had been together for six months, and Evie had loved him deeply. But her love had been cruelly betrayed.
Madisyn sent another message:
âEvie, I know youâre in pain, but someone like him isnât worth your heart.â
Evie knew Madisyn was right. She replied:
âI understand now. Thank you, Madisyn. If you hadnât told me, I would have stayed in the dark.â
Evie stared at her reflection in the mirror and wiped away her tears. Her eyes hardened, no longer filled with sorrow. The members of the Klein family didnât let the pain of love consume them. She was determined to make the person who hurt her pay.
With that, Evie stepped out. Kian was on his phone when he saw her approaching. He quickly ended the call and asked, âAre you done?â
âYes,â Evie replied, then asked casually, âWho were you talking to?â
âA client,â Kian responded.
âWhich client? Let me see,â she teased. âWeâve been together for a while, and Iâve never even seen your phone.â
Kian was taken aback by her sudden request. His expression darkened as he frowned. âEvie, even though weâre together, we need some privacy. I donât appreciate you snooping around. Do you doubt me?â
âNo, not at all,â Evie replied softly. âI just wanted to see your phone. Other girlfriends probably check their boyfriendsâ phones too, right?â
âThatâs why I think those guys are weak,â Kian said disdainfully. âA personâs phone is private. Itâs unreasonable to just show it to others.â He looked at her and added, âWeâve been together for a long time. Donât you trust me?â
âOf course I trust you,â Evie said quietly. âI wonât insist on looking.â
Kian nodded and softened his tone. âThatâs my good girl. Letâs go have dinner.â
Evie nodded, though her eyes remained cold and distant. When they arrived at the restaurant, Kian excused himself to the restroom, leaving his phone on the table. He trusted Evie completely, knowing she had never betrayed him. She even knew the password to his phone but had never used it.
Now, looking back, Evie felt utterly foolish. With a sneer, she unlocked the phone and immediately saw a flirty message from Teresa. Without hesitation, she sent Teresa a message.
When Kian returned, Evie set the phone aside and continued their conversation as if nothing had happened. Kian felt a sense of satisfaction seeing how compliant Evie was. Her complete trust in him was deeply gratifying, and he was reluctant to let go of someone who depended on him so completely.
If it werenât for his ambitions of wealth and power⦠But that didnât matter. Once he married a rich woman, he could keep Evie as his mistress. Lost in his happy daydreams, Kian was startled when the door suddenly opened and a woman walked in.
He assumed it was the waitress, but when he saw the womanâs face, his fingers shook, and the spoon slipped from his hand. What was she doing here?
âHoney, youâ¦â Teresa began, but then she noticed another woman with Kian. Her eyes narrowed in confusion as she looked at Evie.
Evie looked just as surprised and asked, âHoney? What are you calling my boyfriend?â
âYour boyfriend?â Teresa said, disbelief evident in her voice.
âYes, heâs my boyfriend,â Evie replied, feigning shock.
Sweat dripped down Kianâs forehead. He hadnât anticipated this confrontation. As the two women stared at him, he scrambled to think of a plan. He quickly moved to Teresaâs side and whispered, âTeresa, Evie is just a friend. I came to congratulate her on winning the singing competition.â
âReally?â Teresa asked, still suspicious. âThen why did she say you were her boyfriend?â
âSheâs had a crush on me for a while,â Kian sighed. âI was planning to set things straight today and let her know youâre my girlfriend.â
Teresa seemed to accept this explanation. After all, Kian was handsome and successfulâit made sense that another woman might have feelings for him. Teresa immediately adopted an arrogant demeanor, looking down at Evie.
âEvie, Kian is my boyfriend. I suggest you keep your distance from him,â Teresa said smugly.
