Chapter 165
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 165:
Asherâs mother, Yadira Cruz, was hunched over his hospital bed, her face streaked with tears. Despite the throbbing pain coursing through his body, Asher wasnât too alarmed. After all, he had been in countless fights before.
âMom, whatâs going on?â he rasped, his voice hoarse. âWhy are you crying like that?â
Yadira struggled to speak, her sobs choking off her words.
âMom, stop crying. This isnât the first time Iâve ended up in the hospital.â
Finally, Yadira managed to speak, her voice trembling with sorrow. âAsher⦠youâ¦â
Asherâs brow furrowed, a knot of unease twisting in his gut. What could be so bad that it had reduced his usually composed mother to this?
âJust spit it out, Mom. Iâve been fighting my whole life. Whatâs there to worry about?â
Yadira took a shuddering breath, her next words cutting through the air like a death sentence. âYour⦠your genitals⦠theyâre destroyed. The doctor said youâll never be able to⦠to be a man again.â
Her wail pierced the room, filled with anguish. âAsher, who did this to you? I swear, Iâll hunt them down and make them pay!â
Asher, her only child, was the last hope for the Cruz family line. Now that hope had been shattered.
Asherâs world tilted. His mind struggled to grasp the enormity of her words. His heart pounded as he realized the severity of his injuries. That bitch, Madisyn⦠she had kicked him so hard that he was now impotentâforever!
âAh!â Asher screamed, clutching his head. âItâs Madisyn, Mom. Madisyn! Sheâs such a bitch! How could she do this to me!â
âDonât worry, Asher. Iâll make sure we get justice,â Yadira replied, her voice filled with cold determination.

At the high school reunion, after Asher had fainted and been rushed to the hospital, the shocked eyes of the attendees followed Madisyn as she helped Susan, who was clutching her back in pain. After ensuring there was nothing serious, Madisyn decided to take Susan to the hospital for a thorough checkup.
Just as they were about to leave, Jenna blocked their path.
âMadisyn, you should apologize to Asher. Heâs the Cruz familyâs only heir, and they wonât just let this slide,â Jenna said sternly.
Madisyn smiled coolly. âIsnât this what you hoped for, Jenna? You invited me here just to stir up trouble, didnât you?â
Jennaâs face twisted in indignation. âMadisyn, how can you say that? I just wanted us all to reconnect. Itâs been so long.â
âJenna, donât waste your breath on her,â Gilbert sneered, his disdain obvious. âMadisynâs lost it. Ever since your family disowned her, sheâs been vain and vindictive. Keep your distance from her.â
Jenna seemed torn but didnât argue further.
Teresa chimed in, âJenna, let her be. If Madisyn wants to self-destruct, thatâs her problem. Sheâs delusional if she thinks she can charm Dane. Gilbert never liked her; what makes her think Dane will?â
Gilbert glanced at Teresa, something about her tone unsettling him.
Jenna turned back to Madisyn with a helpless expression. âMadisyn, let me give you some advice. Stop depending on men. You leaned on Gilbert too much, and when that ended, you latched onto another. You need to stand on your own.â
âExactly. Relying on your looks wonât last forever,â Teresa added.
Some in the crowd nodded in agreement, while others seemed skeptical.
Madisynâs gaze swept the room before settling on Gilbert. âGilbert, when we were together, who was really helping whom?â she asked calmly.
Gilbert tensed, memories of how Madisyn had quietly supported him when he first joined the family business rushing back. But under the scrutiny of their former classmates, he couldnât admit that.
âMadisyn, I think you know very well that it was always me supporting you. Being my fiancée brought you many advantages,â he replied stiffly.
Madisyn laughed softly, irony lacing her tone. âAlright, Gilbert, if thatâs how you see it.â
Gilbert avoided her gaze, struggling with the truth.
As Madisyn walked away, Teresa scoffed. âSheâs insane. Asking Gilbert such a questionâhow absurd! Sheâs just a manipulator, relying on men and still playing the victim.â
The crowd murmured in disappointment.
âThe Cruz family will make sure she pays for crossing them,â someone muttered.
âShe canât compare to Jenna,â another added, all eyes turning to Jenna, who sat gracefully beside Gilbert, exuding poise.
Jenna smiled, pleased with the way things had turned out. She had successfully painted Madisyn as a gold-digger, and everyone seemed to agree.
As the dinner neared its end, attendees thanked Jenna and Gilbert for hosting. Just then, a manâs phone buzzed with a notification from the school forum. He raised an eyebrow.
âWhatâs this?â he muttered, intrigued by the headline: âWhatâs the True Nature of the Most Handsome Boy in Our School?â
