When I woke up in bed the next day, Miro and Theon were gone. I checked the time and discovered it was eight minutes past eight in the morning. My stomach suddenly grumbled.

“Are you awake?” Miro’s baritone voice slithered into my head.

“Yeah, and I’m hungry.”

“Come downstairs. Breakfast is being served.”

Getting out of bed, I left Theon’s room and headed to mine to change and brush my teeth. After I was done, I brushed my hair and put it in a ponytail before dressing in a red shirt and high–waisted jean shorts.

The moment I got downstairs and entered the dining, all eyes turned on me.

At a long, golden themed table filled with all kinds of assorted food and fruits, my mates sat opposite El and my mother while Dominic sat at the head of the table along with other officials I haven’t met before. The moment Theon and Miro saw me, their eyes roved over my body in the same manner and fashion like they were synced together.

A pleasant shiver rattled down my back as I made my way to them. Miro was the first to rise and pull the seat between him and his twin for me and I graciously sat down and let him push my seat in.

Shortly after, I was introduced to the three men sitting close to Dominic. The first was an extremely beautiful blonde man with the clearest blue eyes I had ever seen. His name was Zed, and he was Dominic’s Beta. The other two were equally good looking and were known as Cole and Dave, both the Gamma and Delta, respectively.

After exchanging greetings, Miro filled my plate with a little bit of everything and while the table settled into a discussion, I began to wolf down the meal with extreme seriousness.

of my stomach opened up and I had one duty to fill it.

I was halfway through a large drumstick when I realized someone asked a question and everyone was staring at me. Some with amusement, others with shock.

Only my uncle and Theon stayed stoic, their eyes shining with amusement.

“I’m sorry, what?” I swallowed, trying to backtrack on the conversation going on.

“I was asking when you’d be ready to take your seat as Queen.” said Dominic.

I looked around at everyone, completely clueless. If anyone had told me that I’d go from being an orphan worried about her next meal to a princess and Luna about to become Queen of a whole kingdom, I’d laugh in the person’s face.

“Uhm.” I cleared my throat, taking a napkin to wipe my mouth. “As soon as it is safe for me to do so. If the coast is clear, I’ll go, but I’ll need a favor.” I said, looking at both my mates before looking at Dominic. You guys have ruled Kingdoms and know what it takes to rule. I’ll need every help I can get because I have no idea what to do.”

My uncle smiled then, and I blanched at how…human he looked as opposed to the mean god vibe he put out.

“Of course, Princess. Whatever you want.”

I blinked again. My face, heating up at his nickname for me.

“Easy. It’s just a title, you don’t need to blush.” Miro’s voice slithered in my head again and I turned to him with my brows furrowed. Miro rolled his eyes, his face in a tight frown as he played with his food.

I turned to Theon, whose expression was blank but also seeming to avoid my eyes.

“Seriously, you both are jealous?!” I mindlinked them and when I felt their sulky mood, I became all the more surprised and amused. “He’s my uncle, you know? My UNCLE”

“Now, I have to work on the nickname I gave you.” Miro continued, “What’s ‘Baby? That’s so unoriginal. Theon calls you Bunny. At least that’s special.” Miro grumbled, and it took all I had not to burst out in laughter.

“I love being called baby.” I replied, sliding a hand over his thigh. Miro stiffened instantly, before looking my way.

“You do?”

“Yes.” I replied, giving him a smile before also putting my other hand over Theon’s thigh. Slowly, I inched closer to their sensitive parts as I rubbed both of them lovingly. “I love being called Bunny, too.”

Miro cleared his throat and readjusted in his seat, while Theon stayed completely still.

“Do you three need a room?” El suddenly asked, catching my attention and I froze, completely forgetting I was in the company of people. Retracting my hands, I chose to focus on my meal, while my face grew hotter than it had ever been before.

“Well, maybe when you find your own mate, you’d understand.” Miro countered.

El pffted, and rolled her eyes just like Miro before facing her food. I glanced at Dominic to see him watching her, but he didn’t look amused anymore. I guess they still aren’t on good terms.

At the same time, my mother’s chuckle filled the room. “I remember when I met your father, we were so into each other, we’d forget the world exists.” Her laugh reduced to a wistful smile, and a pang of sadness jabbed me right in the gut. “We are all here for you, my sweet pumpkin.” She said, with so much love in her eyes that mine watered.

I replied with a quick nod and a swift smile.

After breakfast, I spent the day with my mother where we discussed her properties and how to get things in order. Theon and Miro, on the other hand, had things to discuss and later, a lunch date with El.

When I finally got back to my room later that afternoon, I found two boxes sitting on my bed.

One was a box signifying a brand new iPhone and the other, a huge black red–ribboned box sitting on my bed.

Curious, I went to it and found a small handwritten note on it.

“I know you’re wearing the spare clothes given to you, so I bought this so you could have something to wear to dinner with me. I promise to give you my card for all your shopping expenses afterwards. See you at seven. Sincerely, your uncle, Dominic.”

Smiling and blushing hard, I opened the box, and my smile faltered.

In it was a blue luxury silk floor length dress with a fur coat to match and diamond jewelleries as accessories. Checking the time, I decided to open the phone, insert my new sim and do the necessary things. Then after that, I went on to have a long bath.

By the time I was done, fully dressed and slipping on the last earring, Miro and Theon walked in, and paused.

I turned around, beaming with smiles as they stood and assessed me from head to toe, Miro’s lips slightly apart.

“What?” I queried in a teasing tone.

“Look, I get I have to share you with my brother and deal with the fact that another man other than my brother calls you princess.” Miro muttered. “But this?” He motioned to me from head to toe. “This is too much. I hate competition.”
