“Where’s the suppressant?”

Pei Yunge asked.

Hearing this, Chu Zhixing handed the other two boxes of suppressants to Pei Yunge.

Pei Yunge glanced at one of the boxes that had not been opened and glanced at the syringe in her hand. “Did you inject it on time during this period?”

“Steven said that my condition has improved a lot and I can reduce the number of injections.”

Pei Yunge nodded. “I’ll bring this back for investigation first.”

“What’s wrong?” Chu Zhixing looked at her.

Pei Yunge licked her lips and gave a faint smile. “I want to see who is so daring to seek death.”

Suddenly, Chu Zhixing and Lu Yuansi understood what was going on.

Pei Yunge was suspecting that someone had deliberately made Chu Zhixing’s illness act up on the spot.

Chu Zhixing had just finished speaking when Lu Yuansi suddenly said, “Brother Chu, who is going to inherit the company in the future?”

Chu Zhixing and Chu Zhiyuan were half-brothers.

Lu Yuansi could not help thinking too much.

Chu Zhixing shook his head and denied, “My brother won’t hurt me. Although he doesn’t like me usually, he’s not that kind of person.”

“Your brother won’t, but someone will help him do this.”

Pei Yunge suddenly said.

These words stunned Chu Zhixing. Then, he thought of something and his expression did not look too good.

“What’s wrong?” Pei Yunge noticed Chu Zhixing’s strange behavior.

Chu Zhixing shook his head. “It’s fine. If that person was here, she might have done this, but that person isn’t here.”

He glanced at Pei Yunge and Lu Yuansi. “My brother’s mother went up the mountain to cultivate after she divorced my father.”

“Later, my mother married my father and passed away from an illness. My brother’s mother came back to take care of me when I was growing up.”

With that said, he pursed his lips, his eyes filled with fear towards that person.

“Are you hungry? Let’s go downstairs and eat something.”

Pei Yunge suddenly changed the subject.

Hearing this, Chu Zhixing brought the two of them downstairs. When Mr Chu saw Chu Zhixing come downstairs, his expression darkened.

“Zhixing, why are you downstairs?! Do you think you didn’t embarrass yourself enough last night?”

Chu Zhixing clenched his fists. “I’m taking my friends out for a meal.”

“Friends? How can you possibly have close friends given the state you are in now?”

With that said, Mr Chu glanced at Pei Yunge coldly. “Miss Pei, I heard that you’re the Elder Young Miss of the Qin family who has just returned.”

“I heard that Miss Pei chased away the original Miss Qin the moment you returned. Why? Is there anything good about my son that Miss Pei likes?”

“Dad!”

Chu Zhixing’s eyes were cold and there was a faint redness in them. He clenched his fists tightly as the veins on the back of his hand popped out. He snorted coldly, “If you really hate me so much, you should have strangled me earlier.”

Hearing this, Mr Chu’s expression changed and his body froze. It was his first time hearing Chu Zhixing say such a thing!!

Mr Chu’s first reaction was to think that Pei Yunge had led Chu Zhixing astray!

“Miss Pei, this is the first time I’ve seen my son treat me like this. You’re really capable.”

Mr Chu gritted his teeth.

Pei Yunge raised an eyebrow and glanced lazily at the people who were watching the show.

She smirked. “Why is Mr Chu so angry? Must you be calculative with a little girl like me?”

Everyone was speechless.

These words sounded right.

But why was this person so confident??
