Chapter 138
The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call
Chapter 138 The Hidden Surprise of Wynterâs Identity
âI, Iâ¦â Larry was utterly speechless.
Ultimately, it was Wynter who came to his rescue. She whispered to Margaret, âGrandma, heâs
recommended by the Lopez family and has appeared on the Southdale TV station.â
âIs that so?â Margaretâs attitude changed instantly and turned to look at Larry. âThen heâs a VIP guest.
We must treat him well!â
Upon hearing that, Larry felt a sense of relief in the fact that he had appeared on TV for the past couple
of days.
âThereâs no need for any special treatment. I-â Larry began to decline, but Wynter chimed in with a
smile, âWeâve got to treat him to a meal. Iâll take him out later.â
âThatâs right. We should grab a meal together.â Margaret, like many older folks, tended to believe what
she heard on TV. âMr. Lopez still remembers us.â
Larry was left wondering which âMr. Lopezâ Margaret was referring to.
Wynter glanced at him. âMr. Lopez Senior has always been supportive. He helped increase my
popularity during my live streams, which got Mr. Hilton interested. Initially, Mr. Hilton only planned to
invest in the Lopez family. As for the Empathy Clinic, it could be considered
a fortuitous investment.â
Larry, who had traveled from Kingbourne to Southdale, wasnât about to let this opportunity sl*p by. He
nodded enthusiastically. âExactly! The Empathy Clinic is only an additional
investment!
Margaret finally let her guard down and whispered to Wynter, âIs Mr. Lopez also involved in
this collaboration?â
âHeâll be there to sign the contract,â Wynter replied calmly. âMr. Hilton only came here to get to know
us.â
Larry nodded quickly. âThatâs right. Iâd like to get to know you!â
If other people in the business world saw Larryâs current compliance, they might begin to suspect that
he was under a spell!
For fear that it might haunt him later, Jerry refrained from lingering on Larryâs compliant demeanor.
Margaret remained cautious. âIf youâre dining out, take Wolf along with you.â
Larry was puzzled and wondered who, exactly, Wolf was.
Just then, a boy in a lab coat, who had a large black leather bag slung over his shoulders, walked over.
He lifted his eyes and smirked at Larry.
Larry was stunned upon seeing Wolf and stuttered, âHâHow did he get here?â
âHe?â Margaret sensed that something was off. She frowned and inquired, âMr. Hilton, do you know
Wolf?â
It had always been Margaretâs heartfelt wish to help Wolf find his family.
Margaret had firmly decided that if Wolf was indeed an abandoned child, she would take this secret to
her grave and leave him a house.
But if Wolfâs parents were searching for him, she would make sure to promptly reunite him with them.
Wynter noticed the tension and gave Larry a meaningful look.
Sensing his mistake, Larry hurriedly spoke up, âI did meet this young friend once!â
At that moment, Larry must have summoned the courage of a lion to refer to Wolf as a young friend.
With the instincts of a seasoned businessman, Larry quickly added, âHe once helped me out. Iâve been
looking for him for ages, and Iâve finally found him here! Madam, it seems that fate has brought us
together!â
Margaret was doubtful of his words and turned to Wolf to ask, âDid you really help him?â
After a momentâs thought, Wolf nodded and gestured.
Margaret chuckled and affectionately patted his head as she teased, âYouâre such a little moneyâlover!
How can you expect payment after lending a hand?â
Wolf lifted his head defiantly and glanced at Larry, as if questioning why he couldnât expect some
reward for helping someone out.
âNo. I should be paying!â Larry exclaimed and reached for his checkbook.
The thoughtful Wolf gently placed his leather bag on the ground and revealed the payment code
printed on his clothes. Then, he raised his hand and pointed at it, as if he was trying to say, âScan this!â
Jerry couldnât help but wonder if Wolf really was twelve years old.
Wolfâs actions truly reflected his position as someone under Boss, and his move was
undeniably brilliant!
