Chapter 367
The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call
Chapter 367 Unusual Sleep
While Wynter was still lost in thought, Marie had been sleeping since
she returned to the hotel.
Shane had confiscated her phone and placed it aside after muting it.
Although he held contempt for the fake heiress attempting to deceive
his wife, he wasnât so crude as to inspect Marieâs phone.
Observing Marieâs peaceful slumber on the bed, Shane signed softly.â Why are you so soft-hearted?â
Concerned about the possibility of her overdosing, Shane called the family doctor to come over to
check on the medication dosage.
The doctor shook his head, reassuring him, âEverything is fine, Mr. Quinnell. Mrs. Quinnell hardly slept
since her episode two days ago, so her physical strength is quite depleted. Thatâs why sheâs sleeping
so deeply.â
Shan breathed a sigh of relief. âThatâs good to hear.â
âYouâre truly a devoted husband, Mr. Quinnell,â the doctor said, his tone tinged with envy. âIâll prepare
some nutritional supplements for Mrs. Quinnell to receive intravenously.â
Shane nodded. Before heading to work, he lit a medicinal incense in
the room. Even though he couldnât take time off work at the moment, he decided to arrange for Yvette
to examine Marie the following day
as a precaution.
As Shane pondered, thoughts of Fabianâs recent unusual behavior
crossed his mind.
Upon arriving at the company, he headed straight to Fabianâs office to
confront him.
âDad, you canât just keep Sevie hidden from us. Whatâs your plan?â
Shane questioned.
âWhen the time is right, youâll meet her,â Fabian replied calmly. âSince Sevie is returning to the Quinnell
family, we canât take it lightly. We need to gather all her brothers and your in-laws as well.â
Shan was taken aback. âMy in-laws?â
âOf course!â Fabian retorted. âWhatâs the matter? Worried they might
bite you?â
Shane let out a sigh. âDad, why do you always push me like this?
Arenât you upset when my in-laws disrespect me?â
âIf you were my son-in-law, Iâd probably treat you the same as them,
Fabian remarked.
Tapping his cane on the ground, he continued, âMy daughter-in-law is
flawless, whereas you-Just stay out of our sight, will you? Come see
me when youâve figured things out and stop bringing up that adoption
matter.â
Shane hung his head in despair, feeling isolated as no one in the
family seemed to understand him. Even his sons ignored his
messages.
On the contrary, Shaneâs uncle, Declan Quinnell, seemed to empathize
with him, often advising him not to take it to heart.
Despite Declanâs advice, Shane couldnât help but feel angry.

âUncle Declan, do you think itâs right to kick Naomi out of the Quinnell
family like this? Sheâs just a college student. We canât just cast her
aside like that.â
âYour father probably worries that Sevie would be upset when she
sees Naomi,â replied Declan, Fabianâs cousin and the Quinnell familyâs
eldest member.
Shane smiled wryly. âSevie has been away from home for so many
years. During her absence, Naomi was the one who brought a brief
moment of peace to the family.
âIâm sure Sevie will understand when she returns. Weâll explain
everything to her.â
âI see your point, but your father sees it differently,â Declan said,
taking a sip of tea. âBe patient, Shane. Letâs wait until we meet Sevie.â
Shan glanced at Naomi, who was admiring antiques in the living
room. âNaomiâs such a dear, I donât understand why my father
disapproves of her.
âShe carefully selected a set of antiques for him, but he rejected them
all. Poor Naomi. Sheâs just trying to be a thoughtful granddaughter,â
Shane said sympathetically, unaware of the contradiction in his
words.
Declan stroked his beard. âWe still have plenty of time ahead of us, so
thereâs no need to rush.â
Meanwhile, Naomi, overhearing their conversation, couldnât help but feel jealous. She knew Fabian
planned to gather all the Quinnell
brothers to welcome Sevie.
Even after all her years with the Quinnells, she had never received
such treatment.
It was evident that the Quinnells favored the blood-related heiress
more than her.
